Having previously tried the L'Oreal Paris Pure Clay Mask (Detoxify & Brighten) which is the same colour mask as the Detox Wash - I had very high hopes for the product as the mask had worked wonders.
The packaging is simple and works alongside the rest of the 'Pure Clay' range. It is easy to use and the product itself is a good consistency which means it is easy to control the amount you use.
The product has a typical clay smell and is charcoal in colour, it almost turns into a slight creamy foam when mixed with water. I washed my face in small circular motions avoiding the eye area.
Once rinsed off my face felt clean and fresh but it did feel a little bit dry which was something I was worried it might do. Once moisturiser was applied my skin felt good.
After using morning and night, I didnt really notice any improvements or any change to my skin, apart from the slight dryness once rinsed off.
Its an okay product but I dont think I will reach for it again, I have a few other washes that work better for me.
I got this clay wash in a BBBE.
It comes in a lovely green tube with a flip top. The product squeezes out easily. It is a thick green gel, and has a lovely smell. I've been applying as per the instructions, applying to damp skin, massaging in small circles, then rinsing. I have learned that the longer you leave it on, the longer it takes to remove.
I find it leaves my skin clean and soft. It says it detoxifies, brightens, and cleanses, and it does a pretty good job of all of these three claims. I'm going to use it every day until the tube is empty to see what it does over time, and will update at the end.
But so far I think that at $14.99 it is a good price for a good product of this type. Definitely worth a try.
