This is a lovely gel cleanser that slathers on to your face smoothly. It washes off leaving my skin feeling cleansed and refreshed. The scent is also very nice and the pump-out bottle is handy in the shower! The only thing is that is doesn't foam, so I'm not sure why it's called that

I really looked forward to buying the essay reshape range as many have raved about it and I thought it would be gentle and hydrating. But was very disappointed, this cleanser made my skin feel dry, tight and also caused me to breakout. My skin type is normal to dry. Would not repurchase
I have been using this for about a month now and I feel like I haven't used any - I love that you only need to pump out a small amount of product, mix with a bit of water and lather up. The product seems to be thicker than any other cleanser Ive used before but havent found this to be a problem.
This feels sooo soft on my skin, it spreads really easily and its really gentle. Because it is a bit thicker I feel it leaves a bit of a film on my face so it takes a tiny bit longer to rinse off.
My face feels really clean after rinsing, feels smooth and hydrated. I have dry skin so although it feels hydrated...about 10 minutes later I feel the need to moisturise.
Only small thing I dont particularly love about it (I certainly dont hate it) is the scent - I dont know it kind of reminds me of the raspberry medicine I had when I was 5 :p
Just bought a trial box of the Essano range from Countdown. I normally use the Sukin Exfoliating cleanser, so this product was new to me. I put about a 2-pea sized blob on my palm and rubbed my hands together while in the shower. I found it rather like wet vaseline in texture, I wouldn't call it 'foaming', perhaps more of a lather. After using an exfoliator I found the feeling on my face a little odd, it seemed oily. I've heard of cleansing the face with oil so I thought that was fair enough. On washing it off I found that my face felt dryer than usual, and a little tight. Now, if you interpret that feeling to mean that you've cleaned your face, then you'll like this product. It doesn't strip the oils out like the sort of cleansers we used at teens to kill spots, it's pretty gentle compared to those. However I won't be using it again, and will go back to my Sukin product. On the plus side it did smell nice.
This cleanser does a beautiful job. I use it every night, especially following make up removal if I wore any that day or just to ensure my skin is clean before heading to be. It has quite a silky texture and is very hydrating. It doesn't leave my skin feeling dry and flaky like some other cleansers but it still feels clean. The scent is very pleasant and the product is very affordable.
Got this product in a smaller bottle as part of an Essano beauty pack which included the Rosehip moisturiser aswell.
I never really had a problem with dry skin until I started wearing makeup everyday, and noticed that my cheeks and between my eyebrows got super dry to the point where I was using multiple moisturisers on my face after washing it just so my skin wouldn't flake off!
However, with this product, I've found that my skin has improved a lot in terms of both feeling cleaner + making your skin feel super light!
The consistency of the cleanser is like gel, best applied when your face is already wet - I normally pump my desired amount into my hand then apply it to my face and lather it in circles. This product lathers really well, and I really enjoyed the hint of floral scent that it gave my face.
Worked extremely well as a cleanser, although I found that in terms of moisturising, that using this product in conjunction with the moisturiser in this range moisturised gave better results! Overall, very happy with this product.
Absolutely love this product!, removed makeup really well too. My face feels clean and fresh, with the added bonus of it being so natural. Only thing I wouldn't agree with is 'foaming cleanser' for me I found it to be a thick gel like cleanser. But still loved it!
Unfortunately this product has not worked as I hoped, I received this as a gift for Mothers Day along with a few other products from this Essano Rosehip range.
Packaging is very attractive, large bottle with a pump (YAY!) you can choose your desired amount which is fantastic.
I use this in the shower after I have removed my make up, to wash and cleanse while my face is wet. The consistency of this is a thick gel, which feels nice to apply, working my fingers around my face in circular motions it foams up slightly.
Like the other Essano products it has the similar smell sweet yet floral like roses, however I found this particular product's scent to be rather strong, almost overpowering, and not a natural scent like I would have hoped for a natural based cleanser.
What I found unusual after using it, my skin felt like my skin oils were stripped from my face, leaving my skin feeling dry and tight. That uncomfortable feeling. Possibly that is due to trialling it in winter, I have popped it away for now and will bring it back out in summer and see if that makes a difference.
Tips: Grab a trial pack before you purchase full sized products
I have tried a lot of cleansers, and this one is one of the best that I have tried. I find that foaming cleansers are too dry for my dry skin (I'm sure they're great if your skin is oily) so I prefer cream cleansers. This cleanser is more like a cream cleanser as it moisturisers your skin while cleansing. It leaves my skin feeling soft and clean. It is also mild to use, and does not irritate my skin.
Tips: You don't need to use a lot. One pump is enough for your face. It only foams a little so you can massage it into your face like a cream before rinsing it off.
I have been using the Cetaphil Cleanser for about two years now and absolutely loved it. However, around a month ago I can across the Essano Gentle Foaming Cleanser and I haven't looked back! I love how it's an organic natural brand that is accessible in supermarkets and not a bad price. The smell of the product isn't the nicest as it's natural but it is bearable and you get used to it. There is a pump so you can chose the amount that you use and it comes out in a thick gel consistency (like aloe vera gel) then you lather it up on your hands and apply to your face. It feels very soothing and refreshing on the skin and a little bit goes a long way. It leaves my skin feeling very clean and soft. It is hydrating however I do recommend following up with a moisturizer to lock in and add extra moisture.
