thanks, but no thanks

thank you to BR for the opportunity to review this NZ product. when i got the invite, i was very intrigued to try this balm that claimed to be 'anywhere everywhere balm'.

i have had a nice long time to try this product. i will confirm that it is moisturising on the lips as a lip balm, can 'heal' minor cuts, and does well on dry spots on the body or face. my ultimate test was to see if this 'anywhere everywhere' balm can help 'heal' my husbands dry cracked heels...I'm afraid to say it fails at this.

so would i buy it again? No, i don't feel it is worth the money...even with the fact that it has 'healing active manuka honey'

did it do what it said it would? yes and no. its good for minor scrapes, sores, and dry spot, but what other moisturiser or cream isn't? and the fact that it wasn't able to make change to my ultimate test on my hubby's cracked heels, it definitely isn't the be all and end all of 'healing' moisturising balms. i would never throw out my other creams and moisturisers to replace it with this one.

would you recommend it to friends? No. for its price, most definitely not.

Tips: its got a lot of 'natural moisturising' oils in it, so be careful where you put it. i.e. don't put on your feet then walk around, and maybe don't put on your face if you are naturally oily.

It's the Bees Knees!

Simple as I LOVE IT! I have very dry elbows and extremely dry feet, and since having my daughter its been even worse. I gave myself a pedicure and rubbed this balm all over my feet and put socks on and left overnight, in the morning they were so moisturized and nice, I now do this every night to help with my cracked heels, especially since wearing jandals daily. I rub a small amount on my elbows in the morning to help with that as well.

Tips: A little bit goes a long way and is amazing on sunburn. I wasn't smart one day and got sunburnt really badly, I spread a generous amount of this on my burn and it helped soothe it and stopped me from peeling.

Needs to be in stick form

I have to say the actual product itself was wonderful, it soaked into my skin and moisturised accordingly and worked as describe, my hands especially were quite soft after application I am happy to say as a person with dry and reactive skin that I had absolutely no reaction at all so bonus for me! I did find I had to wait a little while before putting clothes on otherwise I got the greasy transfer onto the fabric but found it easily fixable with a little extra rubbing time, otherwise it worked well at moisturising all areas of my skins with the exception of my dry heels which remain dry no matter what I put on them. However I think I would be more likely to use this product as a lip balm or as a once a week treatment rather than everyday as its just a lot of rubbing required to get the product onto your hands and then onto your skin again out of the jar. The biggest annoyance for me was the amount of work it took to get it onto my skin. The product is firm inside a jar and requires the heat of your skin to get it soft enough to spread. For use on the body it would probably be easier to use in a stick form that pushes out like a deodorant making it far less work to get onto your skin to begin with, otherwise you are stuck rubbing this stuff for a while and it takes a long time to get it everywhere and absorbed into your skin.

Tips: I would avoid puttting this product on your face as its just too heavy for this area of the skin. As feedback to the creators: a stick form would be a lot easier to apply than in a jar.

Wild Ferns Here, There and Everywhere Balm

So i tryed this and this is a game changer i am quite impressed at how multi purpose this balm is.The balm is quite hard but i warmed it up with my fingertips by rubbing in circle motions youll get what mean once you try. But once its soften it feels like a thin vasline oil and it is super easy to apply. I used it as a lip balm, moistuiriser on my hands, arms, feet and face, and also the best bites im always getting bitten so any itchy i had i rubbed a little on and straight away it relieved and soothed the bite this made me super happy and suprised too. I was always looking for something that helps relieve itchy bites and this definitely does that, this is probly why i love it lol. But i super recommend this as it is very versatile and very beneficial for the skin. I am defs going to keep getting this.

Tips: Rub your finger in circular motions to soften the balm.

Bees knees

I loved this product. I used it as a lipbalm. And tried it use it as a healing balm. I got compliments on how soft my.lips where. But it DoD nothing when I put it on top of my pimples in fact it made them a oil worse. My daughter loved using it as well. It smells nice and feels divine when it's gliding on. You get a lot of bang for your buck.. I have been using it everyday since I got it and have barely made a dent in it. It doesn't sting when added to cuts. So it can be used on kids as well. It doesn't leave an oily residues on your fingers either.

Tips: Do not use on pimples as it doesn't seem to work or.mow a difference.

Versatile natural balm

This is a lovely natural balm. It works well as a lip balm, as a hand cream, and for moisturising dry skin. I used it on dry cuticles, and liked it as a foot cream. It's quite hard and waxy in the jar, but softened quickly with a bit of body heat.

It worked well on healing grazes (I didn't apply it on broken skin) to keep them soft and seemed to help them heal without the skin cracking.

Tips: Try applying a heavy layer as a foot cream and wear socks overnight.

Little bit of Kiwi Balm Bliss!

I love a Balm, something for everything, so handy. This one from Wild Ferns really is a step up, packaging is pleasant, nothing remarkable about the product. Its quite a thick product and I use a spatula to get product out (bit of a thing for me is dipping into pots, so have plastic spatulas always handy).

No noticeable fragrance and the packaging is a bit boring, has a screw cap in a plastic pottle, nice but just boring.

I've been using on lumps, scratches, bites & blemishes for the past 4 weeks.......AMAZING! Don't expect magic straightaway, the first application saw slight improvement, reducing anything angry but after second application the next day...sorted! What I'm saying is you need to give it at least 2 applications and 24 hrs for the real magic to work. Really remarkable.

I spotted a few blemishes starting and balm stopped them right in their tracks.

Used on chapped lips and a dream, I also have been applying to my lips every morning to keep hydrated. Especially like to use on lips as I had no drying or got that "shrinking" feeling. Used on nail and cuticle that got injured too, no sting & ideal for any bits and bobs that needs a helping hand in repairing &/or relief.

It must be the 80+ Manuka Pollen. I would happily recommend using all over for any age....ingredients along with the pollen are Clove oil, Calendula, Chamomile, Papaya, Mango and Shea Butters with Grape Seed and Rose-hip...wow, what a impressive ingredient list. The product does not seem overdone, I would kinda think that it would be busy and full on with all those ingredients but its very unoffensive.

For $26 a pretty good buy (also available direct on Wild Ferns website, check out the price there too), the product goes a long way and absorbs really nicely. When warmed up with fingertips dissolves into a soothing oil like cream.

My pottle is stored in a cool dark cupboard and during the super hot and humid summer in Auckland has not melted. Only a very little amount is needed, quite thick but dissolves and absorbs in easy.

Part of me feels that a lush fragrance would be nice but then thats not what this product is designed for, it does its job perfect....I just really like lush smelling products.

I would recommend as a gift, especially for sending overseas....Wild Ferns have a amazing array of products that showcase our natural country. For sure will send a balm to my family in Holland this year and of course for any household.

Recommended to friends and family without a doubt.

Tips: Apply any leftovers on lips, perfect as a lip balm to keep hydrated (or cuticles to keep nails healthy).

Miracle balm for skin conditions

Wow this is not an everything balm, it's a magic balm!! I should start by advising that I suffer from mild psoriasis and recently this has been playing up a lot on my inner wrists leaving me with sore, red & awful looking skin. My daughter (2yrs) suffers from non-specific dermatitis behind her knees, in her elbows and in random little patches all over her body, with minimal success with other creams. So when the chance to trial this product came up I was excited but dubious about the outcome. Well this is certainly surpassed my expectations. My psoriasis on one wrists is gone (I have uploaded pictures) & hugely improved on the other one. AS for my daughter her skin condition by nature comes and goes, but as soon as we apply this within a day the red dryness is mostly gone & as long as we keep applying it she is happy. During our summer holiday I also brought it along for things like insect bites which my son usually reacts to in massive swelling - this was far less now because of the balm.

I love that it's so versatile because no only is it good for skin conditions it makes a pleasant lip balm, and I found myself rubbing it into my nail beds often. The Packaging is cute in a pale yellow that represents nicely the Manuka Honey that this product is based around. I really like that while it goes on a little bit greasy it is quickly absorbed and doesn't like oil marks on clothes.

I would absolutely buy this again, I'm almost afraid to be without it now.

Tips: The balm is pretty firm when you first buy it & while it kills me sometimes to dig things with my nails, the results were better when I was able to warm up and scoop out a bigger portion.

Everything Balm

What an awesome product this is! It is one of those magical all purpose balms that should be a staple in any household.

First off packaging - it comes in a lovely yellow pot with a screw top lid, easy to spot in the drawer or on the shelf and the lid screws on tightly so you can pop it in your handbag and not worry that there will be any mess.

The consistency of this product is very firm, you really have to work your finger around and warm the product up to pick up a decent ammount at one time.

The product applies beautifully, its smooth, glides on easily and does leave you with a horrible sticky feeling. It has a really mild almost sweet fragrance, not enough to be notice when you have it on

One of the main uses we have found for this is to apply to insect bites (which are always rife over these warm month) I have been using on both myself and the kids, it genuinely provides relief and takes the itchiness away, also helps the bite to heal so much faster. It even stops the kids from scratching.

It also works well as a lip balm and to moisturizes any really dry skin areas, I tend to get super dry skin on my hands if I m not careful and this really helps put moisture back.

Definitely loving this balm and will continue to use it "Here, There and Everywhere"

Amazing on cracked, dry and irritated skin

I have been testing Wild Ferns’ balm for 1 month at the time of this review (Jan 2018).

The consistency of the balm is very compact. I either scrape it with my nails or have to push my fingertip into the balm to collect some of it. This is the only negative aspect of this product. Once the balm has warmed up on my fingertip, it is easy to apply and a little will go a long way. I was expecting the balm to smell of Manuka honey; it smells like paraffin.

I have used as follows: - I have applied it every night on my dry lips and I have awaken with smooth lips. - I have massaged it on cracked dry feet before bedtime and the result in the morning is a nice smooth skin. - My husband has rubbed it on an hematoma which has helped in reducing the bruise and has covered a long skin abrasion where there too, the balm seems to have helped with the speed of the recovery. - My daughter has used it on a sunburn to soothe the discomfort.

It is not a product I would use every day on my feet and body as the nourishing effect will last a few days. However I will definitely use it on bruises and skin irritation when needed.

At $26.60 for 50g, I find this product is worth the money. It is 100% natural, made in New Zealand, paraben free, and not tested on animals.

The packaging of the Wild Ferns Manuka Honey balm is a nice honey yellow colour which can be recycled and is even printed with biodegradable inks. There is no wasted space in the box. The jar is easy to open and close.

I will recommend the balm to my family and friends and will send some as gift oversea to my family. It has shown good results every time I used it. The only inconvenience is to take some out of jar.

Tips: Warm it on your fingertips before applying.
