Easy to use and actually works!

Was lucky enough to get a sample of this beautiful balm, and on trying it for the first time I was so surprised that it took off all my makeup, including waterproof mascara! It also didn't leave a greasy feeling, just fresh, clean and ready for bed! Was very happy to find the next morning after cleansing and moisturising my face as usual, that my makeup applied easier, and has stayed on better during the day! And, this balm is the only thing I have done differently! Amazing!

Tips: A little goes a long way, but even if you use more it never feels too much!

Make-Up Be (Almost) Gone

I received this cleansing balm in the BRBB and wondered, was this the answer to my longwear makeup removal woes? Well, almost!

It comes packaged in a cute little pot and with its own face cloth (which was appreciated, I didn't really want to mess up my other cloths!). The fragrance is lovely, not too strong but still enough to make it feel that extra bit special.

The instructions say to just use a tiny bit, but I found that wasn't really anywhere near enough. Perhaps I have a huge face or something! I tried to get by without adding more the first time (I always follow instructions exactly when using products the first time, then improvise from the second time onwards if needed) but it wasn't melting it as much as needed, and I struggled to remove my mascara with it. I hoped that the cloth would take care of it though and for the most part it did, but when I went back over my skin with makeup remover on a tissue there was still very clearly foundation left on my skin.

Since then, I've been using quite a bit more product and massaging it quite liberally all over my face and into my lashes (be careful, it's not so fun on the eyeball!) which does help to melt it, but even then there is still foundation on the tissue afterwards. And this is regular foundation, not longwear.

I'll keep using it, but at this stage I don't think I'll be repurchasing.

Tips: Use a bit more than the instructions suggest, and go over your skin with a gentle makeup remover afterwards to be sure all traces of makeup are gone.

Perfect Mix for no panda eyes mornings!

Im in love! Im in love with this product! no doubts about it!

I Received this product in my BRBB, Which im over the moon i got otherwise i don't think me and this amazing product would have met.. you could say it was fate!

It came in a beautifuly designed wee box with the container of product and an organic cotton cloth. The container is nice sturdy so it would handle a few knocks about with cracking! The Organic Cotton Cloth what a genuis idea beacuse no one wants to wash there make up off and get the residue of mascara and foundation with a bit bright lippy all over towels especially if your colour coordination of towels is white and fluffy! Now on to the most important part.. the product it self! I love it, i love it, i love it! When you open up the container you can see the product is firm but with a scope of a tea spoon or spatula (Less Germ spreading then using your finger) it starts to soften with contact with the skin. You do not need much product at all! Once you start rubbing the product into your skin you can see it working, melting into skin and picking up that foundation, mascara and lippy! Then all is left to do is Wash with the organic cotton cloth and you are left with a super clean face, and all your eyelashes intact because you are not harshly scrubbing to get that waterproof mascara off!

This product is great doesn't leave you with a nasty oily feeling skin afterwards. skin is super soft!

The cloth stains after first use even when washed right away!

Tips: Great for removing stubborn mascara!!!! make sure you massage it into skin well before rinsing!

Nice texture.

I was super excited when I learnt about this product. I love Trilogy and this cleansing balm seemed like the next logical step for them to add to their collection. Comes in a pot and is a similar texture to their Everything Balm. Awesome ingredients and a divine smell. This product cleans really well but I still have to double cleanse. I prefer to use it on the weekend when I don't wear make up. Super easy to use and leaves my sensitive skin feeling clean and soft. No tightness that you can get from other cleansers. And...I don't need to use a moisturiser after. Although to be honest I'm not sure that anything would be absorbed as a very thin film seems to stay on my skin. Kind of like when you have massaged your skin with oil. I would recommend this to people who don't need to moisturise at night and for people with sensitive skin.

My new love!

This stuff is AMAZING!!

I was excited to give this a go when I noticed it in the recent BRBB, I have never used a trilogy product before but have heard so much about them.

First off it comes in a very pretty box which caught my eye from the very start, you open the box and pull out this pottle which is quite plain but that still doesn't take away from how amazing it is. In the box there is a little face cloth which is oh so soft and luscious it kind of rinds me of the soft little baby face cloths .

You unscrew the lid and the balm is realy solid, I scrape some away with my finger nail but you could also use a teaspoon which would work realy well. You don't need much at all, I probably use a thumb nail amount.

You rub it into your hands and it kind of melts instantly then when applyed to your face it sort of feels like your rubbing oil into your skin but your not left with that oily after feel. I was amazed by how my make up just disappeared, this has definatly got to be the easiest way to get rid of make up.

I'm also a little iffy with make up remover around my eyes (as they are quite sensitive and end up red and puffy sometimes) but I gave it a go and it didn't sting at all, infact I didn't even feel anything and my mascara just melted away.

My new favourite thing!

I loved this from the second I saw it - a very appealing colourful box although the pot itself is a bit plain. Then I have nothing bad to say about it. It smells nice, it's easy to use and it doses what it's meant to - mascara (even waterproof) just melts away! It has left my skin clear but not dry - even when washed off (even on the night I forgot to moisturise!). I don't think you need to use anywhere near as much as they say you need but that just means it will last longer! This is the only thing I will now use to take my make up off.

Tips: Don't use as much as they say you need - you can always add more if needed!

Mmmmm so devine

I was suoer excited to try this product when I got it out of my BRBB. I have never tried any of the Trilogy products so wondered if they were really as good as everyone says they are.

This sure was! The packaging is super gorgeous and luxurious. I like the container it comes in. Feels sturdy and able to with stand a few knocks in my beauty bag.

I was surprised at how hard it was very similar to coconut oil thats hardened. I scopped a small amount out into my fingers and rubbed all over my face. It melted away in my fingertips and it melted away my makeup too. I was a little nervous going near my eye makeup especially my eye liner but no need for the nerves it worked its magic and no sore eyes either.

I loved that Trilogy supplid a beautiful organic cotton cloth to wipe off the product. I use it in the shower and it all works just perfectly!

Tips: A teaspoon or little scoop to get the product out of the jar is a must. No transfering of germs or broken/dirty nails to get the product out.

It's gone alright

When I saw this in the September BRBB I was so excited, I wanted it from the day I saw a photo of it on Instagram.

It came packaged beautifully in a nicely decorated box with an organic cotton face cloth that is oh so soft, I'm picky about face cloths and normally only buy and use baby ones

The jar is plastic frosted brown with a black screw top lid, And once that lid comes of I can smell a delicious scent of sweet coconut.

The product itself is quite hard and rather than digging round using my fingers to scoop some out I use a teaspoon because ewww germs! So I scoop almost a teaspoon out and start rubbing it over my face and feeling it turn from a solid chunk to a liquid oil, quite fun really. I then massage it over my face and hold my fingers with a bit of the oil on them Over the eye area to remove stubborn mascara.

I wet the facecloth with warm water and gently wipe away the day, I am amazed at how quickly this melts makeup away and leaves no trace of anything not even mascara, it even got rid of the Halloween makeup in one go.

After I'm finished and have patted my face dry my skin looks and feels soft and glowy, I have dry skin and this seems to be making it feel so much softer. Even on non makeup days I'm still using it just because it makes my skin feel superb!!

Love at first sight

I think this is the product that I was most excited about receiving in my BRBB. I have tried the Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm and it was amazing. So to have something from Trilogy in a similar type of product would have to be amazing!

This comes in a wee box with the jar and a wee organic cotton cloth. The cotton cloth is really soft. I have heaps of white facecloths I usually use though from Kmart ($6 for 5 I think). The jar itself is nice too. Thick brownish plastic with a black lid, seems secure enough which is great. The Trilogy packaging is lovely though. I just think it looks so classy.

So obviously this is a thick balm product. I usually keep these types of products on the windowsill in my bathroom and find that they can sometimes melt in warm weather. This smells really nice, somehow a mix between rosehip and coconut. I can't really smell the mango that is in it. It is incredibly thick so it does take a wee bit of force when digging your finger in. You only need a tiny bit to put all over your face and as it warms up with the heat of your skin it really melts over which is really nice. You do need to use the cloth or a facecloth and hot water to remove this as it is quite sticky otherwise (I advise using your own facecloth as the one they provide is far too soft). But I really don't mind because afterwards my skin feels fantastic and smooth and clean. It doesn't dry my skin out at all. This also managed to get rid of my waterproof mascara which is pretty impressive!

I know that this wee tub will last me a really long time but when it has run out I will definitely be off to the shops to buy myself a new one (I'm eyeing up the ones in the vault)! Great formulation and does everything for my skin that I want it to.

Wonderful Balm!

I was super excited that this Makeup Be Gone Cleansing Balm was included in the September Beauty Box.

It comes in a plastic jar with a little unbleached Organic Cotton Cloth. I love the packaging. The balm contains mango butter, coconut oil and rosehip oil, making the balm smell so natural and delicious. The texture of the balm is very similar to coconut oil, you have to scoop it out with a teaspoon or a little spatula.

I scoop ΒΌ teaspoon of the balm and rub it all over my face. I could feel it melting into my skin beautifully and dissolving my makeup. I then wet the cloth with warm water, and gently wipe the balm off along with the makeup.

When it comes to eye makeup like mascara and waterproof eyeliner, it needs a bit of work to remove them completely. I apply more balm and keep rubbing using the cloth. By the time I finish, I end up having a really dirty cloth.

Overall, I am quite amazed at how the balm can naturally dissolves makeup without leaving my skin feeling dry or stripping it. There is also no oily residues left on my skin after using it.

Although I find it does not remove eye makeup as much as I would like, the balm smells and feels amazing on my skin. My skin feel clean, hydrated not dry like some cleansers can do to my skin. Oil is the best makeup remover. I love the fact that the balm is made with natural ingredients that do not irritate my sensitive skin. However, for the price of the product, I would love if it come in a bigger jar.
