My BF actually had this one so thought I would use it aswell. It was okay, Just one of those cleansers that kind of washes but doesn't get right in there and deep clean or make you face feel fresh, and smooth. But I guess it's not really marketed that way - it was very gentle and great for my sensitive skin, so I guess it did do what it said it would do. But I want a little more form my face wash. something that I feel really cleans and refreshes leaving my sin feeling soft too.

When I used this product, I felt like it didn't do much. I felt like it wasn't really cleaning my face. I would use a make-up remover and then wash my face with this and then use a make-up wipe afterwards and make-up residue would still come off! Eeek. I would recommend this if your skin is super sensitive and you wear minimal make-up. This would even be great for someone young just starting out with a skin care regime as it's really good size for the money you pay for it and it's really gentle on the skin.
This used to be my go to cleanser, but after a while as my skin got more sensitive, this stopped doing the trick. Then I started hearing that it was really just as bad for your skin as anything else. I have found other really natural cleansers that feel much gentler on my skin.
I got this for a bargain and only hear good stuff about cetaphil so i was excited to try it.
It cleaned my skin really good but it was to creamy for me i couldent tell that it did anything for my skin at all. Dont think i will be buying it again.
I bought this in hopes it would help with my acne. Unfortunately it did nothing for me. It was nice and creamy and didn't have a fragrance which was nice. It would be good for a teenager with teenage acne rather than an adult with hormonal acne
I have sensitive skin so my dermatologist recommended this product. It's not great at removing makeup, even lightly applied makeup - every time I've tried it, I'm left with a slightly greasy film, and my makeup has hardly been removed. So I've had to use a foamy cleanser first then follow it with the Cetaphil Cleanser, and that seems to work ok.
I want to like this product, it's so popular and developed by dermatologists, but I can't get over the pharmaceutical smell and gritty bits.
The product is light weight, liquid with gritty bits. I find the smell overpowering, thought I can't place it so I refer to it as pharmaceutical. It's not pleasant for me. I also find I need to clean my face twice to get the foundation off, which is double the time to clean and deal with the product. Although I do like that's it fragrance-free, still there are many of other fragrance-free facial cleansers out there for me.
I keep giving it a try (about once year) as the product does last long, and it doesn't dry my skin.
I guess not all beauty products are beautiful to use :P
I was given this by my doctor to help with acne but it didn't change anything.
The only good thing about it is that it's gentle but you may as well only clean your skin with water. I have sensitive skin but it only affected by a little amount of products or things I'm allergic to (obviously). I'd only recommend it if you had intensely sensitive skin and wasn't sure what causes it.
It doesn't do anything really and smells very odd like the dentist. The packaging is flat and large too.
The price overall is just a bit much for something that does nothing...
Despite all the rave reviews, I found this cleanser a bit slimy and wasn't too cleansing. My skin didn't really feel any different after using it, and sometimes felt like it didn't give it a good clean.
I'd use this if I have absolutely no cleanserse available on me, but I most likely won't use it again.
I purchased a small bottle of this to trial, and although it seems to cleanse well, it stings my skin. Not crazy stinging, but enough that I don't feel like I want to work it in or leave it on my skin any longer than absolutely necessary. Although this stinging can be due to irritation and sensitisation from using Tretinoin, I won't be repurchasing this product for use on my face. Its fine when using it on my neck and decolletage (I use a much weaker retinol on them) and don't experience the same irritation and stinging in these areas.
I won't be repurchasing this as I need to find products that are compatible with my skin as it adapts to using Tretinoin.
My husband uses it and doesn't experience any stinging, although he says it can sometimes leave his skin feeling a little tight.
