This scrub is an excellent exfoliant - it has a nice thick consistency and the "bits" (walnut shell rather than plastic micro beads) are not too small so it gets in there and does a good job; but also not too big that it damages your skin. It doesn't dry out my skin but leaves my skin feeling clean.
It is a really good rival for my previous favourite exfoliating scrub (St Ives Apricot Scrub). It is also a bonus that Skinfood are a NZ company and make all their products in NZ. Their products are also free from parabens, artificial colours, SLS, etc.
I was lucky enough to receive this product in the BRBB in March.
The packaging for skinfood products always strikes me as clean and wholesome. White with green writing on, the products always look inviting to try! The flip top lid makes it easily accessible to get the product out of the bottle amid any good cleansing ritual! The consistency of the scrub is nice and thick and creamy, and allows for it to be easily applied to your face. The 'bits' in the scrub are bits of walnut, and are non abrasive (like some scrubs that really hurt!). The smell is divine , with a citrus sort of smell, leaving your face smelling very fresh and clean.
After exfoliating, your skin is left feeling really clean and smooth, without leaving lots of walnut residue, it washes off nicely.
The best thing ( apart from the goodness of the brand) ? The price tag is so cheap in comparison to this high end feel product. What an absolute steal... will be a go to product for me from now on!
