Leaves more to be desired

I do like trying to use more natural products especially when they are made in NZ and from a business that originated in my home town.

I purchased this because of the ingredients listed. It sounded great on paper, but to use it leaves more to be desired to be honest.

In the box is a tube with steel roller ball. Nice and cooling to use on the eye area.. even better when kept in the fridge. It’s a small amount for the price paid so I would only ever purchase on sale.

The box and packaging is ok appearance wise. I feel like the linden leaves packaging in general isn’t really for me.. it’s a bit dated some of it. The eye serum packaging isn’t the worst as it’s one of their more simple style packaging designs.

The serum solution itself is nice. It’s a clear gel with a decent viscosity so it doesn’t really get wasted as it can be hard to see how much your using with the rollerball in the way.

The gel I noticed sort of sits on the skin, dries and sometimes rubs off. The morning after I would recommend washing your face prior to makeup application etc as I would sometimes rub my eyes and rub away left over product.

Effective wise it was soothing and cooling. I feel like it did slightly hydrate, but I don’t think it did anything to minimise signs of aging. It didn’t really smooth skin. For the price I paid I think it should have been more effective.

The ingredients are great I love it has naturally derived ingredients and antioxidants. I only wish it was a bit more effective as a solution.

Tips: Keep in the fridge for a super soothing serum

Eye Rescue Serem

I got this in a best beauty box ever kiwi brands cruelty free box. I like the applicator and I like how cooling and refreshing it feels when you first put it on under the eyes. But I find that this product ends up making my under eyes feel quite sticky and tight. It feels like it sits on the top of my skin instead of soaking in. So it's not my favourite under eye cream.

Smells like roses

Linden Leaves Eye Rescue Serum is paraben and sls free, is not tested on animals and is a soothing, cooling, nourishing and hydrating eye serum with a wonderful rose scent that evokes memories of walking through a rose garden after a rain shower. The liquid lotion is packaged in a simple, white 15ml plastic tube with a roller ball applicator and screw on lid.

Containing the antioxidant properties of organic white tea, the toning and nourishing properties of rose and the balancing and hydrating properties of grapeseed oil, this eye serum is suitable for all skin types (including sensitive skin) and promises to help minimise visible signs of ageing and refresh stressed or tired eyes.

The simple packaging makes the eye serum really easy to apply. I simply roll the roller ball applicator lightly under my eyes (avoiding direct contact with my eyes) and then gently pat the product into my skin using my ring fingers.

The serum does feel soothing and refreshing but, to be honest, I haven't really noticed a reduction in fine lines (or visible signs of ageing) around my eyes, so I can't really comment on whether this product lives up to all its promises.

Linden Leaves products are expensive and compared to other eye creams and eye serums that I've used in the past, I really can't see much difference between an expensive product like this and a cheaper, more affordable alternative (other than the organic ingredients that this one claims it contains).

Would I purchase this product again or recommend it to a friend? Probably not.

Tips: Try storing it in the fridge for an extra refreshing boost.

Cool And Refreshing, That's About It

I got this in a BBBE box earlier this year and have been using recently. I think this is only the second Linden Leaves product I have used so I was excited to see how this would work for me.

The box packaging has a lot of writing on it but points out all the good stuff. NZ made, cruelty free, environmentally friendly packaging, supporting sustainable and ethical business practices. The things I like to see on a product I use. The product packaging is a quite plain toothpaste style tube with a roller ball for product distribution.

I like how the rollerball is cool on the skin, it feels refreshing. The rollerball makes for super easy application. Barely has a scent. Except for my eye area looking a bit more hydrated I have not noticed anything else while using this product.

I don't see any improvement from when I started using it till now which is disappointing. It doesn't work for me at all and is not something I consider purchasing in future.

I don't enjoy this product at all

I received this product in a goodie box last year. I'd never heard of this brand before but this seemed to be quite hyped up and I remember seeing shannxo rave about how amazing this is. The price tag of $50 is way more then I've ever paid for an eye cream before so I was both excited and expecting great things from it.

The packaging is nice and simple. It is a white tube with a screw on lid and it has a metal rollerball to apply the product. The actual serum is clear and quite thin in texture. It has a very light floral scent.

The first couple of times I used this, I really liked it. Applying it with the roller feels so soothing and cooling on the undereye area. Unfortunately my ball got stuck and I couldn't unstuck it. In fact I managed to squeeze it so hard that I popped the seam in a corner at the top of the tube. Currently this is how I'm getting the product out. Without the roller, it doesn't feel like anything special and despite almost using the whole tube, I haven't noticed anything different. Granted, I don't have fine lines or bags but I still have some darkness under my eyes.

Overall, I wouldn't use this product again, to me it's not worth the price at all. Even if it was only $5 I still wouldn't buy it.
