La Roche Posay® Effaclar Foaming Gel & Duo Plus Reviews

I've been using these two products together in my nightly skin routine and love how clean and clear my skin gets! My face looked refreshed in the mornings and I loved how clean my skin felt.

The gel cleanser works really well on my oily skin, it gives a thorough clean without drying my skin out. It's a good size bottle with a narrow tube opening so it will last a long time! Very great value for money, and your skin will thank you for getting clean after a long day! It's also soap-free, paraben-free, alcohol-free and colourant-free but packs a mighty clean. I was really impressed (only downside is the gel smell is quite earthy but I'm not a fan of overly scented products, so I appreciate that it didn't have a fake scent added).

The corrective cream is light weight in touch and applies evenly on the skin. I really loved how the cream felt on my skin, it absorbs quickly but the application is just lovely. Almost like a mask, spa like feeling. It helped reduce redness in my splotchy skin from scarring and age.

Really impressed with the brand and the range of products available. The cleanser and corrective cream are a great combination to clean and clear skin!

I reviewed these products after BR sent them to me, which I was super stoked about.

I’ve had great results using these products with clear and healthy feeling skin, without any break outs. I also love that the products prevent acne scarring as well which is great to hear.

The things I didn’t love about the cleanser were the small hole that makes it quite hard to squeeze the product out of and I personally don’t find the gel formula as satisfying as creams, scrubs or oil cleansers. I really like the serum but would say that it did have a little bit of a tight sensation on my skin when using it.

I would definitely recommend these products to anyone that gets breakouts - especially while having a breakout to reduce redness and risk of scarring. I feel as though the products really work and have left my skin feeling great.

These two products work great together. The foaming gel clears oil from the face, leaving the skin nice and clean.

Using the Duo Plus then acts as a spot remover treatment and reduces the redness and size of pimples. This product especially is a must have!!

This regime of the Foaming Gel and the Duo Plus worked wonders. A perfect combination that felt like it was cleaning my oily skin and evening my skin after every use. The first step of the regime (the gel) cleansed, making my skin feeling tight and fresh. The second step (Duo Plus) acts as a moisturiser and seals the skin. I found that I have less acne. My skin felt tingly at first but it is worth it for the results - it is smoother and I feel over more use my pores and my imperfections will reduce.

My only negative is the claim of a non-drying formula in the Duo. I have combination skin, I did get dry patches on my face, particularly on and around my nose and cheeks, so I did find I needed to use a thicker moisturiser as well to hydrate parts of my skin. Enjoying this product paired with the Foaming Gel.

Both products look very clinical - they have that prescriptive skincare look. Personally I think its a little bland, but the fact my husband tried both of his own accord makes me think La Roche Posay might be on to something with the branding!

I've used both products in conjunction for two weeks.

The cleanser is nice, but was drying when I used it twice a day. Using it once a day seemed to bring things right. I do think its slightly overpriced based on what I pay for my regular cleanser that does just fine. But if you have sensitive skin and are interested in La Roche Posay you should check it out.

The Effaclar Duo Plus is earth-shatteringly good. The difference in my skin is phenomenal. The texture is more even. it feels smooth. Baby smooth. Even on my t-zone. It definitely counteracted the dryness I encountered with the cleanser. I'm blackhead free and my skin just looks good.

The price for the Effaclar Duo Plus is really good value - I'll certainly be repurchasing - and probably trying more from La Roche Posay!

I have been using the combination of the gel face wash and Duo Plus moisturizer for approx 2 weeks. I believe that they live up to their claims. They have caused no break outs and the moisturiser leaves my skin slightly matte which is great for someone with combination skin like me, it would also be great for more oily skin too. The face wash has quite a small hole that it come out of which is a good thing as it prevents you from using too much and therefore going through it quickly. The size of the products are reasonable, although I think that I will run out of moisturiser before I run out of the face wash. Overall I was impressed with the performance of the products together.

La Roche Posay® Effaclar Foaming Gel & Duo Plus is a fabulous two product system for those with oily and/or problematic skin.

After two weeks of using both products twice daily, I have found a noticeable reduction in the size of long-term, under the skin blemishes around my jawline and chin. I have also noticed my skin feels smoother and is clear and even in skin tone. I also feel my enlarged pores are more refined in appearance.

Overall, I am thrilled with La Roche Posay® Effaclar Foaming Gel & Duo Plus and will continue to use both products as a topical treatment when my skin is extra oily or breaking out.

The only reason I will not be using La Roche Posay® Effaclar Foaming Gel & Duo Plus daily is that my mature skin is more combination than all over oily and is better suited to a skin care system designed specifically for aging skin.

I can't recommend both products enough!

These products work as a 2 step programme to effectively control oily and blemish prone skin types. The same fresh clean and green like fragrance is in both. The gel cleanser has a lathering foam which cleans without stripping the moisture balance and the Effaclar Duo Moisturiser hydrates without being overly greasy, in fact its light and mattifying, absorbs quickly into skin and feels like a balm. I like that there is only two products whihc keeps the routine simple yet effective.

After two weeks of using these products my complexion is clear, moisturised and my skin tone is even in colour, redness has reduced. My poor size is less obvious and shine free.

The product size is generous and lasts well, I dont feel like Im using too much.

Both products are paraben free which is important to me when choosing skincare, thats a tick from me!

Overall great price point, generous sized products, smells fresh and clean. Delivers on keeping skin in check, blemish free and enough hydration without the shine.

I'm prone to the occasional breakout, usually around my hairline. My skin is combo.

I like the simple, salon packaging. I do wish there was more information on the packaging - especially for the Effaclar Duo Plus, as I think this could be a confusing product for some. I looked several times to find out what it was, before resorting to Google!

I've been using both products twice a day for over two weeks. The first week my skin purged, I had a couple more breakouts than usual, but they were short lived, and weren't 'angry', more just annoying.

The cleanser is perfect for my skin, so gentle and refreshing. I encountered no tight or dry feelings. So that's a win.

The Duo Plus is a really neat product, kind of like a cross between a primer and a moisturiser. It's not quite moisturising enough for me to use by itself, but teamed with a light lotion, I get the moisturising I need, PLUS the incredible benefits of the Duo Plus. I swear it is magic. My skin looks more even and clear and glows. I feel less oily around my t zone, and find my makeup lasts longer, requiring no touching up around my nose which is great.

I want to try more of the range now.

Two products that have now been added to my “forever” skin care routine! First things first my skin type - oily/combination, sensitive and acne prone (hormonal, white heads and blackheads in t-zone) plus I have uneven skin tone and rough texture on my cheeks. I’m winning at the skin life! I was so excited to be chosen for this trial team as I wouldn’t normally go out and buy this brand as it’s a little pricier that I would normally go for and it’s not a brand that I’m familiar with - although I have heard of it.

I’ve already reviewed the products on their own so feel free to pop over and have a read but together is where these two really shine! When I began the trial I had 4 active breakouts and my skin was looking dull and lacking the beloved glow that I aspire to have.

My current skincare routine is the Oxygen 2 in 1 Cleanser & Nivea Soft Cream, I love both of these products so I was intrigued to see whether or not these could fit into my routine. I can confidently say that the Oxygen Cleanser has gone out the window! (The window being a shelf in the bathroom for neglected products). The La Roche Posay Cleanser is absolutely beautiful, it’s a thick gel that foams to a rich and creamy lather and deep cleans the skin without leaving it tight or dry. It also left my skin soft and oh so smooth!

The moisturiser is simply wonderful, silky and smooth and you don’t need too much, it leaves my skin glowing and lightly hydrated although I still apply my Nivea Cream over top at night time for an added moisture boost. I truly believe these two products work perfectly together and I can’t thank Beauty Review enough for introducing me to this amazing brand! After using these products I now have NO active breakouts, my skin is hydrated, glowing, smooth and beautiful. Absolutely in love!
