nice and light

So, first things first, but I *love* the cleanser, night cream and oil in this range. I picked up a very cool 5 piece sampler pack in the supermarket for a trip to Australia, and it was great to try things together. I have another upcoming trip and will repurchase the pack for that.

So saying, this is middle-of-the-road for me. I'll use it, for sure, but it's not a 'wow' or 'holy grail' product for me.

The sample comes in a generous size, in a soft pink tube with a screw cap. The design of the full sized product is a far more effective pump action dispenser atop a brown bottle with a label in the same soft pink.

This moisturiser is light and softly scented and it is quite thin. It spreads well, absorbs easily, and creates soft, hydrated, supple skin. WIth my oily skin it does leave a little sheen, which may have been partly attributed to Australian humidity or the amount of racing about (hello, shopping!) I was doing, but which I don't normally get from my regular lotion.

Benefit of the doubt though, as - as a whole - this range left my skin lovely... I will be purchasing this when I pan out my current one to use longer term. I love the nourishing, healing oils in this product, and the fact that it is so light and yet still hydrating.

Tips: You can pick up the sampler pack for less than $20 in supermarkets and it is a *great* way to try out the range

A nice moisturiser

I use the face wash and decided to try the moisturiser. It is a lovely moisturiser and comes with an easy pump dispenser and its very hydrating and isn't over powering with the scent. I find that the formula is a bit thick/heavy for my skin. You don't need a lot of product also. I usually use a moisturiser with an spf in it so I wouldn't purchase again due to this and it being a tad heavy for me.

Hit and miss

Out of all the sample sized products in the Essano Rosehip Treat Your Skin Pack, Essano Rosehip Regenerating Facial Moisturiser was my favourite. The moisturiser is suitable for all skin types, has a delicate scent and was moisturising enough for me to use as either a day cream or night cream on my oily skin (if you have dry skin you'll need something richer at night, like their night cream).

I can't comment on the full sized packaging, as this came in a 20ml pink and black sample sized tube. The white cream has a good medium consistency (it's not as thin as a lotion but not thick like a cream) with a lightweight texture that is readily absorbed. It's non-greasy and leaves a soft not-quite-matte feel on the skin, making it perfect for use under make-up.

The moisturiser has a delicate, hard to pinpoint scent that smells almost floral with possible citrus undertones (maybe roses and lemons?) but it isn't overpowering and the smell dissipates fairly quickly after application.

Essano Rosehip Regenerating Facial Moisturiser is made in New Zealand, is cruelty free, does not contain parabens, sulphates, phthalates or silicones and is made with certified organic ingredients.

Unfortunately, I probably won't purchase this product again, purely because I don't like their cleanser or night cream and prefer to use complimentary products from the same product range, but I'd definitely recommend Essano Rosehip Regenerating Facial Moisturiser to anyone looking for or wanting to try and new moisturiser.

Tips: If you haven't tried Essano Rosehip products, get their Treat Your Skin pack first. It's full of luxury sample sizes that allow you to test the products before committing to full sized bottles.

Consistency a bit thin

Rosehip Regenerating Facial Moisturiser, is a lightly scented moisturiser.

My favourite thing about it is the pump dispenser as it’s a lot easier than mucking around with screw top jars when you’ve got moisturizer on your hands.

I felt that they consistency was a bit thin for me which was perhaps why it didn’t seem to give a deep moisturizing effect but just a surface application.

Maybe better suited to oilier or younger skins ?

A light moisturiser

I bought this moisturiser off a beauty vault and was really excited to try it, as I love essano products. I intended to use it as a day cream, but realised it didn't have SPF in it, so use it at night instead. It's a nice night cream to use during the summer, as it's not too heavy and sinks into the skin well. If you're looking for a super hydrating cream, this probably isn't the one for you though!

Tips: Pair it with the essano rosehip facial oil for a more hydrating experience!

Good moisturizer

I found this to be a good moisturizer although I don't use it every day, it has a nice scent but if you use too much it can get over powering. I love the pump bottle. I found its a good moisturizer to use before bed as it has time to sink into the skin and do its thing.

Tips: Don't go too overboard, as it can leave a greasy feel to your skin.

A good, simple moisturiser.

I'm a huge rosehip lover, this feel nice and smells clean and simple, personally I didn't feeling lasting hydration in my skin front his product. But I see it as a great simple moisturiser.

Now this I like...

I received generous samples of both this and the rosehip oil and out of the two products I far preferred this one. My first impressions were that I really liked the simple but pretty packaging, my eyes would definitely be drawn to it browsing the beauty aisle. I used this on my hands (esp after hand washing) which are very dry and wrinkly (for a 29 year old anyway!). After a couple of days they felt noticeably smoother and softer. I don't mind the scent although it did last a little longer than i'd like. It soaked into my skin very quickly and didn't leave a yucky greasy feeling which is also a bonus. I really enjoyed this moisturiser as a slightly more "fancy" alternative to my every day (aveeno) routine.

A good one here

I really like this moisturiser! Its the one I am using at the moment and have no complaints. Good price for the amount of product you receive. Easy to find & buy- just a local supermarket. Smells nice, feels good, lightweight lotion but very moisturising for a lotion rather than cream product.

I only didn't rate it 5/5 because even though I love the ease of a pump, its a pain when travelling. You have to pump a whole lot of product out (or back in to the bottle) to be able to close off the pump and lock it in place. Does that make sense? Just not as easy as popping on a lid. Plus, the packaging is nice too, caught my eye while browsing.

Tips: One pump is too much for your face, just use half.

Surprisingly great

I was skeptical about this brand because I tend to be a bit of a skincare snob and this is from the supermarket, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality! It absorbs really easily, has a delicate scent and leaves my face feeling lovely and soft. I am keen to try some more products from the range now.
