Was glad I was chosen for this trial team as I have used L'oreal in the past and really like their products which usually work well. Unfortunately this time, wasn't that impressed with this product :(
The packaging is a bit newer for L'oreal, in a mainly white box with the usual gold colour Logo, inside is a glass (great!) jar with red lid - the jar is a square shape which I liked also. Both the cardboard box and glass jar and lid are recyclable too which is fantastic! Gives you instructions under the box flap for recycling as well.
The outside of the box states that it is new with Lifting Probiotic Extracts from Natural Origin which is great. It's free from Fragrance, Alcohol, Colourant and Mineral Oil, it's allergy tested and suitable for sensitive skin (like mine), so that's great.
I applied it daily at night as instructed using circular motions after cleansing my skin. It may have helped with hydration a bit, but to be honest after using it for just under 2 weeks my skin doesn't really feel more lifted and I really can't see that the wrinkles and fine lines have reduced? Maybe it's just me but I can usually tell when I use a product if it has made a difference or not and I really don't think this product did that sadly.
I will continue to use this product daily until gone, it is a nice fragrance free moisturizer and great for my sensitive skin but I wouldn't purchase this again regardless if if was cheap enough to buy.
I gave this Loreal Revitalift fragrance free moisturizer a good work out by using it morning and night. It is good for my sensitive skin, and I also tested it on my eye area to make sure. So there were no skin reactions and no eye watering thanks to no fragrance, colorant or alcohol in the product. I tested it during a bitterly cold period of winter and it stood up well to the icy wind environment and and the indoor heating. (I was outside on some of those days and also used a good quality facial sunscreen). It helped hydrate, plump and even out the texture (dry spots, fine lines etc) of my dry winter skin in the ten day trial period. I used it on my neck also with good results. The trial is only ten days so it will be interesting to see results after 14 and 28 days. I like natural probiotic and retinol products and feel that this formula worked well on my face. It helps maintain the skins natural environment so there were no breakouts etc. I don't wear makeup everyday so I rely on my moisturizer to look good. One of the tests I also give moisturizers is to put full face make up on, to check if it stops the makeup from sinking in, looking dry and accentuating fine lines. Or to see if the makeup slides off due to greasiness. It's a good test, and it works by the products good hydration property and not completely soaking into the skin. It's not a greasy product though which is one of my pets dislikes so my skin wasn't greasy looking and makeup stayed in place. I use eye creams the same way by moisturizing before I apply makeup to stop makeup from accentuating fine lines. The moisturizer is a nice creamy consistency and you don't need to use a large amount to get good coverage on the face and neck, which makes it economical. It's $27 at The Warehouse NZ. The jar is made of simple white glass with a red plastic lid and is made from 30% recycled glass, so with the cardboard packaging it's also 100% recyclable. I endorse this product as good for sensitive skin, hydrating and helping plump fine lines.
Tips: It's important to use sunscreen for outdoors or being by windows and in the car. Try using a small amount of this product first, as it goes a long way.
