This is a really thick oily balm with a texture quite similar to Vaseline. The texture was slightly off putting to begin with but it really melts of all your make up easily especially stubborn lip stains and mascara! It’s saved me many times when I’ve had a full face of make up on. If you don’t use warm/hot water and a flannel (it comes with a soft cloth) it can leave an oily residue on your face but this is avoidable if you take it off properly. I rub it all over my eyes to remove mascara and it has never irritated them, it’s very gentle and great for sensitive skin. I have incredibly dry skin and this is amazing for keeping it hydrated and not stripping your skin. If you have dry skin I would highly reccomend it. The product has a plain natural scent that isn’t really too obvious. You only really need a little bit- about a finger nail size so the one pottle has lasted me ages.

I received this product in my first beauty box that I purchased and was so excited to try it.
This is a really popular brand and the packaging was nice. It comes in a around pottle with the screw lid.
The Scent reminds me of your typical organic scent which I find pleasent. When you open it up it is a yellowish semi hard balm but as soon as you put some on your fingertips and rub onto your face it instantly melts.
Gently rub and circular motions all over your face and then wash off with warm water. I would say this product removes 99.9% of your makeup and it even removed my waterproof mascara.
This product is out of my price range but because it works amazingly well I would highly recommend it and if it was on special I would definitely purchase it again.
Tips: You only need a small amount therefore this product last you a long time.
I have always heard good things about this brand and have used their facial oils before. I seen this on shaanxo's videos a couple of times and thought why the heck not. Looks are deceiving in comparison to other make up cleansers as the tub looks small. But luckily the formula is very thick but a little goes a long way. There is no strong smell which is nice. I found the best way to used this is before you have a shower and wash of in the shower with warm water. You must work the formula in your hands and then into your face. I have recently tired this product again and love it still. This cleaner is a gentle on the skin and is not drying like other brands. I will definitely be re purchasing this before other substitutes

I got a mini jar of this as part of a travel kit, which i would also recommend. You do have to be a bit patient in colder weather as it can set quite hard and you have to warm a bit up on your finger tips before you can take your make up off. But it does an amazing job and even tackles a very removal resistant waterproof mascara that I own. For most make up a gentle application then remove with a warm face cloth is all that is needed. I haven't used the cloth that comes with the full size jar but an ordinary facecloth works fine. My full size jar has lasted more than a year of sometimes twice daily use and the mini jar lasts at least 2 - 3 weeks if you are travelling. And it doesn't leak which is a total bonus!
Tips: Don't use a pale coloured face cloth to wipe this off with as the make up goes into the the cloth and may stain!
This balm is amazing for remove make up, works really well, leave your skin so soft (I learned that a lot of make up remover leave your skin dry, well no this one) , easy to use and I love that they give you the little towel too! Really good product with the money!
Loving my Trilogy makeup be gone! My skin has been very dry lately and since using trilogy make up be gone it has really helped with my dry skin. It is very soft and oily to touch, but leaves my skin so soft and refreshed. You just take a small about on the tip of your finger and massage in to remove any makeup or even if you just wanting to rejuvenate your skin, take a warm flannel and wipe away! Viola! I love the way it leaves my skin feeling and a bonus no more dry skin, highly recommend
Tips: Make sure your flannel is nice and warm and just keep rinsing as if can leave an oily residue, which I didn't really mind
I got my first pottle from the beauty vault and absolutely loved it.
It comes in a nice solid jar and is a hard balm that melts when it comes in contact with skin. You just need a small amount on your fingertips and rub it into your skin to gently remove make up.
Then use warm water the wet the cloth that comes with it and gently remove the balm. I find you have to rinse it a couple of times to remove everything.
Your skin feels so soft and hydrated after using it.
I love to try new products but as far as a cleansing balm goes I think this one is the best. It feels so luxurious on the skin.
It lasts a really long time as you only need a little amount. It's quite a hard balm in the tub, but soft as it melts quickly on the skin so spreads on the skin easily. It has a lovely herbal scent to it, and feels so nourishing as you rub it into the skin. A warm face cloth easily removes the makeup and dirt with ease, and you're left with really soft clean skin. It's great on eye makeup too.
This is the most thorough cleansing balm I've come across so far, and while I do try other brands now and then, I always come back to this one.
I’m a little disappointed in this product. It does remove makeup and as only a tiny bit of the balm is needed it will last for a while but I really have to rub hard to get it to work. I’ve switch up between cleansing oil and balms to remove my makeup before cleansing so I’m used to how these products work. Unfortunately this balm does require quite a bit more elbow grease than any others I’ve tried and even when rinsed away (and after I’ve washed with a cleanser) it leaves my skin oily the next day, as I always do this step at night. Like all Trilogy products it smells great and has great packaging but I don’t think that’s enough for me to purchase this balm again. The face cloth it comes with is lovely though. It’s incredibly soft and works well in conjunction with the balm.
I was super excited to try this Cleansing Balm as I have heard rave reviews.
Packaging: Comes in a nice round glass jar, great on the environment as it is recyclable (well done Trilogy). Also comes with a little cotton cloth which is used to apply the balm. Great that it is washable so it can be used again.
Formula: The formula kind of feels like a mix between vaseline and coconut oil. It has a very greasy feel to it and not sure if I'm keen.
Scent or Fragrance: It didn't have a scent or a fragrance, it just smelt 'natural' I guess you could say.
Is it user friendly? Ummm I don't think it is because I found it a wee hard to get the cloth into the jar to get the product out. Just found it messy. Maybe I'm doing it wrong? lol
Does it do what it states? I think it did a really good job of removing makeup. I had to go in a couple of times to remove mascara and eyeliner but it did seem to do a really good job.
Would I purchase again? Probably not just because I found it irritated my eyes a bit as it felt greasy and oily. And for this reason I gave it 4 stars instead of the full 5.
