Great for sensitive skin, hydration and plumping

I gave this Loreal Revitalift fragrance free moisturizer a good work out by using it morning and night. It is good for my sensitive skin, and I also tested it on my eye area to make sure. So there were no skin reactions and no eye watering thanks to no fragrance, colorant or alcohol in the product. I tested it during a bitterly cold period of winter and it stood up well to the icy wind environment and and the indoor heating. (I was outside on some of those days and also used a good quality facial sunscreen). It helped hydrate, plump and even out the texture (dry spots, fine lines etc) of my dry winter skin in the ten day trial period. I used it on my neck also with good results. The trial is only ten days so it will be interesting to see results after 14 and 28 days. I like natural probiotic and retinol products and feel that this formula worked well on my face. It helps maintain the skins natural environment so there were no breakouts etc. I don't wear makeup everyday so I rely on my moisturizer to look good. One of the tests I also give moisturizers is to put full face make up on, to check if it stops the makeup from sinking in, looking dry and accentuating fine lines. Or to see if the makeup slides off due to greasiness. It's a good test, and it works by the products good hydration property and not completely soaking into the skin. It's not a greasy product though which is one of my pets dislikes so my skin wasn't greasy looking and makeup stayed in place. I use eye creams the same way by moisturizing before I apply makeup to stop makeup from accentuating fine lines. The moisturizer is a nice creamy consistency and you don't need to use a large amount to get good coverage on the face and neck, which makes it economical. It's $27 at The Warehouse NZ. The jar is made of simple white glass with a red plastic lid and is made from 30% recycled glass, so with the cardboard packaging it's also 100% recyclable. I endorse this product as good for sensitive skin, hydrating and helping plump fine lines.

Tips: It's important to use sunscreen for outdoors or being by windows and in the car. Try using a small amount of this product first, as it goes a long way.

Bit disappointed with this product

Was glad I was chosen for this trial team as I have used L'oreal in the past and really like their products which usually work well. Unfortunately this time, wasn't that impressed with this product :(

The packaging is a bit newer for L'oreal, in a mainly white box with the usual gold colour Logo, inside is a glass (great!) jar with red lid - the jar is a square shape which I liked also. Both the cardboard box and glass jar and lid are recyclable too which is fantastic! Gives you instructions under the box flap for recycling as well.

The outside of the box states that it is new with Lifting Probiotic Extracts from Natural Origin which is great. It's free from Fragrance, Alcohol, Colourant and Mineral Oil, it's allergy tested and suitable for sensitive skin (like mine), so that's great.

I applied it daily at night as instructed using circular motions after cleansing my skin. It may have helped with hydration a bit, but to be honest after using it for just under 2 weeks my skin doesn't really feel more lifted and I really can't see that the wrinkles and fine lines have reduced? Maybe it's just me but I can usually tell when I use a product if it has made a difference or not and I really don't think this product did that sadly.

I will continue to use this product daily until gone, it is a nice fragrance free moisturizer and great for my sensitive skin but I wouldn't purchase this again regardless if if was cheap enough to buy.

L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Fragrance-Free Hydrating

True to the L'Oreal branding, this moisturiser comes in a glass jar which looks and feels high quality.

The product itself is a glossy white colour and on the thicker side. It’s thick enough to keep my middle aged skin soft and moisturised all day, and yet lightweight enough to absorb in seconds without leaving a greasy residue behind.

The cream delivered on the moisture and felt like it helped to plump up fine lines. My skin's texture felt softer to the touch and looked smoother.

The product was fragrance free (of sorts, there is always a slight smell, but has no fragrance added) which was great. I don't enjoy many added fragrances in face creams and so this was a welcome omission.

But it is also without sunscreen so it is important to remember to add that into your skin care regime in the morning. It's a shame this was absent as it felt like I then had to add yet another product into my morning routine.

The product claims to lift skin - I'm not convinced the product has any magical ingredient that can do that, I certainly didn't see any evidence of this but it definitely helped plump out my skin with it's moisture content.

Tips: Remember to add a sunscreen during the day, and rub any excess product during aplication to the back of your hands, they will thank you for it :)

Quite a thick day cream

Sadly I have to report that I didn't love this one. I've loved the L'Oreal Revitalift serums but I found this cream quite thick and greasy for a day cream. It comes in a glass jar, which I love - way better for the environment than plastic. It's very sleek as are all L'Oreal products. The cream is fragrance free and I do like that about it - it really doesn't have a strong smell which is great. However, I did find that the cream was very thick. For me, it was too thick for a day cream and it felt that it clogged my pores a bit. So I actually switched to using it at night. I won't be buying this one again, but I still love, and use, the L'Oreal serums so it's not all bad!

Tips: If you find it's too thick for the day, use it as a night cream

Fragrance-free Hydration!

L'Oréal Revitalift light, easy-to-apply, rapidly absorbing Hydrating Cream is pleasantly free of irritating fragrances.

The eco-friendly, easy open jar is an improvement, though the lack of an applicator was a bit of a disappointment, though better for the environment.

The product description sounds very promising with 'Biotechnology' power, and the fact that contains pro-retinols and 'lifting' probiotics add to the appeal.

On initial application, the cream felt strange, possibly because I have used natural, organic skin care products for a long time. I finally figured out what the strange feel was: synthetic!

While this product has a lot of good stuff, the long list of unpronounceable ingredients makes me wonder. (I have yet to look them all up to get an idea of what they are!)

At the end of this short trial, my skin does look and feel hydrated and friends tell me it looks so much better. (I have changed the cleanser I use during this time, so that will have also made a difference.) I will continue to use the product to monitor any further improvements over the next several weeks.

I found my skin could better tolerate this cream in the mornings, as night-time use resulted in very puffy morning eyes.

At this price point, there's a good variety of options so, at this stage, I doubt I will purchase it again.

I'll recommend it to any friends who use L'Oréal or similar brands.

Tips: Best used as a day cream. Don't forget to apply to your beautiful neck and décolletage. As I write this, I'm reminded of what a beautiful and elegant older lady once told me: "Always remember, your neck is the stem that holds up and supports your beautiful face, as a stem holds up a beautiful rose. Gently and thoroughly moisturize it from front to back every day."

Revitalift Fragrance Free Hydrating Cream

I love this cream! Filled with skin loving goodies such as Pro-retinol and pro biotic extracts that help provide some 'lift', this fragrance free, creamy coloured cream does just that. Provides my sensitive skin with moisture, smoothness and a wee lift. This pot of cream does not contain sunscreen, and I feel like that is ok. I feel that it is better to apply sunscreen separately, as not only will it be more effective (not so dilute), but also makes ypu more aware of the need to add a spf. Thank you to BR for the opportunity to trial this gem. I feel like I would repurchase this often.

Tips: Don't forget to add sunscreen on top.

A great hydrating cream

The cream feels quite think when you get it out of the jar but once on, it doesn't feel heavy at all. It kept my skin well hydrated throughout the day - my skin is normally very dry and sensitive. It left my skin feeling soft and smooth. I'd buy it again

Tips: A little goes a long way

L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Fragrance-Free Hydrating

I was so hyped up for this cutie. I thought it could be everything I’ve dreamed of in a face cream .

I was super excited to try a hydrating, anti wrinkle face cream with NO fragrance. Fragrances can set off migraines for me .

Love the jar , it’s really cute, easy to screw off and scoop out your desired amount of cream. I love that it’s easy to unscrew . Those of us with carpal tunnel know the struggles of opening jars and packets.

The cream is white and unscented so it lives up to it’s no fragrance so that’s amazing! To me it was thin for a face cream , thinner that what I’ve used in the last in regards to L’Oréal Face creams. The cream was easily absorbed but a little sticky, which I found unusual .

Unfortunately using twice a day I didn’t notice any lifting, firming, hydrating, wrinkle reduction. It honestly felt like putting a cheap body lotion on. I have mature sensitive, oily , dehydrated skin.

However I loved using this on my hands and arms as those are the parts of my body I have neglected , do they enjoyed getting some moisture.

I will continue to use the jar up to see if there is improvement as the trial may not have been enough?

Tips: Always moisturise your hands and arms!

Really lovely

My main reason for not giving this a full-star rating is the packaging. I love the fact that the jar is glass and recyclable (as well as 30% recycled), and it's a good firm seal and an easy lid to work with. However, I would prefer a pump bottle or squeeze tube for hygiene and protecting the product from oxidisation, etc., as well as for ease of application and 'dosage' control.

As for the product though... top marks. The consistency is lovely; a moist cream that's robust but not heavy or oily, and it absorbs beautifully into the skin, leaving it looking and feeling fresh and hydrated but not slick or shiny. I tried it on its own as well as on top of my normal serum, and it was perfect either way. And I LOVE how it smells. It's fragrance-free, of course, but its natural scent is something like sweetened whipped cream, which is just delicious. This doesn't linger much on the skin; it's just nice while you're applying it.

The formula itself seems great to me too. It's certainly hydrating and does actually seem to have improved the look of my dry, ageing skin. It just looks and feels overall a bit smoother, a bit firmer. I'm looking forward to continuing using it after the two-week trial, to see if it improves things further. And for my sensitive skin it's fantastic. I had no reactions at all, not even a bit of stinging on application. It felt soothing and nourishing the moment I applied it.

I'd say this jar would last me a few months if I used it just once a day, so for such a multi-tasking cream, I think this is great value.

It's hard finding hydrating, anti-ageing solutions for sensitive skins, so for me this is a winner. If you have dry, sensitive and ageing skin, I'd absolutely recommend trying it.

Tips: Use a clean cotton bud rather than your fingers to get the cream from the jar if you're concerned about hygiene and preserving the potency of the active ingredients, and get that lid back on quickly!

Good for Sensitive Skin

I have been using L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Fragrance-Free Hydrating Cream for over 1 week in the winter time. The cream is thick and heavy. I am using a bit more than usual and am applying about 1 teaspoon on my face and neck in a circular motion. At this rate, the pot of 50ml is getting emptied quite quickly.

I would be interested to try it in the Summer months, to see if the cream isn't too thick when the temperature is warmer.

After the morning application, my skin feels very well hydrated and stays so for the day. I can see my skin getting firmer.

The cream is fragrance-free, which is a bonus for sensitive skins.

I like the new eco-designed lightweight glass jar. The jar is made of 30% of recycled glass and the cardboard of the box is also 100% recyclable. L'Oreal products are fantastic for people who want to use products without animal testing.

I would definitely recommend the cream to people with sensitive skin.

Tips: Massage, apply to the skin in circular motion for better absorption.
