Clinique Anti-Blemish Cleansing Bar for Face and Body Review

The idea of this facial cleaner is interesting - a bar that you use on your face! In terms of design I thought this was a pretty clever idea. It's easy to use and very familiar. I think everyone can relate to having used a bar of soap.

The scent of the bar is very, very mild. I actually didn't notice it at all. It foamed up really well, and was quite easy to use either washing my face at the sink or using it in the shower (I even used it with my cleaning brush a couple of times - it worked nicely). The bar also goes a long way - after a couple of months of use there was still a substantial amount of the bar left.

But beyond that, I wasn't in love with this product. It did a decent job of cleaning my face, but I found it to be quite drying. It also didn't do much for clearing up acne - I actually found that it irritated some of my problem areas.

I love love love Clinique, but for me, this one was a miss.

I got this 3 step sample from the Clinique counter at Smith and Caugheys. The sample came in a little plastic bag and the bar was a decent size for a sample. It works simple enough - just like a body soap bar except for the face. I would wet it and then lather a bit before applying to my face and massaging it around. I have oily/combo skin and am super acne prone and I found that this didn't do anything for my skin. It didn't worsen, but it definitely didn't improve and actually dried my skin a bit. It also didn't provide me with a clean feeling.

It's an overall below average cleanser for me and I would not repurchase it.

It does exactly what it says on the box. Works a treat on my face and body. I also love the travel mini version for out and about use.

I originally purchased the foaming gel version of this product however found that i went through it at an alarmingly fast rate. Then a friend recommended the bar version. I was sceptical at first as using a bar of soap on my face seemed like a strange idea but it worked wonders. It doesnt dry out my skin like i find some anti-blemish products do. Its super easy to use, i just keep mine in the shower in its little case/soap dish which means that i can use it down my neck also. I have been using it for two months and the bar doesn't seem to have diminished in size at all. Would definately buy again, i am in love with the whole anti-blemish range.

This cleansing soap comes in a nice avocado green hard plastic soap container, a tray with a molded top. The soap itself has a clinical clean fragrance about it, it's a of white colour with Clinique stamped in it. I bought the one for combination to dry skin, instructions are wet the soap then work into a light lather in the palms of your hand wash your face and rinse I do however prefer to use this with a facial cleansing brush, the lather of this has a soft smooth creamy feel to it, also it's easy to completely rinse off my skin without any residue.

I used this when I was younger with skin more prone to breakouts, yes I was one of those girls who had pimples on pimples plus dry greasy skin. This was one of the first breakthrough products that I used to help combat that problem. Now I'm more mature I revisited this range again, due to the odd breakout, I didn't quite get the results I was after.

This soap doesn't dry my skin out it's just left it feeling clean with blemish control, The small travel bars are great so easy and convenient as well face and body in one so easy, for the odd long trip I'll possibly repurchase, a little does go a long way (he he travel soap going a long way)

Clinque cleansing soap is a great bar soap to use all over. I have this in my travel kit and use it alot. Ive found it helped keep my skin nicely hydrated and nourishing. It doesnt dry my skin or led to breakouts. Its so lightweight and versitile and gives a nice creamy texture when applying, such a breeze to wash off aswell

I absolutely love Clinique's cleansing bars, especially this one. It is so effective at keeping my skin clean and clear, without stripping it. It rinses off very quickly and easily, which is important to me, and the bar lasts a long time even with daily use.

This is a good cleanser for those who suffer from acne. I used this in my younger days and found this to be effective, cleansing my skin without stripping it of its natural oils. It comes in its own dish for good hygiene and has a soft brush to lather over your face. As with all Clinique products they are fragrance free and gentle to the skin.

I have a lot of Clinique products- they really work for my skin and I just continue to re-purchase. The cleansers are the best in my opinion.

This bar just cleanses so well and gets rid of makeup and impurities. My go to is normally the mid cleanser in a pump but I also use this bar. They are both great formula that have been great for my skin.

My skin is always refreshed and feels so clean using this. I use in conjunction with the dramatically different moisturizing cream.
