Pleasantly surprised

When I first went to try it to be honest I was a bit sceptical. I put it on and it felt a bit like a gooey face masks that leaves you with that slightly tight feeling in your skin, after about 5min it had soaked in and didnt feel you leaving sticky or anything which is great! Application is easy with an eye dropper style, a little goes a long way. As far as results, having only been using it two weeks so far the visible difference has not been extreme but my skin does feel a bit tighter and maybe slightly less wrinkly. will continue to use it so will see what it's like after another few weeks

Tips: A little bit goes a long way :)

Loreal Revitalift Filler Serum

I love that it is reasonably affordable too compared to higher end brands. Firstly, this bottle will last for ages as you really only need 1-2 drops, a little goes a long way, so don’t go overboard. It dries really quickly too – within about 10-15sec my face was completely dry with no residue or sticky feel.

I felt the serum gave me a good boost of hydration to my skin, without making my skin feeling oily, or greasy. It sinks into the skin beautifully. It also left my skin feeling nice and smooth before putting on my moisturiser and foundation. It has not caused me to break out at all either which is good!

I do feel my skin as a result over the last couple of weeks is feeling firmer, tighter and looking fresher and more radiant, definitely more youthful. I have been applying it regularly for the last two weeks morning and night.

I have to admit though, and maybe this is only due to using it for a short time, I have failed to notice a decrease in fine lines under my eyes, not sure if I would use it as an anti-aging product, more just one for hydration and more glowing skin. Hence why I have given it only 4 stars.

FYI - The product is pretty much odorless too, good for those who don’t like smelly products!

Tips: Don’t forget to apply it to your neck too, and not just the face!

Revitalift Filler

Thank you BR for sending me this product to review - I love Serums but I couldn't recall the last time I used one with Hyaluronic Acid in it and honestly I didn't know what that even meant if it was an ingredient.

First off the bat I love the packaging and love the dispenser, very convenient in terms of use, I love how solid the bottle is. I did go travelling over the weekend but unfortunately even with the bottle screwed on tight, the serum leaked a tiny bit - I don't know how but it did so I'd recommend you take that into account when packing it in your luggage.

The next thing I noticed when using the product was the scent which I didn't like at first. After using it a few times I got used to it - and slowly came to like it though I don't love it. I don't dislike it enough to not use it.

The box says to use a few drops but I found I needed to empty 2/3rds of the glass dropper, a couple of drops didn't cover my whole face (I have dry skin though). It felt amazing on my skin, refreshing, hydrating and smooth. My skin felt smooth after using and the product absorbed into my skin rapidly as it states.

After 2 weeks of use I have definitely noticed my skin looking a lot more smoother, refreshing and more healthy. I am quite surprised. I did notice my wrinkles slightly less noticeable right next to the corners of my eyes, I haven't noticed much difference to just below the corner of my eyes but the box states that in 4 weeks there is a 31% reduction and 6 weeks 47% so I'll be checking for that!!

Tips: Pack in a zip log for travelling

L'Oréal Revitalift filler

This kind of product is usually not one I would buy due to budget restrictions and that I like to keep my beauty routine as simple as possible. However I was given the chance to try this so I wasn't going to turn it down! As I edge closer to 40 I am gaining more fine lines on my once wrinkle free face. I'm not particularly worried about the lines around my eyes or forehead, but I really notice the lines around my mouth especially when I wear makeup. I love the dispenser it came in. Very simple and elegant. Easy to apply to my face with the dropper. I found that I needed more than a few drops as it absorbed very quickly, and dried on my skin very quickly. I don't have the L'Oréal moisturiser to go with it so was just applying my regular one over top which felt nice and moisturised. I did notice after forgetting to apply the moisturiser as well for a few days my skin got very dry very quickly and even started flaking a little around my brows. This was rectified by remembering to apply moisturiser after. At first I didn't think I had noticed too much change to my fine lines, but having just looked in the mirror I have definitely noticed that the fine lines around and under my eyes have reduced and the skin feels more taut. The fine lines around my mouth have considerably reduced also although I have yet to wear makeup so can't comment on how it holds up under foundation. Overall I am actually a little surprised as I did not think this product would make much difference at all. After two weeks there is still most of the product left as it goes such a long way, so I will keep using it to see if it will continue to make a difference to my skin.

Tips: Don't skip applying moisturiser after applying this product. It really does need that extra moisture to help skin stay soft.

Excellent absorption!!

Being a L’Oréal product I wasn’t surprised by the beautiful bottle the serum is packaged in. A lightly scented serum but not overpowering serum that is gentle on the skin.

The serum is a beautiful lightly scented gel like product that absorbs so quickly into the skin.

My skin appears softer but I didn’t see the results with the wrinkles I was hoping for. But I will continue using it as I don’t think 2 weeks is long enough to see the results I was expecting to see.

Tips: Not so great for under day moisturiser as I find the day moisturiser sits on skin more with this product rather than absorbing.

Not a miracle product, but still great

I like this serum, but only after figuring out which way it’s best to use. Right after washing my face, while it’s still slightly damp, I apply a full dropper amount to my face and neck and it seems to work best this way. I always need a good moisturiser after to seal it in as well, I tried it without, but it wasn’t hydrating enough for my dry skin. Also, if I applied this on dry skin, it seemed to draw moisture out of my skin even more, rather than draw moisture into my skin, so I need to make sure to use it right after washing my face or use a nice face spray under or over it. I can see slight improvements in the plumpness of my skin after a few weeks of use, but nothing miraculous, wrinkles are still here and they don’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon. We have a different type of this serum, for some reason the NZ market has gotten a version with perfumes in it, while the US version is perfume free, as advertised as well. I’d be really interested to know why they make different versions as they sometimes do with products, I noticed this before. I wouldn’t buy this serum for full price as it didn’t give wow worthy results and it’s just not worth the hassle for me.

Tips: Always use on damp skin or use face spray, so the Hyaluronic acid would draw moisture into your skin and not out of it!

Dry or Mature skin only

Useful little dropper in the bottle to control your usage and make sure you aren’t going to use it up too quickly but only a couple of drops were more than enough to cover the entire face and neck area and spread very easily. It was light and silky absorbing very easily into the skin with next to no scent at all. Considering the amount you need to use this would last a while I noticed an almost immediate effect through the day after trying it on day one and my skin felt softer, however for some reason (and I’ve never had this reaction from a Hyaluronic acid product before) for some reason my face turned into an oil factory, my T-zone being the worst. I haven’t had a breakout reaction from something in a while and I’ve used Hyaluronic acid products before without any kind of reaction like this one so it was a bit of a surprise, but perhaps this may not be the best product for those with combination skin. So softening to the skin, its a Yes. Plumping it out, its a Yes, however causing a massive breakout for some reason, its a NO. I do not think I would use this one again, I have used other Hyaluronic masks with no reaction but for some reason the serum is just a bit much. It has occurred to me that if I were older and my skin dryer that this would probably balance itself out, in my case maybe working slightly too well. Maybe those of us with more mature or dryer skin would have more success with this product than I did. I’m only in my thirties, so for $40 this product is something I would probably try out again in about ten years, I can feel my skin starting to dry out as time goes on but I’m not quite at the right stage for this serum to be useful to me.

Tips: I’d recommend this product to women in their forties or those who have dry skin, definitively not any kind of combination skin or you might risk experiencing a second puberty

Smoothing

This is an interesting product. I have been impressed with products containing hyaluronic acid before so was keen to try this one.

It comes in a 30 ml glass dropper bottle. 30ml seems quite big for a product of this type. The product drops nicely and neatly from the dropper.

The product itself is clear and gel-like as it drops onto my skin. It absorbs quickly and easily. The scent is very pleasant. Once the product has absorbed, my skin feels soft and looks smooth. It makes a fabulous base for my moisturiser.

I've been using a few drops twice daily as per the directions, for a couple of weeks now. The blurb says immediately skin is deeply hydrated and feels more plump, supple and smooth, which I agree with. Then it says in one week skin regains its bounce and feels firmer and more toned. I haven't seen this yet but my skin does look a little smoother. It also says progressive wrinkle reduction will happen between 2 weeks and 6 weeks. I haven't noticed this in 2 weeks and will update when I finish the bottle.

I don't know how much this bottle of serum costs.

In summary, I like that it hydrates and smooths my skin, and makes for a nice base for my moisturiser, but I haven't seen the other benefits yet. I haven't been using it for long though and am interested in it's effects over a longer period. My experience with L'Oreal has been that this type of products generally do what they say they'll do so I'm looking forward to continuing to use it until the bottle runs out and see what happens by then.

4 weeks later So the bottle is done now. I've upped my score for this product. I feel that my skin not only looks toned after each use, but also looks better overall. I would say it does look smoothed and toned and I'm very impressed with the product. $50 is a fair price because it does a great job and has lasted very well. I do recommend trying it.

Tips: Apply morning and night to freshly washed skin before adding your moisturiser.

Not quite what the bottle said

Generous sized bottle with easy dripper applicator. The actual serum is reasonably thick and has a pleasant smell. Unusual feeling as it doesn’t absorb like normal moisturiser. It kind of drys and sets on your face. It has definitely made my skin soft and more hydrated thank my other moisturiser. It also doesn’t make your skin feel oily.

I have not noticed any dramatic change in fine lines and wrinkles etc.

For that price, I guess it’s ok but it hasn’t done what I was hoping it would.

Not for me!

Very nice bottle, and lovely texture that doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin, but didn’t improve my skin’s hydration, and I didn’t see any visible change in my wrinkles.
