SugarBaby Bronze Radiance Instant Glow Wash Off Bronzing Cream

I was lucky enough to be chosen to trial this bronzing cream by SugarBaby. I am naturally very pale, and I burn easily in the sun, so tanning is a no-go for me. So if I want to add a bit of colour to my body, it has to be from fake tanning products. I have used several fake tan products over the years, and I was interested to see how this would work out, especially as I have never used any products from SugarBaby before.

The SugarBaby Bronze Radiance Instant Glow Wash Off Bronzing Cream comes in a cream-coloured tube which stands on its lid. The tube says that the bronzing crème is “safe for sensitive skin” and that it is made in Australia. It also says on the tube that it contains “natural fragrance”, that it is “against animal testing” and that the product’s prime ingredient is organic coconut. It also states that it “Contains no parabens, no phthalate, no mineral oil, no formaldehyde, no sulphates, no synthetic fragrances, no animal ingredients.” The tube is 200ml.

The product itself is a shimmering bronze colour, which you squeeze out of the flip lid. The product is easy to apply, either with your hands, or with the SugarBaby tanning mitt. You need to wait until the product it is dry before dressing. The product dries quickly though, within five minutes of application. One drawback was that it did rub off a little on a light-coloured dress I wore after it had dried.

Because I am very pale, I find that a lot of tanning products look very dark or orange on me even if I do a very light application. This bronzing crème gives a very light and natural effect. It is about one degree darker than my natural skin tone, so it does not look like fake tan at all. It does not look orange either. It does not feel dry on my skin, and in fact has a moisturising effect. It does not have a fake-tan odour either, and it did not irritate my skin. It appears to wash off easily, without any scrubbing, as it seems to disappear in the shower the next day.

Altogether, if you are after some subtle, natural colour then this is a great fake tan for you. If you are after stronger colour that darkens your skin by several shades, then you will be disappointed by this. This is one of the better fake tan products that I have used. I would definitely consider using it again.

This is a lovely rich cream, really hydrating and deliciously scented.

It looks dark upon application but as you spread the product it lessens and finishes as a shimmery bronze. It's kind of that healthy glow you want with a bit of pizzazz.

It washes off well, you don't need to scrub hard, just wash as usually with your shower puff.

I've marked this down as it did transfer onto my clothing - not much, and it was on the weird hot Easter weekend, so maybe a sweat thing?

Otherwise this is an amazing product, highly recommend!

I used to absolutely COVET the original formula from like 10+ years ago. It was the only fake tan that a) worked on my skin and b) looked good. Also it smelled like HEAVEN.

I tried this one for new years and I was disappointed. It wouldn't adhere to my lower legs (below knees) which is a common problem I have with tan (didn't have a problem with the old formula though, and yes, I know how to prep for tan!). I think this would work for people who have an existing tan to build on it and add shimmer for special occasions. Also the new packaging is a bit of a nuisance. It's quite messy. When you close the lid, it smooshes out product so you have to clean it off before you put it back on the shelf, otherwise it'll stain the surface.

I loved this product since I opened the package! The packaging is super appealing and gorgeous. It feels and looks luxurious. I also got the tanning glove which the bag is super cute. It was so exciting to open these! The tan smells amazing - I really like how it hydrates your skin while you're being tanned - skin feels really smooth, healthy and definitely glowing after application and it drys very quickly. It applies easy and gives a natural, flawless, even glow on the skin and it is instant! Will be using every time I go out and need to tan as you don't have to wait for the tan to build up colour it happens instantly and then it washes off in the shower, ideal for like a party or dinner to add into the beauty routine instead of having to do it the night before and walk around waiting for it to dry. I do worry with wash off tans that if you get a splash of water it will look horrendous and streaky so I tested it - I found no streaks or spots and just patted my leg dry with my hand and no problems. My only concern about this was a little bit doesn't go super far like I am used to with tan. It is quite thick but in my opinion you would get a good 4-5 full body applications from this bottle. Overall I absolutely loved this product, would recommend it and it will be my go - to instant tan from now on

I tried Sugar Baby Bronze Radiance on a few body parts and had no negative skin reaction....which is as expected from a product that sells itself as clean, kind and vegan.

I have very white legs with feckles and first used by rubbing on with my hand. The bronze colour looked bizarre and made all my feckless stand out more than ever. Definatley not using on my legs again! A fake tan moisturiser, albeit with a slightly nasty smell, has given a far better result on my pins.uu6y

I then used a little on my arms....and the effect was totally different. Maybe my arms are a different off white than my legs. I actually love the look on my arms.

Next I tried to apply with the G-Love. This was an easy process and the velvety texture glides over the skin. But where does all the product go? The glove sees to eat it up and I would say a less economic way to apply, but that may be the trade-off for a great result.

Sugar Baby certainly is bronze in colour and does have a sparkly effect on the skin.  This does make it look obviously fake, but some people may like this look.

The smell is subtle. I am a big coconut scent fan, so was looking forward to a hit of coconut. It is there in a gorgeous discreet way. And the creme felt gorgeously smooth on my skin thanks to the shea butter and coconut, almond and macademia oils. Luxurious!

My biggest negative is the lid closure. I hated the way the cap closed. It always seemed to flick more product out if absolutely not cleaned off around the area before closing. I had some flick out onto my carpet...which luckily is dark and thankfully the only benefit I can see for being single use, it washed off the carpet again with a damp cloth.

There definately is transfer of product from skin to clothes, even after you have allowed time for skin to be dry to touch. I would expect it to wash out quite easily from your clothes (but I have not tested this).

This bronzing creme is amazing. I love the fact there is no real smell with this just a pleasant hint of coconut. This is so easy to apply, particularly when used with the glove and goes on nicely. The colour left on my skin was gorgeous and had a lovely glow to it. I love that it dries quite quickly so you can apply it last minute and dress soon after. The fact it washes off easily when showering is a plus , no need to scrub here. The only down side is that you need to be careful not to put it on the likes of heels that are dry as the skin sucks up the colour too much. Not sure how it would go with swimming, but would be easily reapplied.

What a great option for those lazy days when you can't be bothered tanning head to toe, but still want a little bit of a glow. As someone who is very pale, this product is so easy to use and gave me such a wee boost of confidence. The colour isn't too dark, just enough to make me look more alive, and so smooth to apply. My skin was still super smooth and hydrated by the end of the day, but I will say that I needed quite a lot of cream to get a good coverage.

I’ve tried this for a couple nights now and can safely say I’m a fan! It smells lovely and, especially with the mitt, applies easily and evenly. It’s a very natural looking tan, not orange or streaky, and my only qualm was that it wasn’t quite as dark as I would like. That being said, I haven’t tried layering it as much as I possibly could so will try that next time.

It also washes off easily which makes it perfect for using for an evening out or event.

Great concept, Design of tube was ok wasnt keen on the flip lid as really had to squeeze tube to get product out although you could unscrew the lid and squeeze product out. Product was quite dark and nice consistency. Applied same way I applied previous tanning products by sweeping up my arms and legs then rubbing in circles was very easy to apply and blend. Applied with the Sugarbaby tanning mit (also part of the trial - see seperate review). I lightly applied and it rubbed into the skin easily looked good on arms but not that tanned on the arms and legs though. The product glistened on the skin. Dried after about 10 mins but I left it alot longer than that before getting dressed as i was applying makeup. More or less as soon as it was applied the product rubbed off onto my smartwatch band and back of watch and had transferred to my clothes. Noticed product glistened nicely in the sun when i was out but hoped it would have been darker considering the colour it came out. Left product on overnight and noticed next morning it had transferred from my legs to a pillow I use to sleep with between my legs. I also had to keep a cover on my sofa to avoid transfer. Showered the following morning, exfoliated, applied alot more product to arms and legs to see if it came out darker but feet looked patchy with a very bronze shimmery look which looked odd so wasnt happy with that. Also reapplied some product over a part on my leg i thought i missed but it seemed to wipe product away and left a white patch so decided to put trousers on but arms looked natural and tanned so was pleased with those. Was great on my face once I applied my makeup over it made my skin look bronzed so was chuffed by that. When you apply you need to get it right first time, hopefully without missing any parts, but suggest letting it dry and apply again which i will do next time. One thing really frustrated me the product came off on my white towels once applied to hands so towels looked a mess and i wasnt prepared to change them daily. It also was on my sheets and clothes but did wash out, I probably would purchase again but it didnt exceed my expectations. I also thought it was very pricey considering the above. I may try another similar product

I was lucky enough to receive this instant tan from beauty review and I must say once it arrived I was a wee bit unsure . It was relatively easy to apply especially with the mitt I got with it . Because it was instant tan you could see where you had put it . It was pretty and shimmery which I liked . When I asked my family and friends they said it looked really nice and I was definitely more tan than before. I think this product will be great to put on my legs when I’m going places that I havent made plans for but I probably will continue to fake tan as I don’t think I would like to put this on my whole body as I get sweaty and I would be afraid to sweat the lotion off.
