Pleasently Surprised

I was quite skeptical about this product to begin with. But was quite amazed that it actually did leave my skin moisturised. I have never used a product like this before, so it was a bit weird at first but It's won me over. My only issue with it is that it is quite greasy and when your washing it off that ends up on the bottom of the shower and makes it quite slippery which could be a bit of a safety hazard if your not careful or clumsy like me :P Doesn't feel greasy once your rinsed off and dried though.

nice product

This is my go to shower gel; I also use other brands, but Nivea is always in my bathroom.

Solid product, correctly priced. Recommended!

nivea in shower moisturizer

This is a brilliant idea. I'm usually dressed by the time I remember to moisturize so having this in the shower is a simple step to add to your routine that's highly rewarding. I find nivea products not too harsh on my skin which reacts to most products especially on my upper back and forearms. It leaves most of my body soft and quenched but I still require body butter on my sensitive areas but that's expected as I need extra oils to stop getting dry and itchy. I wish it where a bit cheaper than $9 though as its the most expensive thing in my shower

Tips: Rinse the shower after using to prevent someone else slipping over.

A Convenient Way to Hurry Up Your Shower Routine

Firstly, this product is amazing. I love it. I am one of those people who finds moisturising after a shower to be a chore. It's silly I know, but it's just one of those quirks.

Enter Nivea In-Shower Gel. The product has a pleasant scent and it's too "perfumey", it's very creamy and easy to apply to cleansed skin.

When I came out of the shower, even after rinsing I wasn't a fan of the 'slippery' skin feeling, but once you pat dry it's all good.

I was shocked to see that my skin was not dry well over 8 hours later. I didn't really test the 24 hour longevity claim as showering twice daily means that just ain't happening. But the product does exactly what it says it does for my needs and works brilliantly. If you haven't already, you should definitely give it a go.

Tips: Scrub your body with a nice exfoliator so you come out the shower with soft and smooth skin :)

Pretty impressive!

I thought I would put this to the test and try it as a shaving cream.. Let me just say that it wont work! Lol. Its too thick and will clog up your razor!

Anyway when I used it properly I noticed my skin smelt delicious and was definitely thoroughly moisturized.

I tried this on my arms and legs, the arms I definitely noticed as moisturized through out the day as my skin had been in the last stages of healing my tattoo and was a bit dry.. With using this I didn't feel the need to apply moisturizer throughout the day! I also noticed when drying off my legs weren't dry either which was lovely. I find when the seasons change sometimes my legs can get a bit dry/flaky.. Nothing major but noticeable when drying off after a shower.. This definitely stopped that!

Must have product for dry skin

I love the way this product works. I'm always on the look out for a decent in shower moisturiser. I had quite a problem with dry skin and this product has helped this. I no longer have any issues after using this product. Its reasonably cheap and does what is says it will.

Awesome idea Nivea!

I've only tried the sample of this but really liked it! Loved the lingering smell on my skin and the silky feeling. I'm really slack at moisturizing so can see the potential for this product

Tips: Don't use too much, its quite slick and goes a long way, pat yourself dry instead of rubbing, rinse shower floor before getting out

Brilliant for winter

This product doesn't work exactly like a moisturiser in that my skin doesn't feel 'moisturised'- but neither does it feel dry and scaly as it often does midwinter. I use this in conjunction with a quick swipe of regular moisturiser every couple of days and while I wouldn't rely on it alone it's definitely helping keep the dry winter skin at bay :)

It has a pleasant, light fragrance and lovely texture, plus it comes in a huge bottle that lasts and lasts.

Moisturize? yep but for very dry skin? Not so much

Both I and my hubby have very dry skins, especially in the lower body. So I’m very picky about buying proper body lotions. The thing about lotions/ creams for extra dry skin is, they are usually thick and takes longer to absorb. So when I saw the advert on TV for this product, I was so excited to try it and lucky me, I managed to grab this from Sylvia park warehouse for a buy one get one free offer. And one went to my shower and the other to my hubby’s shower.

True to its name, Nivea in-shower body lotion has a consistency of a lotion; and a generous palm-ful is enough for my entire body. They don’t specifically say how long it should be left on the skin to be properly absorbed but I usually leave it on my skin as I apply the hair conditioner. So it sits on my skin for about 4-5 minutes before I wash it off and that’s plenty of time for it to be absorbed.

The smell of this is similar to the original “Nivea Creme” which brings up happy memories about my younger days and good smelling mum’s. :) Too bad it doesn't last long.

Bottle is a decent size which is easy to grip onto and open. I think this will last you for about 1-2 months; depends on how much and how often you use it, obviously. For me, I think it’ll last for about couple of months but my hubby’s bottle is already at its life’s end within the first month of use. :)

The first time I used this, it felt really peculiar to touch my skin and it’s a hard to describe feeling. Skin felt both slippery and sticky at the same time if that makes any sense, and it wasn't very pleasant. I felt as if I’m not clean enough. Have you ever used any oil bath bombs that contained too much oil thus you had to wash some off after the bath? Well this was somewhat like that. But thank god, after I pat my skin dry that icky feeling went away. It has been about a month since I added applying this cream to my daily routine and the slippery feeling doesn't bother me anymore. Oh and if you’re wondering if you get your skin wet, would the sticky/slippery feeling come back; ever the experimental me, I waited for 30 minutes or so, and stuck my arm under a faucet and was relieved to find it wasn't sticky or slippery anymore.

All things considered I’d say this is definitely worth the price. Regular price of this 400ml bottle is about NZ$9-10 which is not a high price on itself. But if you manage to buy it during an offer like I did, it’ll be a great bargain.

Tips: Folks if you have bath/ shower (means already slippery floor); be careful when you use this product. Don’t get it on the floor too much, or you will be face planting on the tub floor like I nearly did. They even warn about it in the label, which I conveniently noticed after I slipped.

And this is not like one of those moisturizing shower creams, which both cleans and moisturize at the same time. This is just a moisturizer that should be washed off, means you should use this after you use your body wash or shower gel or whatever product you use to wash yourself with. It’s kind of like the difference between hair conditioner and hair leave-on conditioner. Here, the Nivea moisturizer works as a hair conditioner where as regular body creams works like leave on conditioner.

Given that I haven’t used any ‘in-shower body lotions’ from other brands, I have no idea how this works compared to others, but this product is way better than any moisturizing shower creams I've ever used. Still, this can’t beat a regular body lotion made for extra dry skin in the moisturizing department but this sure absorbs faster.

Easy Peasy!

I love this product, I am super lazy with after shower lotions and this is a quick way to get the moisture your skin needs without the hassle of rubbing in cream after a shower. Especially in Winter!

Tips: It may leave the shower slippery so warn the next person.
