Goodbye moisturiser!

Ive loved the Essano rose hip face oil since it came out so I thought id try the body oil, and Im so impressed! Theres something about the oil that feels so much nicer on the skin. It is fast absorbing and you don't need to wait for it to dry before you put clothes on. My skin feels so soft and I can't wait to see if the long term results are as impressive as the short term! With 95.55% natural ingredients its guilt free to put on your skin and smells delicious!

Tips: Spray onto your palms and rub together to warm up before rubbing into your skin

Very nice

I love this range so excited to try this oil, nice typical Essano packaging a nice squirt bottle filled will a lovley nearly clear coloured oil. It smells like wheat germ and roses not unpleasant and the fragrance doesn't last oh I had high hopes it would smell heavenly. This I find is not a greasy or grainy oil so I'm not left with a shine. I was hoping for more when I first used this, I gave the bottle a couple off shakes and squirted into my hands and began to rub it in, but one quick wipe and it was gone sucked in like a rain drop in the desert. Not a happy girl so many squirts latter and body done, but on saying that my skin just loves it, I'm using it mainly on my arms from the elbow down as my skin there has seen some years and quite possibly after using this the creepiness off my skin is looking a little bit better. I find it does go a bit further when my skin is slightly damp as the directions say but only a little bit more. And followed with a moisteriser its great the moisturiser seams to slide on. I will keep using this and fingers and toes crossed my skin will look awesome I do like this and it is a good price.

Tips: Use on damp skin

Not to sure if being on damp skin slows down the absorbing fast factor, but it goes a wee bit further x

It certainly absorbs fast doesn't it? do you think using it on damp skin slows it down a bit Fi?

Good absorbtion, great smell, lushious product

I am 6 months pregnant and feel like I am the size of a small house. I used this product religiously after every shower since I started to show. It was a lifesaver in the early months I still have no tummy stretch marks. I still use it now that I am almost into my third Tri, but I pair, or alternate it with Palmers coco butter for stretch marks for extra confidence.

I was lucky enough to avoid stretch marks on my tummy but sadly not my bust as I didn't really think to apply to that area until the little lines appeared. So I guess this product really works and is effective. If only I could turn back time and emerse myself head to toe.

I've also used this product in my hair when I needed a quick oil treatment - it works well for that too.

When my face is a little patchy in condition I will use the smallest amount of this oil with my moisturiser and my skin loves it.

:)

Great Body Oil

I got this instead of the straight Rosehip Oil for a change because I had done some reading and found out that this was better for the purpose I was using Rosehip Oil on my skin for. I have lost lots of weight and have some areas of skin that certainly need a good firm up and the mix of oils in this product is supposedly perfect for it. I use this almost everyday on my inner arms and thighs, boobs and the bottom of my tummy. I also layer the Essano body lotion on top for a double hit of goodness. I have certainly noticed a difference in the skin on my tummy and have been using this on there for about six weeks now. Although how much of that can be attributed to this oil and how much to the running I do I'll never know. This oil doesn't have a bad smell to it like some oils have and soaks into my skin quite well. It comes in a handy pump bottle which makes sure you get the right amount of product each time and don't waste any of this precious stuff. This is a very cost effective way of buying a body oil and with almost daily use I am maybe halfway through the bottle which is amazing going. My only grumble with this product is it seems a bit cheap looking coming in a plastic bottle as I'm used to oils coming in glass ones. It does mean however I don't have to worry about dropping it so I guess there is a silver lining there as well.

Works Wonder

This Body Oil comes in a plastic bottle. I bought this product mainly for my legs as I have sensitive/dry flaky legs and I wanted a good hydrating Body Oil. I love Rosehip Oil and was so excited to try this product.

This Body Oil formulated with certified organic Rosehip Oil, Pomegranate Antioxidant Oil and Jojoba Oil. It is a certified organic and NZ made product.

I love the smell of this oil, it is so subtle and natural. The oil has a clear yellowish colour. The Oil feels really nice and lightweight on my skin.

I use it every night on my arms and legs. I was surprised at how fast the oil absorbs into my skin. It absorbs straight away into my skin and feels very hydrating but definitely not greasy. The Oil instantly hydrates the skin on my legs and arms. It feels and smells amazing on my skin at night. It is basically my treat for the day.

The Oil does not leave oily marks on my clothes which is amazing. I find the Oil very nourishing, it keeps my dry skin being hydrated, does not look dry and flaky. The skin on my arms and legs started to look healthier and incredibly smooth. I only need a few drops for each leg and arm. This 100ml bottle would definitely last me a good few months. This Body Oil never irritated my skin even though I have sensitive skin. I love that this Oil is so natural and cruelty free.

The price of this product is so affordable price. The product delivers incredible results, this Body Oil is reasonably priced worth every penny.

Overall, I really enjoy using this Body oil and I absolutely love it. I would definitely repurchase and recommend it to everyone.

Did not meet expectations

I was excited to try this oil as I have heard a lot of positive feedback about Essano products. However, I found it hard to apply and greasy. It recommends using a few sprays onto hands before applying over the skin, but I found I had to use a lot of product to be able to cover my skin easily. It claims to improve skin tone and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, but this is hard to judge unless I was using the product long-term. Would I buy this product? No, it is $25/bottle and for the amount I had to use to have a decent application, it wouldn't last long at all.

Essano Rosehip Body Oil..Would Be Better in a Pump

I like to use body oils and butters in the evening so I was happy to get another bottle of this even though I had an unopened one in my stuff that I hadn't tried yet, as overall I do like the brand. I do like that this has all natural ingredients and almost 98% from organic farming. Scent-wise it has the woody rose scent that most of Essano line has, it's not overpowering or strong. Not my fave version of a rosey scent but I do find it pleasant. The bottle is darker which I like to preserve the natural oils. The oil doesn't feel heavy on my skin and while it does take some a bit of time to absorb most body oils do, I have been using this during the summer and it hasn't felt hot and heavy on my skin like my coconut oil based body oil. Unfortunately, this is where my appreciation for the product ends. It claims This body oil claims "to help minimise the appearance of scars, stretch marks, dry or cracked and ageing skin," but honestly I haven't seen a difference between this and other body oils. To me this performs like any of the other body oils I've tried. It moisturizes and gives my skin a subtle sheen like body oils do. The spray bottle is probably the thing I dislike the most. Most body oils have a flip top cap or a pump which makes it easy to pour the oil into your hand to apply or pump into your hand to apply. This spray requires that you grip the bottle and press the spray down, the problem is your hands are all greasy from applying the oil to your body after the first time you spray the bottle, so the bottle slips. Lastly I seem to be going through this body oil faster than some other body oils. I've only used this body oil for about a week and a third of the bottle is used up, which I don't know but my other bottles of body oil that are a similar size seem to last longer. There are a fair amount of body oils at around the $30-$40 price point just like this so I can't say this is really much cheaper considering I am using it up quickly. Maybe if the bottle changed to a pump I would consider repurchasing this but I don't plan to at this point.

Tips: I find the bottle more manageable if you spray the oil into your hands rather than try to spray it on to your body. Unless this is on sale, there are other body oils that come in a bigger bottles for about $10 more that I would recommend.

Thank you Essano

I've tried almost all of the availabe beauty products from the Essano brand, and I love a number of them. When I recieved this body oil in the NZ brands 2 BBBE, I couldn't wait to rip into it as it was one of the products that I had yet to try in the Essano range.

Well, I made pretty short work of this stuff, natural & nutrient rich anti-aging body oils are right up my alley.

The packaging across the Essano product range is very uniform and instantly recognizable, that deep brown classic beer bottle color of the bottles and jars, with a rose pink label: simple and classic.

This oil comes in a plastic spray bottle which dispenses in a swift steady stream. This oil is quite light, non greasy, and fast absorbing. It has a very mild, typically rose-hip scent of which I find quite comforting.

I use this oil generously, spreading a light coating over my entire body after an exfoiliating shower and it leaves my skin feeling extremely hydrated, nourished and super healthy feeling.

I will definitely be getting some more of this body oil. I love what it does for my skin, how it feels on my skin, it's affordable and readily available at my local countdown. SOLD.

Pomegranite and Rosehip Body love

This product comes in the same distinctive packaging as the other Essano products in the range. I was happy to receive it in the BBBE NZ Brands 2 box.

It comes in a brown plastic bottle with a plastic pump top that works well and is simple and easy to use, with no mess. The product is a relatively thin oil, that spreads easily and absorbs quickly. It leaves a lovely soft feel to the skin, probably because it contains Rosehip Oil, antioxidants and jojoba. It really does feel quite lovely. It is is non greasy, and due to absorbing so quickly, doesn’t leave any residue other than a light waxy feel on my skin. It has the same divine scent of most of the other Essano products.

The recommendation is to use it twice daily, applied by spraying on to the hands and massing to warm it, then rubbing anywhere on the body. I’ve been using it mainly on my hands and feet. It says it will hydrate and nourish skin, improve skins elasticity and firmness, and aid in natural repair and renewal of skin. That’s a steep expectation and I can’t say it does all those things. It certainly does soften and hydrate my skin, without question though. I love that this product, and the Essano range, do not contain nasties or test on animals – big tick for those things.

I’m not entirely sure I would use it again, because I always like to try new products, but it is very good, so maybe. At $28 it’s a good price for a good body oil.

Rub, rub, rub

Essano have created a body oil that is thin in consistency, which makes it easy to apply and you do not need a whole lot, a little goes a long way with body oils and this is the case with this product as well.

The packaging is nice, in a bottle, with a pink wrap around sticker, that tells me that Essano promises NO parabens, sulphates, silicones or animal testing, as well as being made in New Zealand it also an Ecocertified cosmetic, made up of 98.40% natural ingredients. These are all major positives for when I look to buy products that are for my skin, because it is our largest organ.

The scent is very nice, sweet, yet fresh and some floral notes. It is very pleasant and stays on your skin after rubbing it in.

It suggests you apply twice daily, onto damp skin. It is easily rubbed into damp skin, but sometimes I wish it was just as easy to rub it into dry skin. As we all have been in a position where we need a bit of moisturizing to our arms or legs before we go out, and I find that it sits on top of my skin and is a bit greasy if my body is not damp.

The price point is pretty good, but I would wait until my Countdown store has a special on Essano to stock up as it does every now and again.
