A micellar water like many other micellar waters

I think the yellow colour is a bit off-putting - yellow often means citric kind of ingredients which are irritating. BUT this ingredient list is actually pretty good (apart from the fragrance). It's got castor oil which is cool! I wear heavy makeup and found this removed it really easily and thoroughly - just like any micellar would, I would say. Maybe a bit less irritating than others. This one is just a bit more expensive for only 400ml.

Tips: I use a microfiber cloth with this micellar water before washing my face with the Dove sensitive bar.

Garnier vitamin c micellar water

Removes eye makeup really well. Haven’t used it enough times in a row to notice a brightening affect just yet. The smell is quite strong it reminds me of a face wash I used when I was young I think the nutrogena grapefruit one but the smell brings back memories!

Tips: Pour onto a cotton pad leave on eye or skin for a couple seconds then wipe lightly

Pretty standard micellar water

If you’ve tried any of garniers other micellar waters then you’ve basically experienced this one. They’re pretty much the same in consistency and effectiveness. Now that’s not a bad thing! They work as they say they do, and are a decent price!

The consistency is very liquidy, which I have never minded in the past but recently I’ve been using a more creamy and thick micellar product so in comparison to that I don’t love how watery this product is, as I feel like it leads me to use more to remove my makeup.

It smells great with the vitamin C, a citrusy smell that does make me feel like my face is more refreshed after use. I’m super clumsy and managed to get a lot in my eyes and that didn’t hurt at all either which is also a plus.

The packaging is pretty standard and easy to use, flip open the lid, pour onto a cotton pad and wipe off your makeup.

It managed to get off some stubborn eyeliner of mine pretty well, but I feel like I’ve used better makeup remover products in the past. It didn’t upset my sensitive skin whatsoever which was very appreciated.

Overall I think it’s about what you expect for the price, does the job and smells great.

Does the job

I have always struggled with Micellar water in the past, it often stung around the eyes and didn’t remove makeup as thoroughly as I would like. At the moment, because of mask wearing, I’m not wearing foundation but continue to wear eye makeup. I found that this micellar comfortably removed oil residue from my skin and didn’t cause any stinging when removing eye make up. And yes, skin does look a little brighter after use. It is easy to use, does what it says on the bottle and left my skin feeling clear and hydrated. It’s not my favourite removal / cleanser product, but it does the job.

Not as good as I hoped

I have used different versions of Garnier's Micellar water before, even repurchasing a few times for on-the-go makeup removal. So, I was excited to see if this one exceeded it. Unfortunately, it missed the mark for me.

Initially, I thought the product smell was nice, clean, and fresh, but when it was actually being applied it had more of a cleaning chemical smell to it. Sitting on my face, it wasn't hugely unpleasant, but I can't imagine myself wanting to smell it all the time. Secondly, the labelling does not mention the product being non-comedogenic, which as someone prone to pimples, makes me cautious about leaving it on my face. Then again, I wouldn't recommend leaving it on the face, as It felt a little tacky and not so great after the fact; I definitely would use it as the first step in a double cleanse rather than as a standalone cleanser. In terms of its makeup removing ability, it did the job. I didn't need to rub, just gently wipe with a cotton pad, but It would likely struggle with more stubborn makeup. I can't say if the Vitamin C did anything, as I would need to use it regularly for a lot longer, but considering I felt the need to wash it off after, the skincare benefits are likely lost after that.

Overall, I think it's an okay/average Micellar water, but having used a few of them, this is definitely not on the top of my list. It is probably best used as the first step for just makeup removal and followed up with a regular cleanser.

Ehh

I bought this makeup remover because the supermarket was out of the pink one and it still works but for removing eye makeup it kind of stings. It also makes my skin feel a bit tingly so if you have very sensitive skin I wouldn’t go for this one but would instead go for the original version with the pink cap and the clear bottle because it is less irritating

A light makeup remover that packs quite the punch

Having used the classic Garnier Micellar water, I had high hopes for the Vitamin C rendition. I was pleasantly surprised! I tested this product with varying levels of makeup, from a light brush of concealer to a heavy beat with eyelash glue and the entire works. I have to say, I was very impressed at how when applied to makeup, it disintegrated the makeup with the same level of ease that a stronger, balm/oil consistency would.

This product was also fantastic for actually helping my skin. I'd wake up with a glow that most other makeup removers don't really offer. It's an added bonus when it does the job and benefits your skin's balance.

The only downside of this product is that there is quite a harsh, chemical scent. It didn't set off my skin or eyes however, it certainly gave away the drugstore nature of the product.

Tips: I would combine this with a little bit of makeup remover oil for a really good scrub! Also, use a reusable makeup cloth or the removal brushes to ensure you're really getting everything off!

Basic Micellar Water

I had pretty high hopes for this micellar water, and I was excited about the vitamin c aspect of it. It was nice to use but very comparable to any other similar product.

The packaging on this product is okay, however the lid tends to break easily and leak.

The micellar water itself had a really nice scent, but for a cleanser/makeup remover, something with no scent tends to be gentler on the skin.

It did a good job of removing my makeup, but it left a greasy film on my face after using. If you were using this as a sort of precleanser/makeup remover it would be good, because you have to clean your skin after to get the film off. I did notice that it did an awesome job of removing eye makeup, including stubborn eyeliner which was nice.

Overall this product was decent, especially for the price. If you like scented products and you're happy to double cleanse, I would definitely recommend this. If you are adverse to scented products I would skip this one, and go for one of Garnier's other micellar waters.

Keep in mind that everyone's skin is different, and my experience may be different to yours!

Tips: Apply to a makeup pad and thoroughly cleanse your face, and then use a separate cleanser if needed.

Solid Micellar Water

The scent is beautiful not too over powering but pleasant, this removed my eye makeup well with no stinging or any irrations. I think this product is great for removing the bulk of makeup however it definitely did not cleanse my skin so it's great as a first step but I wouldn't use it alone I would go back in with a cleanser to further remove what the micellar water left behind. The formula didn't leave my skin feeling stripped it is actually quite gentle and no stinging at all. I think this one works just as well as any of the others the only real difference I noticed was the scent. I will definitely still use if anything because of the scent this one would be my top pick of all the micellar waters Garnier has made.

Good for removing non stubborn makeup

I love that this is cruelty free! It has a nice light fragrance and is really good at removing makeup, but not so good at removing mascara. The brightening vitamin c sounds great, however I haven't noticed any brightening affects. But maybe I just haven't been using it long enough to see the effects. I love that it leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean and not dry at all. It's great for those times you're feeling lazy or are in a rush and don't have time to wash your face properly! It's also great value for money so you can't go wrong!

Tips: Might pay to use an eye makeup remover alongside this as it's not so great removing mascara.
