Soft footsies

When I was living away from Lush I got a friend to get me comforter and she kindly sent me some samples. In it was this Softy foor lotion. First time I've tried a Foot lotion from Lush before. My feet are so dry especially in winter. I like to exfoliate my feet with Boosy scrub before I put this cream on.

This came in a cute little mini sized black pot. Upon opening this pot the consistency of this is just like a moisturiser but has a semi thick thickness to it. This scent reminds me of vanilla with shea butter very mild and subtle.

After using a pumice as well as a scholl pedi device I rinse off my feet and apply this lotion. My feet feel hydrated and smooth straight after application. I notice my feet hold hydration well and didn't experience my feet getting dried out after a couple of weeks use. I never really seek out foot products so it was nice to have something especially for my feet. I think its priced fairly for this product being vegan and non harmful. I believe Lush products are great for the whole family to use.

Lush Softy Foot Lotion

This is a beautiful lotion for hard working tired feet. This comes in a clear plastic bottle with a black lid.

It is full of ingredients like cupuacu and cocoa butter which makes this lovely to rub into sore, tired feet and it also has marshmallow root and almond oil to soften hard skin. This gorgeous lotion contains oil of lavender and sandalwood for an enticing aroma.

I love using this after my shower, my feet are ready to be smothered in this beautiful lotion. It leaves my feet smelling beautiful and feeling smooth and nourished. They are moisturised and look like they are truly loved.

You will get 250gms for around $20.00, a real treat as a little goes a long way.

Calamine lotion anyone!?

I received a generous sample of this in an order I did from the UK - I was stoked cos I didn't know what it was and I love giving my feet some lovin'. I take it that the product comes in a bottle similar to the shampoos or the shower gels, but my sample came in a small black lush tub. I opened it up and found a thick white goop. Thick enough to not swish around the tub but not thick like a body butter, thank gosh.

The smell is horrendous, it smells like calamine lotion, the stuff you use for itchy bites! It's going on the feet so it's alright, but it goes on the hands first and its gross! It's also quite thin when applied to the foot, but as you go it gets "thicker" and absorbs quite well. My feet were quite soft afterwards but nothing I can't get from other lotions. I don't think I would repurchase.

Lush Softy Natural, Affordable, Foot Lotion

As we head more into spring and summer I get more motivated to get my feet looking softer and ready for brightly polished toenails. One of the essentials to help me reach my goal is a nice foot moisturizer. I love natural products and so I thought to check what they have for feet. At around $30 for a 250ml bottle of foot lotion I thought it would be difficult to find a cheaper natural foot moisturizer. I had to try and see if it would keep my soles soft and summer sandal worthy. The lotion smells herbal with some lavender notes. I'm not a big fan of it but I don't think it smells bad and since it's on my feet I don't have to really worry about the smell. The ingredients are almost all natural. The natural ingredients are - marshmallow root decoction, water, almond oil, cocoa butter, glycerine, cupuacu butter, bargamot, lavender and sandalwood oil and lanolin. This lotion doesn't take too long to absorb and the next day my feet a softer. However, I have used other foot lotions that have absorbed pretty fast and left my heels softer, they weren't natural ingredients though. I do like this for being a natural foot lotion but if I were to rely soley on this I wouldn't have optimally smooth heels or soles. I do get better results if I use this, rub it in and then apply a richer, more emollient foot cream or balm on top. I may get this again so I can layer foot moisturizers at night but besides being natural that would be the only incentive to get this again.

Tips: This works best on exfoliated heels and feet. I personally wouldn't rely solely on this as a foot moisturizer to get your soles ready for sandal season, but it does work best if you want to apply this and then apply a thicker cream or balm on top overnight.
