L'Oreal Paris Pure Clay Charcoal Mask

I received this in the last vault, and although not being a mask person, decided to see if this mask would make my skin any better in appearance. The pot comes with a nice green lid and has a generous amount (50ml) of product in it. The consistency is quite goopy but easy to spread and I also applied some to the backs of my hands because the skin there needs help. A pleasant but not overpowering scent and dries quickly. After about 15 minutes I removed the mask easily with a damp facecloth and was pleasantly surprised that my skin felt refreshed and softer and also my pores felt. a bit tighter. I will purchase again, but might try the other two masks in the range first

Tips: Cleanse face thoroughly first before applying mask, and splash face with cold water after removing mask to close pores.

L'Oreal Paris Pure Clay Mask Detoxify & Brighten

I have to start this of by saying that I have acne prone skin with normal type around the cheek area and an oily t-zone. I was so excited to try this mask and I definitely was not disappointed!

It arrived in a compact green box with a window. The product itself came in a square glass bottle with a green lid. Felt very luxurious! As you open the lid there is a protective cover which you have to lift to reveal the mask.

The product inside the jar is dark grey in colour. It isn't goopy but it is thick in nature. There are no bits throughout the mask as it is quite a smooth texture.

I have used this 3 times since I received it. I apply a thin layer using my fingers to my freshly cleansed face. You do not need to use a lot as a little goes a long way! Applies very smoothly without a fuss. I really liked the smell of this mask as I did not find it to be overpowering at all. It says to leave it on for about 10-15 minutes. The mask starts to dry really quickly and as it dries it starts to become a shade lighter. The most satisfying part is that as this mask dries on your face, little dots start appearing on the areas where it seems to be sucking out the most gunk. This also starts to tighten as it dries.

After the 15 minutes is up (and the mask is completely dry on your face), I removed this using warm water and a soft face cloth. It removes just as easily as it goes in which is awesome! I instantly noticed the little blackheads on my nose had decreased in number! My skin felt really smooth and looked amazing. I felt as if the mask had actually taken out all the gunk from the top layer of my skin.

The first couple of days after using this for the first time, I did notice some pimply bumps around my cheek and chin area. I figured this was just due to the mask pulling out all the unnecessary oils from deep within my skin and sure enough, I was right. After the first few days these went away and I was left with great looking skin!

This mask is definitely something I would repurchase again - not that I would have to anytime soon as the amount of product that comes in this is insane! :)

Tips: I used this in conjunction with the gel face wash from the same line and i felt like the two products work really well with each other!!

Relax, Detoxify & Brighten at home

I recently enjoyed a Silica Mud Mask in The Blue Lagoon in Iceland and using this product bought back all the memories and soft skin feelings. I've used this L'Oreal Paris Pure Clay Mask three times in the past week. When I put a thin layer of it on my face it quickly starts to dry, tighten and change colour. I could also quickly see my pores and I felt like deep impurities were being eliminated. What it says on the packet is accurate, 10-15 minutes is enough for it to set and do it's thing. After rinsing off my skin felt amazing!

Tips: Use in conjunction with L'oreal Paris' Pure Clay Detoxifying Gel Wash for an extra clear and detoxed feeling.

L'Oreal Paris Pure Clay Mask

Thank your BR for letting me trial this product.

It comes in a small glass pottle with a screw on lid, the consistency is thick, charcoal colour and a slight scent of clay.

Just like any other mask, easy to apply. I always apply mine with an angled foundation brush as I find that this works really well for me. Leave mask on for the recommend 10-15 minutes or until dry. As the mask dries, your skin will become increasingly tight. When you're ready, wash off gently with warm water and pat your face dry.

I really like this mask, it leaves my skin feeling fresh and revived. I feel that my skin tone looks more balanced. My daughter's even liked using it.

I would highly recommend and will be repurchasing.

Tips: Use in conjunction with the Loreal Clay facial wash.

My skin feels amazingly soft and bright!

I have been using L'Orèal Paris Pure Clay Mask for about a week now. I alternate using it once every two days. I apply the clay as directed on the packaging, around my face and avoiding eyes and lips area. Not long after that I feel my skin tightens. I waited for about 15 minutes, the clay dried and change its colour to grey from almost black. I einse it using warm towel. Afterwards my skin feels very soft and firm. I love this product! It definitely detox and brightens my skin. Very satisfied, and will definitely using this again!

Tips: Do yourself a favour! Before applying the mask, get your favourite relaxing music ready! After applying the mask, lie down, turn the music on and just relax while the mask does its job.

Affordable and does the job

It's made with Charcoal and 3 types of pure clay: Kaolin, Ghassoul and Montmorillonite. Although it has a lot of detoxifying ingredients my skin felt remarkably soft and fresh after use. My skin is currently behaving itself (hopefully I don't jynx myself now) so I can't speak for help with drying up spots etc but I did notice a slight improvement with my stubborn blackheads and my pores appeared smaller. ⁣Overall a great mask and affordable at $19.99

Tips: Make sure you hydrate your skin afterwards as clay mask can be very drying. This removes easily with water, without the need to use a face cloth etc to remove (which can lead to over exfoliating the face)

Clean and clear

I received this in the last Beauty vault - I’m a solid L’Oréal fan so was excited to try this one. I typically use the Skin Food one so was keen to try something different.

It’s your standard L’Oréal packaging with the beautiful square glass jar. I always love the square shape - it makes stacking them on shelves so easy, and taking off lids with damp hands is easy.

The product is nice and thick, it’s a really pretty grey (not like the mud colour), and the biggest thing that impressed me was the gorgeous scent. It doesn’t have the horrible clay/mud scent that some do, this was nice and not overpowering.

The product applies really smoothly, doesn’t pull or drip and you don’t need a lot. It tingles a bit the first few times you use it, but it’s not uncomfortable at all. Depending on how oily your skin is, it takes around 15mins to completely dry out. Once dry it is really stiff, so can be a little uncomfortable then.

A damp facecloth removes the product easily and leaves behind beautiful, clean and clear skin.

Tips: Make sure you wash your face well first for maximum benefit, and moisturise well afterwards.

Indulgent cleanliness

Indulgent. Perfectly Clean. L'Oréal Skin Experts have created a super-charged pure clay mask with Charcoal to detoxify and illuminate skin in 10 minutes. This formula provides a luxurious experience while potent pure clays and charcoal feel like a magnet that draws-out and captures impurities (such as oil). It feels like a creamy, non-drying formula which left my skin feeling clean, velvety, and rebalanced. This mask addresses dull, tired skin to reveal a purified, even, and radiant complexion. Immediately, my skin looks brighter with a healthy glow. Skin is perfectly clean and clear, feels as though it can breathe better. Skin is healthy looking and more beautiful. I recommend using this with the matching face wash to prep the skin well.

Tips: Apply an even layer to clean dry skin, avoiding eye and lip area. Leave on for 10 to 15 minutes then remove with water. For best results i used this 3 times in a week.

Loreal Pure Clay Mask

Out of the three different masks in the range, I have been using the detoxifying and brightening one, twice a week. I have used a few different charcoal clay masks before and didn't like them so wasn't too sure if I would find this one any good either. Other masks I have used similar to this one seemed to have sapped every bit of moisture from my skin instead of just detoxifying/cleansing it, so it has been a bad outcome as I already have dry skin to begin with. The Loreal pure clay mask hasn't done this at all and instead it has left me with very soft and clear skin, and my skin seems a little brighter overall. The product comes in a jar, and is a dark grey colour. Once applied it doesn't take too long to dry and didn't make my face itch either. The mask has a really nice fragrance to it aswell. Definately has become one of my favourites, and by far the best charcoal/clay mask I have personally used.

Tips: It's a good idea to use before a shower as it makes washing it off super easy!

New Favourite

I was selected to trial this product and it was instant love (and conveniently it arrived the day I'd finished another face mask).

The product comes in expensive looking packing. A nice shiny box with a window, then the product is in a hefty high end looking glass jar. It instantly lifted the product's image.

Inside the glass jar is the charcoal coloured mask. I would use it twice a week, and more frequently if you have problem skin.

The box did not contain an applicator, which I would have liked to have seen, but fingers work in a pinch if you don't have one on hand.

Apply a thin layer over your face (if you make it too thick it won't dry so easily and have the same impact). The mask instantly starts to dry, and as it does it lightens, with areas like clogged pores staying darker as impurities are drawn out. The mask also starts to feel tighter on the face.

After the 15 to 20 minutes the mask if dry and easily comes off with a warm cloth. I also use the wash with a warm cloth prior to applying the mask which leaves my pores more open.

Afterwards my skin felt brighter and detoxified and I noticed a few tiny black dots on my nose had gone.

Tips: The wash and mask together pack an extra punch for detoxifying the skin.
