Ever since I got my vertical labret done I've noticed my lips being a little bit drier and cracking quite a bit. So I was happy to accept the invite onto this trial.
The packaging is super cute. A red/orange tube with a black lid the tube was quite solid.
Solid because the product is really thick maybe?! I found I had to really squeeze super hard to get any product out. I placed a wee bit on my pinky finger and rubbed to together with another finger to warm it up a little and make it a little bit easier to apply to the lips. Ice noted once it's warmed up a little it tends to be a bit thinner and a little goes a long way.
Did it do much for my lips? Yes it kept them hydrated through out the day it seemed to help them drying out and cracking. However a day without it? I had noticeable dry patches on my lips. Noticeable cracking and super dry lips.
For this reason it's a product I won't regret purchase or recommend to a friend. While it's good in the moment it's not great in the long run.
Firstly the packaging is so nice! It's very pretty and the screw top lid is easy to use. The product itself is so thick though that it takes so much effort to squeeze out and it's hard to control the exact amount. I was squeezing so hard I thought I'd pop the tube! It's unscented and is a white-ish balm. It's very thick and you need quite a bit of warmth to melt it so that it will glide easily over skin.
Whilst not the easiest product to use, it definitely does what it said it'd do. It is incredibly moisturising and lasts for ages until it gets rubbed off by food or drink. It's worked really well for my lips these couple of weeks where the weathers quite cool and my lips have been quite dry. It acts as a salve. I also find that it works for dry skin and cuticles too - but is often a bit too greasy for everyday use. I haven't used it long enough to comment on it's effect on skin texture. Using it on the ends of my hair also makes it look shinier and healthier.
Overall, I quite enjoy the actual product itself, but I'm just not a fan of how thick it is! Every time I squeeze it, it just takes too much effort and I wouldn't repurchase.
Tips: Use it on lips, dry skin, cuticles and hair ends! The tiniest bit goes a long way!
