Not for me!

I received the Hydra Bomb tissue mask and I was looking forward to trying this sheet mask. The instructions on how to use it are pretty simple and straightforward and the pack contains 1 tissue mask for single use. I opened the pack and found the mask to be soaking in serum. I applied it on and removed the protective blue film, it is quite easy to adjust it around your eyes, nose and mouth area. It was very cold and sloppy but it did not drip down my neck or clothes, it’s best to do this lying down so that it doesn’t slide off. I tried this on late evening before bed, left it on for 15 mins as instructed and peeled it off from the edges. There was a lot of serum on my face. So I massaged the excess into my skin and had to wait an extra 10 mins for it to get absorbed into my skin but still had to wipe some off. My skin did feel quite nice after that, pretty soft but because there was so much serum left over, there was a slight bit of stickiness which did go away after but it does take some time. However the next morning when I woke up my skin around my mouth area was really dry, dryer than what it normally is, and this mask is supposed to give 24hr lasting hydration, but it didn’t do that for me. I ended up using a different hydrating cream mask that morning to give my skin some relief. I was disappointed because upon application this did not irritate my skin at all and would have been good treat during hot summer days. Don’t think I’d be buying this again. Sorry not for me.

Tips: Best used lying down so that it does not slide off.

Garnier Hydra Bomb

Eek, I was so excited to trial this product! I have used this types of masks before, with various degrees in effectiveness, however I think this one would have to be one of my favorites...for the results. Getting the mask out of the packaging took a little bit of effort as the solution is quite goopy. Once out of the package, it took a bit of manourvering to fit onto the contours of my face...but it was a lot of fun trying! I left it on for the 15 minute suggested time. The mask solution felt jelly-like and extremely cold but soothing. On removal, my usually red complexion appeared calmed and normal. My skin feels completely saturated in hydration and is super soft to the touch. I am pretty impressed with the Hydra Bomb mask, it totally lives up to its name and I will definitely be repurchasing! I've had to put make up on for work and I can not believe how much less foundation my face required and how it's sits so nicely!

Super impressed!

Tips: Make sure you have your phone at the ready, to take lots of crazy photos! So much fun. Be prepared for the coldness of the mask!

Garnier Chamomile Tissue Mask - Hydra Bomb!

I was really pleased to be selected to try this mask. With the change of winter to spring, my skin needed all the hydration it could get. It's great that Garnier is picking up on the Korean Sheet Mask vibe and giving us an easy option to try from the drugstore. Single portions mean that you don't have to buy the whole box. Currently I only see Neutrogena masks in our supermarkets, but sheet masks are available online just about everywhere.

I do have some high end products to help out with my dryness, so it was interesting to compare. My Lancome Sleeping Mask (which cost me an arm and a leg) was a good comparison for this product. Like the Lancome, this Garner has a smooth gel like consistency and really soaks into the skin. You could feel the goodness in it straight off, so I grabbed the blue mask protector and rubbed it all over my neck - I actually considered going further. Maybe next time.

Given it's for sensitive skin and contains chamomile, it was soothing and calming as I would expect. I left it on for 30 mins, as other masks I've used suggest that, before removing.

My skin felt smooth and glowing afterwards. I didn't wipe it off, instead leaving it on so that the product can dry. It may be a little sticky for some, but it feels amazing! I can compare this to the Lancome - ouch it hurts when I say that - and would stock up on these.

One tiny thing was that I felt the eye holes were a bit close together, but reading other reviews, it maybe that my face is gargantuan! haha

Tips: Don't waste any of the product. Rub it everywhere. the décolletage is often a neglected area so this will be an absolute treat for that area!!

Absolutely amazing!!

This sheet mask surprised me so much! I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting much from Garnier as their products have not impressed me in the past, but this was just amazing.

The ONLY complaint I have is that the mask itself is a little bit too big too fit my face comfortably, however you're able to stick it to your face reasonably easily because the mask is drenched in serum.

I left the mask on for about 20 minutes, and then rubbed the excess serum into my skin. Once it had all sunken in I expected to need to moisturise my face as my skin tends to feel very tight and dry, but this left my skin feeling moisturised all day and for most of the next day. The packaging says that the mask provides long lasting moisture, and that is definitely true.

My skin also felt very cool, I have acne so my skin tends to be irritated most of the time, and I feel like this mask calmed it down a lot. I also think this mask helped to reduce pimple size, redness and amount of pimples that tend to pop up every couple of days.

I loved using this mask, I think it had an incredible effect on my skin and I will definitely be buying more.

Tips: Take time to fit the mask to your face, and use the serum to stick it down. Make sure to take the excess serum left in the packet and rub it on your neck and hands!

Hydrabomb

I haven’t used a lot of tissue masks before, and I was really excited to try this! The foil packet it easy to tear open and instructions on the back of the packet are really easy to follow. The mask was easy to get out of the bag and it smelt really fresh. I applied this in the mirror, as I knew I would probably get it in my eyes and after applying to your face, the instructions say to peel off the outer blue layer. I didn’t have too much trouble with this, as I could see what I was doing in the mirror, however the mask lifted a bit off my face and moved while doing this. The mask was a little too big for my face (as I has anticipated as I have a small face) and a tiny bit went into my hair, but it was tied up so this didn’t bother me. It was easy to smooth the mask over my face- I thought it wouldn’t stick in some places, but once I adjusted the mask to fit my face, it smoothed out to lay all over my face. As the mask was full of moisture and was sitting in a fair amount of liquid, I thought the mask would drip or slide down my face. However, it didn’t drip or slip down, I sat on the couch watching tv while I left it on for the 15 minutes. The mask felt really cooling, refreshing and soothing and I felt really relaxed! My skin also really liked it- it is really sensitive so I usually only use natural products on it, and it didn’t react at all! No rash, itch, redness or sting. My skin is also really dry- but it was feeling good after using this mask and really hydrated and nourished. After removal of the mask, there was a lot of liquid left on my skin so I massaged into my skin. My skin felt kind of sticky after it dried, like there was some residue left on my skin, so I put some moisturizer on but it was still a bit tacky. The next morning, my skin felt really hydrated and moisturized. All in all, while its hard to see the effect after one mask, I liked this and would use it again. My skin felt refreshed and hydrated and I felt relaxed while using this. I wonder if this will come in packs of more than one, as that would be useful for ongoing use.

Tips: Apply in the mirror! It's much easier to see what you're doing and will avoid getting the mask in your eyes!

I kept patting my face

My trial sample arrived about five minutes after I got out of the shower so because I was freshly cleansed and exfoliated I did this mask right away, that way I could see what kind of results I would get from it even a week later. So I read the instructions which are simple enough: apply tissue side to your face, once patted down carefully peel off the blue side and leave on for 15 mins, then remove and either massage the contents into the skin or wipe off. Getting it out of the sachet was easy enough though I have to admit the gel went a bit everywhere which I was unprepared for but they definitely don't skimp on the ingredients with this. (I even managed to keep some of the gel that I squeezed out of the pouch) I've never used one of these masks before so getting it to sit on my face was a bit of a mission, but an educational one as I think I can do it a lot quicker now that I've had a go. (I pity the person trying to design something that fits everyones face perfectly lol) The only issue with the tissue mask is that it can be hard to get it to sit on your face properly and comfortably so I had to get a little creative as I wanted to get the most out of it. So I took it on and off a couple of times each time trimming bits off the eye, nose and mouth areas and just widening it very slowly until I got it sitting really well on my face, patting it down was easy enough. I've used soft masks in the past, and felt pretty similar to wear. I left it on for a bit longer and waited until it was only slightly damp to the touch before taking it off. I decided not to waste any of the product and just massaged in the left over gel on my skin. It felt slightly sticky for a while but absorbed into my skin well though it took a few hours to dry completely but hey I've suffered through worse in the sake of beauty so wasn't terribly inconvenient. The next day I spent most of it patting my face so a definite difference in my skin and found I didn't need to moisturise for a few days ( I intentionally avoided using a proper cleanser on my face to see how long it would last and just used warm water and a washcloth instead) Even my friends have said they could see a difference in my skin tone and for a few days I didn't have those lovely dry patches on my eyebows and nose, so I think I might be adding these to my cupboard as I'm quite a happy customer after trying it out. Will be getting some for girls night!!

Tips: If you are going to trim the mask like I did then I'd advise using nail scissors especially if you are goin to trim it while its on your face for obvious safety reasons but also due to the fact this is made from tissue and you don't want to rip it if you can help it, I will say though I did accidentally rip it but it had no issue still sticking to my face. If you are going to choose to massage the leftovers into your face I'd advise doing one of these maks at night as it might not go to well with makeup over top of it otherwise you'll get weird sticky powder patches.

Refreshing.

I have never tried a Tissue Mask before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. It was easy enough to place on my face, and eyes, nose and mouth fitted into the slots provided. It felt cool and refreshing while on. It definitely felt like it was hydrating while I sat relaxing, waiting for the 15 minutes before I could take it off. Once off, I rubbed in excess and let dry. My face felt sticky for some time after, however once completely dried, the stickiness was gone. While it was a nice refreshing treatment, I don't think I'd use it again. It's not something I'd personally use often, nor did I enjoy the sticky feeling afterwards. I do have to say, my skin does feel nice and soft and moisturised since using this.

Tips: Be patience once you have removed the mask, and let it dry.

Garnier Chamomile Tissue Mask.

I was super excited to be selected for this trial cause I love my sheet masks. I wasn't expecting much as I have used a garnier mask before and wasn't very impressed with results, but can happily say this one surprised me.

While the mask was massive for me it will fit many face shapes and would be easy to trim the edges to fit if you so desired to do so.

So full of moisture but not to much that it dripped when removed from packaging, was refreshing and cooling for my face. For a lady who is super picky with her cleansing products as most of the supermarket shelf products react i was super surprised with how soothing it was on my face.

Once i had left mask on for approx 15 mins i patted the residue serum in to face but did have to remove some excess so maybe a lil to much moisture in the packaging. But the next morning no residue on face and skin felt amazing so did its job.

Overall a great product as a one off but a bit to much moisture in the product and not really my cup of tea.

Tips: remove some of the excess moisture before placing on face.

Face Mask Fascination

Tissue face masks have quickly become one of the newer cult beauty trends so it's always good to see an affordable brand release a range of masks for those that don't want to shell out too much money but still be able to indulge.

The first thing that I noticed about the Garnier Tissue mask is the beautiful packaging and I'm a real sucker for packaging as a lot of people are!

The mask itself was actually one of the better fitting masks I've tried... I suppose it's impossible to get a mask that fits every face type but this one molded quite nicely to my face with just the eye holes being a little too close together.

I was really happy that this mask didn't have an offensive smell, it didn't smell too much like anything which I prefer, especially because I don't want highly fragranced products on my skin because that can't be good for it!

I noticeably relaxed while wearing this mask and actually found the 15 minute wait bearable, when usually I'm quite a 'busy' person. When I removed my mask, my only grievance (and I've had this issue with all ma9sks I've used) is there is so much residual product/moisture left over - I know this is a deeply hydrating and moisturizing mask so it's to be expected I suppose so I lightly massaged it into my skin and then patted my skin with a clean makeup pad to dry it off a little more.

I was impressed with this mask, my skin felt smoother, more hydrated and what surprised me was it felt firmer which I didn't expect! I would definitely agree that my skin felt more hydrated, firmer and softer for 24 hours as they state on the packaging.

This isn't a product I would rush to repurchase and use on a super regular basis but I enjoyed using it, I felt more relaxed afterwards and my skin thanked me for it so it would definitely be, say, a once a month indulgence - however, I would happily stock up with it retailing at that super affordable price!

Tips: Massage any residual moisture into your skin after removing the mask and if there is still too much for your liking left over, then dab off with a clean makeup pad/flannel but very gently as you don't want to remove all the goodness! Also, use it to your advantage and make sure you're in a quiet room, light a candle, read a book while you wait the 15 minutes and really enjoy how relaxing the process is!

Garnier Hydra Bomb Tissue Mask

I have very dry skin year round and am always looking for anything that will help hydrate it. The Garnier hydra bomb tissue mask states it is an ultra hydrating soothing mask which instantly rehydrates skin, so I was quite optimistic about the results I might get. The positives - it definately delivers on being very soothing. My skin felt very comfortable the whole time I had the mask on, mildly cool and soothed. The negatives - I didn't feel this mask hydrated my dry skin whatsoever. In fact I had to apply my usual moisturiser about an hour after using this mask because my skin had dried out again. It definately didn't give me 24hr hydration. The mask is however very easy to use, and not messy at all. I think this mask would be better suited for people with normal/combination skin who might like abit of a small hydration boost, but if your dealing with very dry skin, I can't really recommend it as I personally didn't find it hydrating enough.

Tips: Probably not the best choice if you have very dry skin as it wasn't hydrating enough.
