Sadly not my favorite facial suncreen. I love Sukin and I have high expectations on this product and really wanted to love it. The texture feels like Maybelline's dream matte mousse foundation from the 2000's (admit it, you loved it too lol) but feels more gunky and gloopy. Also an odd smell but maybe because it is a natural product and has no fragrance but fragrance had never been an issue to me with other Sukin products and I have tried so many and loved them all. I did wonder if maybe I got a dud product or it's expired but I checked the expiry date and it's months before expiration. I had it exchanged, but it's the same thing. It feels and smells expired even though the expiry date stamp says it's OK, it's just how it is. Sorry Sukin! I hope you reformulate the gloppy texture and weird smell as it's very off-putting for me, and I'm usually a fan of natural and fragrance-free products. The matte texture is great and no white cast. Looks great but doesn't feel or smell nice at all.
Is it effective as a sunscreen? I have medium/olive skin that tans easily and I don't easily burn. I didn't burn or tan so I guess it does what it claims.
Things I like: this product offers quite good coverage and is super moisturising. It goes on well and I love that it is reef friendly. It seems to be offering good sun protection. Things I don't like: it's a bit dark for my skin. I find it transfers quite easily. I'm worried that it isn't absorbing into my skin and therefore might not be offering full coverage.
