Wow..

I have very sensitive skin and have always been a creamy cleanser girl. I was very impressed how the Nivea mircellar water worked! No stringing, was quick and very easy to use and removed my makeup! I would use again :) Thanks

Soft, light and beautiful.

I got the chance to review Nivea Sensitive Caring Micellar Water. It's beautiful, it's light, feels like a dream and is perfect for removing the makeup and grime of the day. I have very sensitive skin and most cleansers make me red and blotchy and dry my skin, and this one has kept my skin flawless. Highly recommend to anyone with sensitive skin. It's truely a dream.

Tips: Don't use paper towels like me, definitely use makeup pads and it would feel like a silky velvet cloud.

Would use again

I was really excited to try this product as I have sensitive skin around my eyes. It's easy to apply and doesn't dry your skin out. I felt it did a reasonable job taking off my makeup although I did have to scrub a bit to get my mascara off.

It also made my skin around my eyes tingle. Not enough to be painful or annoying but it was noticeable.

This product doesn't have any smell and its fresh and not oily.

I would use this again as the product does work and is very cheap compared to the shisedo eye and lip makeup remover I currently use. (Surprisingly the shisedo is one of the only products I have found that don't irritate my skin)

Nivea Sensitive Caring Micellar Water

This product promises to remove eye make up gently, cleanse deeply, remove make up effectively and moisturise to help reduce redness, dryness and tightness. I have used this product for two days now. This product did remove my foundation and eye make up fairly easily. I did have to a rub a little on my eyes to get eyeliner and mascara off. This caused some liquid to go in my eye, this stung quite a bit. Afterwards, my dry skin does not feel moisturised. There is still my normal after-cleanse redness. And my skin feels like there is a small residue, feels like I should be washing my face again.

This product has an odd scent from the grape seed oil I assume.

I will continue to use this product morning and night to see if my skin feels more moisturised with continued use.

For the price, I would say this product is worth it even without the moisturising and other affects. It does take off make up quite easily. This 200ml I think will last a really long time, you don't have to use much product at all.

Tips: Careful around your eyes.

Actually Sensitive!

I have sensitive skin and usually use natural skin care products as other products, even those claiming to be 'sensitive' usually cause my skin to sting and dry out. Needless to say I was a bit sceptical of Nivea's 'Sensitive' claim on the Micellar Water.

So when I first used the Micellar Water I braced myself for the expected sting - it didn't come! What a pleasant surprise.

What was even more of a surprise was that, after three and a bit days of use, my skin hasn't dried out either.

While I don't wear a lot of makeup, the Micellar Water has done a great job of removing the amount that I was wearing.

All in all a great product that surpassed my expectations.

Soothing on my sensitive skin

I was excited to get this for a trial, as I'm always looking for gentle, easy-to-use cleansers on my sensitive skin. Note - my skin isn't *extremely* sensitive, but does react with rashes and redness to certain products, but it didn't to this one. Which is great! I usually use a BB cream and mascara during the day, and this product seemed to remove these well. However, when I wore more makeup - primer, foundation, bronzer, highlighter, and eyeshadow, + water proof mascara with non-smudge lipstick in the evening - it took a lot more work to get them off with the Nivea Sensitive Caring Micellar Water. It still worked, but it just took more time and extra applications. I ended up using a cleansing towel afterwards to get the excess off. However, for a quick and easy end-of-the-day light make up removal, it's fabulous, non-irritating, and left my skin feeling clean and soft afterwards.

Tips: If you want to use it on heavier make up, I recommend using a cleansing towel afterwards to ensure any excess make up is removed.

So Much More Than Water

OK so when I got this, I was skeptical, as it does, literally, look like water in a bottle. I opened it up and smelled it, there is no chemical smell whatsoever, good start. I took off my face makeup first, I could see it was working already, then for the real test, the eye makeup. My eyeliner came off in one swoop, but it took a few more passes to remove my mascara, then I waited for the tightening of my skin...there was none! No irritation or tingling whatsoever, I was so pleased. This is so much better than other cleansers I have used in the past, I thought the best way to remove makeup was good old warm H2O and a facecloth, but now I stand corrected. I will definitely be using this from now on, bonus points for being available at the supermarket for a good price.

Good for a surface cleanse

I've been religiously using this virtually every day since the end of December last year, and finally got it empty 2 days ago. It's very lightweight and is usually only around $8 for 200ml which is decent.

I believe it is a great daily cleanser for basic or light makeup, and is super easy to travel with. However, when it comes to waterproof products it definitely does not remove all traces as it left me with tragic panda eyes. You will likely need an actual face wash, then go over your face with this product to remove all makeup which defeats the whole purpose of micellar water.

All in all, for people who usually only use light makeup, this would be a great option for you as a daily no-fuss cleanser. For those who wear foundation and mascara every day, this probably isn't for you. Personally, I only ever do a full face of makeup on special occasions, so this product was perfectly fine for me.

Tips: use a cotton pad first to go over your entire face, then a second one to make sure everything is cleansed.

Very light but not for me

I picked this up when New World had a 'buy two Nivea Products and get an electronic face cleaning brush free' promo. I'm in love with Garnier Micellar Water and figured (seeing as my face likes Nivea) that this would be as good. For me, it isn't. It's not a disaster, but it's not a success for me.

Nivea Daily Essentials Sensitive 3-in-1 Micellar Cleansing Water comes in a simple clear plastic bottle with a white flip cap at the top, and blue and purple writing. It's a sweet little package and looks nice on the shelf. The clear bottle is great for determining how much product is left.

The product is the typical thin 'water'. It's virtually odourless, and (disturbingly) foams quite a lot when you shake it.

Nivea claim that this will 'cleanse deeply, remove makeup and moisturise in one step' and this claim isn't true for me. I have combo skin that can tend towards oily, and get the odd breakout. I find that this doesn't remove my base or eye makeup completely, even after 2-3 times. It DOES feel lovely on my face, both during and after use, but I feel like I could get a similar effect from tap water. I even used it to try and get makeup off a mirror and it didn't budge it. After how successful the Garnier one was for me this has been a huge disappointment, unfortunately.

While it's great that the product is free of parabens, colours and perfumes it does need to work for me to consider repurchasing it and unfortunately, for me, this doesn't.

Nivea are usually pretty reliable for me and this won't put me off the brand - but I won't try this again unless I see the words 'new improved formula' on the bottle.

Tips: I've taken to keeping mine in a spray bottle and using it as a face spritz. It's actually pretty refreshing that way :)
