Swisspers Micellar & Rosewater Wipes Reviews

As someone who has never missed her skincare routine every night for the past couple of years, the Swisspers wipes had a lot to live up to!

My first impression of the wipes was that it was thicker than your average wipe. Not rougher in texture, but definitely more dense - I could compare it to a very thin cloth or thick Kleenex tissue. In terms of the smell, it's not.. pleasant. I immediately thought of moth balls (if they were slightly rose-scented).

Ever since receiving them I've been exclusively only using these when taking off my face at the end of the day which is SUPER hard for me as I never feel like wipes alone can completely remove makeup/cleanse your face(-and this sentiment stands true)! In the first couple of days I noticed a few pimples and whiteheads pop up randomly on my face which was a hugely discouraging, but I persevered and stayed committed. Thankfully those pimples went away... only to be replaced by new ones (though to be fair, my pimples are never super bad and can be easily covered with concealer if I so desire to).

Regarding the removal of visible makeup, I think they do a pretty decent job. You can clearly see traces of eyebrow pencil, bronzer, concealer, and lipstick all on the wipe after I've finished completely rubbing my face with it. I wore Toofaced's waterproof mascara to test the theory and it sadly did not remove all traces because the following day, post-shower, I had slight panda eyes.

In conclusion, do I think it truly removed and cleansed a day's worth of makeup and grime? Definitely not. Would I use it again? Yes, but not as a sole makeup cleanser. I think it's great for when you just want a quick fresh face or need to wipe a makeup boo-boo. Nevertheless, Swisspers has done a decent job and I applaud them - although I think the "just stepped out of a day spa" is more placebo than factual.
