Neutrogena Pore Refining Daily Cleanser Review

I was really excited to try this as I have massive pores, so always looking for anything to reduce their appearance. I don't think this product is acceptable for daily use, as stated. Upon using it my skin felt incredibly tight and dry, which is an unusual feeling for me since my face is an oil slick most of the time! I had to stop using this product as I had some major breakouts which coincided with the start of using this. It states that it refines pores but I didn't notice any difference in the appearance of my pores at all.

When I saw that there was a pore-refining line by Neutrogena, I knew I just had to give it a go! So many time I have heard myself say "my skin is finally looking better, not just need my pores to go away"....

Great price, and I am a big fan of the clear bottle. It means I can keep an eye on how much is left and top up when needed. not nasty "oh, have I already used the last of it" surprises. The cleanser itself has no pretty or fruity fragrance, but personally, for me, that is what I like.

I have been using it every morning, in the shower.

I wanted a cleanser that would keep those pesky spots at bay, without drying or irritating my skin. And this did just that. my skin hasn't had any break outs, or blocked pores. And it hasn't gotten red from the cleanser being too harsh. All those things are great!

but did it refine my pores? No. Not even close.

So whilst this is a great cleanser, and does all the things you want and wish for in a cleanser, it does not do what the bottle says. Infact the largest item on the bottle is "pore refining" This is disappointing.

The only other negative I had with this product is the fact it is very very runny. To the point I was starting to think I had ruined the formula somehow! But I saw another member had the same problem, so phew! I didn't destroy the chemical formula just because I like to have my shower at "burn layers of skin off" temperature!

I like foaming facial washes because I do have somewhat oily skin. This daily cleanser did pretty much what it was supposed to but didn't leave my face feeling OVERLY fresh feeling. I'd buy it if I was in a jam but there are better products out there.

I used my points to pick up the cleanser and exfoliator from this range in the vault, and had to go out and buy the toner too to really test out the range! Overall I did quite like the products but I didn't notice any kind of change in my pore size or texture so I can't say that they did what was promised. What I liked about this cleanser was that it is a foaming gel which I really like, and I felt like it did clean my face quite effectively. I also quite liked the scent which was slightly sweet and fruity but not at all overpowering.

Ive only been using it for a week or so but so far so good. Doesn't leave skin dry or tight and effectively removed even stubborn makeup.

I got this in the last beauty vault and I do not regret it at all. I use it every morning. The pump bottle is very easy to use, stable and reliable. The cleanser is a very pretty blue, I think, and smells sort of soapy, flowery and fresh. It's a foaming gel, and feels really silky soft. You only need the tiniest bit to work up a good smooth lather for your whole face/neck. This is why it's lasted me so long and I'm only about a quarter in. It leaves a sort of soft and silky feel to your skin after using it, but you definitely have to apply moisturizer right away. As for the pore refining... ehh. If it is helping it's very minimal and gradual. It's impossible to tell if it's doing anything. So it probably isn't. But it is a really great daily cleanser and I definitely enjoy it.

I purchased this with high hopes that it would help clear up my pores but it ended up drying my skin and i always had that tight almost painful feeling after using. worse, my skin was so dry i had flaky skin in my Tzone!

I purchased this on a whim, on my never ending hunt for something to minimize my pores - this was an impulsive and not so great choice.

The first night I used the product it dried my skin out terribly - to a point I broke out in a rash. I continued to use the product as I thought it was maybe something else, but the more I used the product the more it burned my skin, and the more irritated I was getting. I stopped using it, and my skin cleared up after 2-3 days. I again attempted to use this after 2 weeks or so, and it created the exact same reaction.

I have super oily oily skin, and this made me drier than the Sahara desert in Summer. No go!

As I get older, caring for my skin is very important! I love this brand, it's reliable and generally offers great products. I thought I would try this pore cleanser. I did not like. Maybe I cant get pass the visual of the product with it being blue. It just looked wrong, too cold! I didn't like the smell instantly, it smelt off, it wasn't . It dried out my skin, I gave it a chance and used it for a week. I also felt my pores looked no different, after this time. It made my skin feel tight, but not in a good way! Sorry, there are way better products for Pores out there. I wanted to like it!

I bought this in the beauty vault and have been using it since it arrived. Before I got it, my skin was coming up with acne around my chin/cheek area and I had noticable pores on my nose and across my cheeks. I have noticed a huge difference in the size of my pores on my nose, they are very small compared to what they started like. I also notice that my spots have all but gone on my cheeks/chin area and all over my skin is just feeling clean and looking heaps better. I really do love this product and it works so well with my Moisture Boost, they really do compliment each other on my skin. I am so impressed with how my skin is now and will be a faithfull Neutrogena user from now on. I will be recommending this to any who have issues with pore size.
