Cute as a button

Im a bit late to jump onto this bandwagon, but better late then never right?

EOS (which stands for evolution of smooth) made these adorable lip balms a few years ago, and honestly the hype was huge, and a big thing for any lip balm to live up to, which these unfortunately did not.

The packaging is to die for. Its comes in a unique ball shape, well a shape that was unique at the time, but since then many brands have created lip products in similar packaging. Any who, it has a creative shape, a dome which twist undone. One half is the lid, and the other half features a dome of lip balm. The packaging is easy to hold with groves for your fingers on either side, and honestly is packaging perfection.

The lip balm is yellow is colour, and like i said a dome shape, and it smells amazing. I have four of these (don't judge me), and they smell so good! The formula feels lovely. Its balmy, not not to waxy, and not too slippery, its just right.

Now to the negatives. I do use this product a lot, but i find if my lips are dry, this provides no relief what so ever. However, if my lips are in good condition, it does seem to protect them from the wind and other environmental factors.

Overall, gorgeous packaging, amazing smell, great feel, but doesn't really live up to all its promises

General lipbalm hidden behind hyped packaging

Just like any beauty obsessed fanatic I had to get my hands on EOS Lip Balm as it was the thing to have, with the stand out circular packaging it was clear to others you had it, a certain look. I had heard it was amazing and nourishing for your lips but i was then to find out extremely disappointed.

The Lip Balm it self is very silicone like when applied, almost leaving a layer on the top of your lips that then fails to soak in and provide moisture? I feel this is a very below average lip balm hidden within the "must have" packaging and label.

Cute design makes it a cute item to have present in your hand bag for occasional use but if you are wanting a moisturizing balm then steer clear.

Tips: Don't over apply when it doesn't give enough moisture as this can have the reverse effect and further dry your lips out :(

Cute and comfy

The EOS lipbalm is a very good lipbalm. It does not have the highest hydration in the world, but it is great for everyday wear. I love the packaging, which is almost made for diy reuses, and the easy way of applicating. I have pomegranate, mint and apple, and they are some of my favourite lip balms, especially mint, which is essential for a fresh feeling and has been a part of my night routine for a year now.

Cute but not the best

I have to admit these lip balms have got the most unique and adorable packaging!! On my trip to America my sister and I stocked up on the array of colours and flavours, however I think that the packaging is the only great thing about these little gems. I found that these lip balms did not really keep my lips moisturised and my lips were still feeling dry even after I liberally applied it to my lips. And, there are different flavours of these lip balms but the scents are not really that noticeable. These are adorable, but if you're looking for a holy-grail lip balm you'll be disappointed.

Eos in summer fruits

This have been the hype. So when I received it as a gift pack I was buzzing. Yay I'm part of the hype lol. Personally I don't buy lip balms or glosses they're usually gifts I get for Christmas or the like. So this being said is my first eos and was a gift part of a prize I won. It came in a sealed cardboard plastic packet with directions etc. I failed to read these in excitement of receiving it and just ripped it open. I did however see the name of flavor/scent. Summerfruits. (Which is quite yummy non offensive just right) Its packaging is cute a matte looking egg shaped tub that has a screw lid and the balm sits in one half ,conveniently shaped. Upon observation my concern was how can I use this? Then it clicked you apply directly to lips & the shaped balm thus being mentione as "conveniently shaped" it glides to your lips and such a dinky little egg rounded shaped package nice to hold. I'd say this type of packaging makes it travel friendly. Nice addition to your makeup tavel bag in my purse. Or easily able to sit into pockets of your clothes. The scent whiffs nicely& is tasted upon the lips. I use it prior to putting any makeup on so that by the time lip pencil and stick is applied my lips are moist. I don't feel like it's a penatrating lip balm more a sit on top of the lip giving some sheer cover. Not any treatment just a cover.

So all in all its cute,it smells nice, travel friendly,it's convenient & it's great for sheer cover not a moisterizering balm.

Cute packaging

I looove the packaging design. Love the colours and scent. They dont help moisten dry lips or anything like that. I do love the texture when you put it on though.

EOS Lipbalm

I really love the packaging on these babies. It fits perfectly in your hand, making it comfortable and easy to apply. Not to mention all the colours are funky and cute.

THe lipbalm itself is really nice. I find it to be hydrating, albeit not the longest lasting. Bonus is that if you accidentally get any in your mouth it tastes good. I love the shape of the balm, as I can simply purse my lips and swipe at them, without having to delicately apply anything.

Smells Nice

I bought this after seeing it all over tumblr with it's adorable packaging and sweet scents. I tried it out the first time and was pleasantly delighted about the fruity smell. However about 10 minutes passed and my lips did not feel significantly more moisturised so I applied more. By this time my lips were coated in EOS but nothing seemed to change. I realise this lip balm just seems to form a coat to prevent dry air from getting to your lips and seal in moisture. However they don't really do much for my lips. Will be sticking to my Hurraw balms.

EOS Lip Balm

I find these to be very over rated much like Maybelline's Baby Lips. The formula is average and quite cheap in texture. I do not find this to be a hydrating lip balm nor could I use it to prevent or cure dry cracked lips.

The packaging is very cool and some what unique (I guess this is what we all get drawn in by). I own every flavor as they were super cheap in the states and the packaging makes me want to buy every one I see.

For people with very dry lips like myself I would not recommend these lip balms as the fragrance and low quality formula will eventually make your lips itchy and break out in a rash.

Great product!

These are super cute!!! I had to purchase them. I ordered nearly all of them through an american friend. But the mint one is by far my favourite! Although they are all great, the mint one leaves a cooling feeling to the lips with a tingy sensation which i loved. They all go on smooth. I got these for around $5each NZ dollar from my friend but i know over here they can be any where from $9-15 each which i find crazy but what isnt alot more here beauty wise when compared to US prices. My nieces, sisters and my 4yr old all loved mine so much i had to get them some as well. They last a good amount of time and they can be re used when finished to make home made lipbalms which is such a cool idea.

Tips: Keep containers when finished for home made lipbalms, youtube it for instructions :)
