Oasis Beauty Gentle Light, Cream Cleanser

I received a good handful of sample tubes when I was stocking up my favorite Oasis Apple a Day. Oasis Beauty now puts little sample tubes in the box so you have a little freebie to try out. The fullsized cleanser comes in a big 150 ml tube. While the name suggests it's a really watery cleanser it's actually just not as thick as some cream cleansers. It cleans my skin really well without stripping my skin of moisture but is very gentle. Gentle enough that I can use this to do the first makeup removing cleanse and take this around my eye area. That being said I wouldn't put this on my eyes but it can go over my closed eyes and loosen up my makeup. I say loosen up because I don't think this removes all my makeup, especially if I don't remove my makeup prior to cleansing. I usually use a wipe or micellar water or an oil cleanser to remove my makeup first before I do my first cleanse to ensure I remove every trace of makeup. The scent of this cleanser is fresh with lavender notes, interestingly I'm not into lavender but I like how this smells because it has that fresh smell to it. It also rinses off well with water and my skin feels refreshed but not stripped. The only con is that there are natural cream cleansers, that are slightly more affordable for the amount you get and they do a great job of cleansing your skin without stripping it. But I'll be on the lookout for a sale.

Tips: After I massage this in I like to leave it on my face for about a minute or two so the antibacterial properties can work for a bit before getting rinsed off, another reason why I like remove my makeup before using this cleanser.

Creamy cleanser

I really like this cleanser, its quite creamy and makes skin so soft. It removes my make up well if I use it with a 'Konjac Cleansing sponge' which I bought from Julep. I feel like the cleansing sponge aids the cleanser in removing make up. However, due to always using this sponge with the cleanser, I feel like I am stripping my skin too much and that this is also causing me to break out. However, I find that if I use the cleanser by itself, it doesn't clean everything off of my face.

It is gentle on my skin and has a pleasant scent. The packaging is minimal and uses a pump. I have had no problems with the pump so far.

I think that this cleanser is great but I wouldn't use it everyday due to how I prefer to use it

Lavender before bed!

The bottle is large! Heaps of product which is great.

Of course the packaging looks lovely with the rest of the range. Clean, simple and noticeable.

Pump action to get the cleanser out is fantastic! I have a tendency to slap on the product and waste a lot. A few pumps is all you need. This cleanser is thinner than the other Oasis one. It's almost like a moisturiser. Creamy and lovely. The fragrance is amazing! It's lavender, fresh and relaxing. Just what you need before bed.

To use I massage a few pumps of product into my face. Get a dry washcloth and wipe off the majority. Then wash it under warm water and out on my face for a few seconds and wash the remainder off. I normally repeat this process to make sure the makeup is totally removed.

Even when I use for a few days in a row, it doesn't react with my sensitive skin. Skin is left feeling soft and clean.

Tips: Don't forget to apply under you chin and down your neck. Finish with the Oasis hot toddy and beauty sleep. Your skin will feel AMAZBALLS

I Love Oasis Beauty, But This Wasn't My Favourite

I have extreme combination skin, super bad dry patches and super oily t-zone. I'm also pretty acne prone so I thought this could be really good for me. I got a little bottle of this in my Oasis Beauty Goodie Bag and I just... didn't love it. I think for the price the cleanser has to change my life (like their Straight Up Spot Serum and their Lips and Lashes have done) but it was just... fine. I hated the smell first off. Myehhh. I don't know how to explain it but it wasn't nice, especially compared to their other cleanser which smells like shea butter (mmm). I think the sample lasted me about 8 - 10 washes, so I feel like it was enough to help me to get a feel for what it was doing for my skin.

The claims that it won't strip or leave the skin tight/looking red are 100% true. I have uber sensitive skin which is why this whole brand is perfect for me and this cleanser, in that respect, absolutely didn't leave my skin feeling bad. However I feel like it didn't do much for my acne. It was just kind of... meh. $32 for a full size? Honestly I'd rather stick to my Cetaphil.

That smell though!!

I decided to by myself the Oasis Goodiebag, which has all their samples inside. I didn't even know Oasis made a cleanser! But this is one is lovely. It's white and creamy, and quite thick too, for a cleanser. The smell has hints of berries, which is so scrummy to smell when you slather it on your face.

I applied a small amount to my face (I'm not a friend of cleansers at all) but it worked alright and seemed to take all my makeup off nicely. It stung a little around my eyes the first time, but that has since stopped. I did think that it dried out my face a bit too much, however. My skin is combination, on the side of oily so I'm a bit saddened that it did dry my skin out like it did, but my face wasn't left squeaky.

It cleared up my skin, and I was left with a healthy looking face. My skin type is oily and although it did dry my skin out too much, I found that once I had put on moisturizer that it sorted itself out, and was really quite a lovely cleanser. I wouldn't repurchase, however, due to the price tag it carries and for the simple fact I don't use a cleanser often enough.

Oasis Milk Cleanser

I tried some samples of Oasis products and was so impressed that I bought the oily/combination range to use. When I first started using this cleanser I was really impressed with how soft my skin felt. I am really prone to breakouts and for the first 3 weeks my skin really cleared up. But then I had a massive breakout, including across my forehead which I haven't had trouble with in a long time. I would use my Oasis cleanser and then end up using a lot of toner on a cotton pad to get rid of the rest of the make up that hadn't come off. I tried using another cleanser after the Oasis one and there was still a lot of make up that wasn't budging. I still really like how the Oasis makes my skin feel soft, so I now cleanse with another product and then use the Oasis range. My breakouts have settled down to their normal annoyance, rather than large clusters.

All up I probably wont purchase this again, as I don't feel that it works that well as a cleanser on its own. But I will finish what I have. I really love the rest of the range though :D

Tips: Oasis are so generous with samples, test first.

A nice alternative but not for daily routine

First of all, a big shout out to Oasis Beauty for their more than generous sample. If I hadn't known any better, I would have thought they'd sent a freebie my way.

I wanted to try the Milk cleanser because I had heard how good milk cleansers are for sensitive skin. And this did not disappoint. It was a soft milky texture that doesn't foam or apply thick. It's very lightweight and moisturising. It left me with no redness and didn't trigger my rosacea.

It smells a bit like medicine and hazelnuts which is a little bit hard to breathe in when it's all over your face, but nothing too horrible, especially if you wash if off quick.

I loved that it washes off very easily, a splash of water and it's all gone. No need to spend 5 minutes over the basin trying to get every slick bit of product off.

However the actual effect. Because it is very light weight, and doesn't foam up or bubble or anything, t felt like I hadn't washed my face at all. It left my skin feeling a little soft yes, but not clean at all. I felt like I needed to head off to the bathroom and give my face another wash with a different facial wash. It did nothing for my breakouts, didn't really remove my makeup either.

It's nice to use every now and then, but I definitely wouldn't be using this instead of my daily regime. Maybe team it up with your facial wash for a nice soft skin feel.

Oasis Beauty Milk Cleanser

I received a sample of this Milk Cleanser by Oasis Beauty. Overall I am in love with their products but this one was a complete down fall for me.

I feel like this cleanser didn’t do anything for me at all and It was too watery. When I used it on my face I felt like nothing was cleaning my skin and it had no affect on my skin at all for some reason, maybe it just doesn’t work with my skin type.

Overall I wont be purchasing this cleanser, such a shame as I really love the rest of their products. I feel that this milk cleanser could benefit someone with different skin to mine.

Tips: Try out a sample first to see if this works for you.
