Love it or Hate it.

Ahh Thin Lizzy... this product is definitely a love or hate one. I first used this when I was about 16 yrs old (8yrs ago) and absolutely hated it. It was very orangey and very tricky to use. I too looked like an ompa-loompa so it went to the bottom of my makeup bag and was forgotten about.Years later I was given a Thin Lizzy set and decided to give it another go. This time I had a friend who happened to be a makeup artist who showed me how to use it correctly. First, less is more. You dont need very much of the product at all. I start with the apples of my cheeks and light dust them, then blend upwards along my cheek bones. Then I lightly dust my nose, forehead and chin, and blend in using little circular motions. Finally I put a little bit on my eyelids using my finger. I think this product is better as a bronzer like others have said and you definitely need to practice a bit to get the hang of it and not turn out looking like an ompa-loompa.

Tips: Less is best!

Thin Lizzy

As a bronzer only, yes this is an ok product, but use in moderation. It is very easy to go from having a bronzed glow to orange. But the TV ads claiming it can be a foundation - no way! Unless you are after the orange oompa loompa look. The brushes disintergrate really quickly, and forever pulling the stray bristles off my face. The lip gloss that comes with it is disgusting, sticky mess. I did find the eyeliner a decent enough product. I would probably look at a different bronzer next time.

Bronzer not foundation

This was good over top of my foundation as a bronzer but not as an all over foundation. I didn't find it good as a bronzer elsewhere as advertised. The brushes are great which came with it. The lip gloss that came in the kit was way too sticky.

Tips: I would use this over top of my current foundation to give yourself a bit more colour, but be careful not to apply too much as you don't want to look orange.

That's what I do - brush it lightly over tinted moisturiser and it works well for me.

Substandard

While I liked thin lizzy I didnt like its claims that it could be used as an eyeshadow and lip colour.

I really enjoyed the brush that comes with it and the eye pencils. I used thin lizzy as a contour(despite its shimmery-ness) and a blush and while it wasnt easily blendable with a little patience it turned out quite nice. With a light hand it can be quite buildable

Thin lizzy

Not something i would personally use again, i didn't like how it had glitter in it and shimmery bits. When i would apply a small amount i would look very tan which i did not like. Would recommend to others, but not my cup of tea. I do enjoy the lip gloss that you get with the deal.

not good on fair skin

I have really fair skin, trying to find a foundation that suits is really hard, I tried thin lizzy and my face went too bronzed even though I hadn't used much. also found I had break-outs after use. wouldn't use this product again, not suitable for ALL skin types as it says!

Powder? Nope. Bronzer, yes.

The product claims it does 6 in 1, in my opinion, it's only good as a bronzer just because the shades do get slightly darker then the usual light powders. It get can glittery like aswel, and the smell is a bit put of. I like the brush though.

Good ol' thin lizzy

I like using thin lizzy. I find it handy when I'm just nipping out and don't want a full face of makeup. I use it as an eye shadow at times too. I really don't like the lip gloss that comes with it. It's very sticky! The brown part of the pencil is great for my eyebrows. Be better if you could buy the powder for a lesser price without all the extras.

Not for me

I really strugle to find bronzers that work on my skin ...im super fair, blonde and most bronzers tend to go orangey or just too brown for my face.... i love thin lizzay concealer so i thought id try this....and it was terrible for me to dark...i could never get it too look right it always looked to dark no matter how lightly i put the stuff on..i really rate the concealer but this i wouldnt bother with...

More like 1 in 1...

First of all: the only thing worth using in the set is the powder itself. The eyeliner is terrible and smudges SO easily. The lipgloss is gross. The brush is adequate. It's good that you get 2 in the box but I'd rather pay half price for one. I wouldn't use thin lizzy for anything more than a general bronzer and eyeshadow - it does work well for that though. Lasts a while, just not exactly as great as it claims to be.
