Average

I love the smell, but the beads are a bit too abrasive for my skin. It did leave my skin feeling clean but also a bit "stingy" when I moisturised afterwards.

St Ives Exfoliating Apricot Scrub

I bought one of these from the supermarket for about 7 or 8 dollars, after hearing only good things about it. Firstly, as it is a 400ml bottle, it is huge! So will literally last you for ages. I am not normally one to scrub every night, so bought with the intention of using a few times a week only.

The packaging is nothing fancy, but the smell is absolutely divine (as you would expect from an apricot scrub). The texture is a gentle sugar-like scrub, but has enough grit to remove all the dirt.

The only thing that is preventing me from purchasing this again is that I had an allergic reaction to it sadly. I must have the most sensitive skin considering it is supposedly a natural product. I was so gutted that I couldn't continue to comfortably use it (I did stick it out for about 5 or 6 washes to see if my skin would adjust to the scrub), but my sister-in-law was more than happy to take mine, and has had great results from using it herself.

Tips: I personally steer clear of gritty loofahs and gloves as I believe the scrub itself has enough grit to remove all the dirt!

Also, do not use on the face, definitely a body scrub only.

It's ok

This product smells amazing, and it does exfoliate quite well, but I never found anything super amazing about it. My skin didn't feel any better for using it, and the only lasting impression it left was that it smelt as though I could eat it. I wouldn't recommend it, but I also wouldn't say anything bad about it.

ahh the memories

i remember this from my teenage years. i remember taking massive globby handfuls of it and slathering it on myself. was it wasteful? yes. was it glorious? also yes.

the smell is very fresh and fruity but at the same time its also a bit.. meh. nothing about it stands out to me in this day and age. back in my tween years this was muchly coveted and you knew you were in the bathroom of someone cool if they had this or herbal essences in the shower.

the exfoliation side is a bit meh as well, i found i got a better scrub on using my loofah but maybe that was just me. the scent sat on my skin for a little while but it was immediately gone the minute i opened my moisturizer.

my skin felt average after using. it was soft yep but i didn't feel moisturized or hydrated. i did feel like my skin had a slight glow to it because of the scrub though, which is nice, and i find that happens after every time i use a scrub so points for that.

for me there are far superior scrubs out there, but this was nice in my heyday and it's a swirl down memory lane when i see it in the supermarket.

Tutti frutti

St. Ives is a great brand that I know and trust. This Apricot Scrub is magnificent, and I love how it contains 100% natural jojoba beads making it as gentle on my skin as can be! The gentle exfoliating action leaves my legs and arms feeling smooth and smelling like sweet, juicy Apricots.

Tips: Use four times a week as it is gentle on skin

So-So

I love the smell of this product and the fact that the beads are gentle enough not to scratch my skin. The only downside for me is that my skin reacts to too much use of it and then I don't get the full potential of the scrub. I would use it if my skin had calmed down a bit but it seems to be sticking to being extremely sensitive so unfortunately this is not the product for me.

Gorgeous Smell

Love the smell of this bodywash, but didn't find it exfoliating enough on a shower puff so used it with exfoliating gloves. Does leave my skin a bit tight so probably won't purchase again

Gentle exfoliant

This was my first exfoliating body wash. It has a really pleasant fragrance, and the exfoliation is not harsh at all - in fact, you can't really feel it. It really is more of a body wash than an exfoliator.

The product has a lot more chemicals than the description suggests. Yes, it does have natural ingredients, but there's not that many, and aside from water, they're pretty far down on the list (which is arranged in quantitative order). However, it's reasonably cheap and easy to find.

Meh

I used this a while ago as I have dry skin as well as ingrown hairs on my arms and thighs. I really LOVED the smell, but I found I had to use alot to make it actually do what its made to do. So, I ended up going through a rather large bottle very quickly. I don't feel it was worth the price I paid. I feel as if it could have someone exfoliant in it to make the job alot easier. On a postive note, It didn't dry my skin out further, and didn't cause abrasions on my skin (like what happens with pumices stone). I use the apricot face scrub whenever I wash my hair (2-4 days), and find that is effective. I don't think i'll be rushing out to buy it again though.

Love it

I love a good body scrub, and this one was nice and gentle, didn't cause any irritation and smells lovely, would definitely recommend. Packaging was on for this or did the trick nothing fancy be when your flip the top and pour some out you don't have any leakage or spills. This is reasonably priced for a supermarket scrub and won't break the bank to try it out :). I thought I would try this as it sais 100% natural and I have very sensitive skin am normally careful in what I try. This caused no irritations or sensitivities for me. It was a light formula with small  little beads. If left my skin feeling clean and fresh albeit a little on the dry side.
