Absolutely love it

I really like this product regardless of the tiny cons I've witnessed. It doesn't have a pleasant smell to me, admittedly low key smells like some sort of detergent which at first was really unappealing, but I think I got used to the scent so it doesn't bother me anymore. The formula doesn't bubble or go sudsy nor sting my eyes at all. It also really helps keep my face super soft and leaves my skin clean, smooth, and ready for when I put on my overnight facial oil. If only it came in a 400ml version! Definitely ranking it up there on the micellar water scale as it is gentle on the skin, but still powerful enough to do what it claims. Highly recommend.

Tips: Use rounded or square pads not cotton balls when cleaning your face with this product so it will be evenly spread.

Gentle Clean

I was pleasantly surprised when I used Simple Micellar Water. I have quite sensitive skin and most 'gentle' skin products cause a reaction or, at least, sting when I use them. But Simple Micellar Water did neither of these. In fact, it felt like I was just using water on my face.

It was very effective - one swipe of the cotton pad and it was covered in makeup (of which I don't wear much so I was quite surprised with how much there was to remove!). A few more wipes and my face was clean and felt refreshed. This is definitely going to be a must have in my bathroom cupboard and travel bag!

Tips: Use more than one cotton pad for a great cleanse.

Gentle Cleansing

Prior to trialling this product I've tried micellar water but never really loved it. However this one was everything micellar water should be.

First up, the packaging. The bottle size is perfect - large enough that it will last quite a while, small enough that you can throw it in your overnight bag. The cap is a really sturdy flip-top, so it's easy to open, but not going to break in use. The bottle is clear so you can easily see how much you have left and when you need to buy another bottle.

I have sensitive combination skin so often products make me break out or sensitise my skin. This meant I was a bit nervous about trying this product (something you don't rinse off!). But I needn't have worried. I found the micellar water to be cooling and soothing on my skin, leaving it feeling clean and hydrated, as promised.

In terms of makeup removal, most days on this trial I wasn't wearing any makeup (a few weeks ago I officially declared it Too Hot for Makeup!), but yesterday I wore BB cream and mascara. The micellar water removed it, but it took three cotton pads before I felt my skin was clean enough for toner. The eye makeup, however, was removed very easily with a few gentle wipes. I struggle with eye makeup remover (everything stings or is so gentle it doesn't actually remove the mascara), so I would potentially repurchase just for that.

All up this is a nice little product. If you have sensitive skin and want to get on the micellar bandwagon, this is the product for you!

Tips: This is a very affordable $12 so throw it in your shopping trolley and your flat mates/other half will never notice!

Simply Clean

I like to use this micellar water either to remove a small amount of makeup from my face, or after cleansing to remove any surface makeup that I have missed. I Know it is gentle to use around my eyes, and I have never experienced any irritation from using it.

Recommend from teen to queen

Tips: Drizzle some on a face pad and swipe over your face.

Great stuff!

This the second micellar cleanser that I have used and I really like it. In a 200ml clear bottle, this cleanser is great at removing the days grime. I use it as a second cleanse when I wear makeup. ..but as the only cleanser when I don't. I think that if I used it as a makeup remover, I would go through the bottle very quickly. No fragrance and no sticky residue. I would recommend this for anyone wanting to try a micellar cleanser, especially if they have sensitive skin.

Love it!

This product is a God-send! I use it to remove all my make up, including waterproof and thick, waxy products, and it removes so easily and yet it's so gentle on my skin. I also did a side-by-side comparison with another supermarket brand's micellar water and Simple came out trumps. I also use this when I can't be bothered with a proper cleans or is I'm just needing a little refresher on a hot day.

Tips: Use with good quality cotton pads that won't fluff away on you for best results.

Removing daily make-up? Simple!

This was the first Micellar water I have ever tried - I was a bit skeptical about how 'water' could help remove my make-up, but I'd read fantastic things about it and decided to try it.

I am really pleased with how this product works! I have really sensitive skin (and I use virtually the full range of Simple products in my cleansing routine) and this was just as gentle as everything else. It had no noticeable scent which is fantastic - I personally dislike scented beauty products, right down to lip balms.

The only let-down I feel with this product is that it still struggles to remove my mascara. I'm not sure if that's just because my daily mascara is extremely long-wearing or if the product just can't cope with it. (I use Maybelline Lash Sensation for reference.)

Overall this has just slipped perfectly into my cleansing routine at night, it works well with the toner and moisturiser. So pleased I decided to give this a go!

Tips: A little goes a long way - use a small amount on a cotton make-up removal pad and swipe in upwards motions for the gentlest approach.

Simple But lovely

I purchased this particular micellar water as I have previously found simple products nice and had heard some average reviews on the garnier and loreal ones.

This is relatively unexpensive and comes in the classic "simple" packaging plastic, clear nothing fancy but that is ok.

The product itself has no real smell and feels wonderful and refreshing on the face and does not make you feel like you want to re wash your face after using it.

It does a good job of removing general face makeup but not eye makeup, so I tend to use an oil based eye makeup remover then follow with this, which I guess defeats the purpose of the micellar water.

I mostly use this in the mornings as a quick cleanse if I am feeling lazy or have run out of time to do a proper face wash, for this purpose it works well as I feel it cleanses and refreshes my skin without leaving any residue.

I will repurchase this because of how easy it makes mornings, but not as a makeup remover, I found it really struggled even with non waterproof mascara

Pure Face

I am a big fan of the Simple range as there products always feel so gentle on my sensitive skin. So I purchased the micellar water about a month ago and I honestly will never use another toner or makeup remover. This has replaced both of those for me. It is super affordable and I find that after using it for so long, my skin is much clearer and it takes half the time it usually does removing my makeup at night.

It doesn't have a strong chemical smell and feels super light on my skin. I use it in the morning with cotton pads to give my skin that "extra clean" feeling after I use my cream cleanser and at night with cotton pads to remove my eye makeup. It takes only two pads (one for each eye) to remove heavy eye makeup, rather than my usual four to five. And it never dries out my skin.

I love this product and I recommend it to ANYONE with sensitive skin that is easily irritated. This will definitely have a permanent place in my bathroom cabinet.

Tips: When using as a makeup remover apply a generous amount to one cotton pad and wait for the pad to absorb most of it then hold gently over your eye for 10-15 seconds. Then gently wipe away. This should remove the majority of your eye makeup and then just wipe away the little bit left behind with a clean wash cloth.

Pleasantly surprised

I didn't have high expectations due to my past experience with a product from the same brand so I was pleasantly surprised when it worked a treat on my oily sensitive skin. I only bought this because Garnier Micellar was sold out in my local supermarket and this was the only cleansing water available that I believed wouldn't cause my skin to react.

I've been using it for the past 2 weeks and I've had no signs of a rash, redness or dry skin which are sure signs of reacting to a product for me. It leaves my face feeling clean - I'm not too sure about "hydrated" because proceed with the rest of skincare routine which means more cleansing products. I probably go through 3-4 cotton pads to clean my face which doesn't bother me because like all cleansing water products I don't expect it to completely clean my face. I still go in with my cleanser and exfoliating cleanser afterwards.

I've used this with minimal and heavy makeup and it's worked really well. I can see the product easily removes the layers and I want to emphasise layers. It doesn't remove (say for example) all 3 layers of concealer, liquid foundation and powder you have on but it really makes a good attempt at it. I don't use this on my eyes or lips because my eye makeup remover does a better job of that than any other product I've come across.

With continued use I feel like this might actually take the place of Garnier Micellar. The only downside I have is the scent. Simple claims that this has no artificial fragrance - I wish it did. It smells like this flax in the islands that when it's soggy it doesn't smell too pleasant. It's not a disgusting scent but when I'm cleansing near my nose I always make a face. Apart from that I'm quite happy with it particularly because it's readily available in the supermarket for an affordable price.

great review, I'm currently using the garnier micellar water but I'm almost out and would like to try another one.
