Bought a full size

I received a trial size with a purchase and was so surprised!! I suffer from eczema on my elbows and this really helped with the dry skin and clearing it up

Tips: Applying in the mornings and prior to bed. Usually lasts the entire day

so spendy!

one year for christmas i decided to buy myself a l'occitane advent calendar. i knew nothing of the brand, only that they were expensive and i knew at one point in my lifetime that i wanted to try their products. luckily, the calendar was on special, taking it from some ridiculous price and making it more "affordable" - i think it was roughly $100 when i bought it, a much nicer price to pay than the $190 it was marked as.

the small sample i got of this was in a squeezy bottle, which was annoying as i had to leave it stored upside down to be able to get anything out. its a white cream, and not as thick as i was expecting, but man was it richly hydrating.

the smell was a bit off putting, but i found i didnt really like the smell of any of the l'occitane products - they were all a bit nannery. like a normal smell hit with a bit of talc or something which ended up overpowering my senses. i didn't hate it but i wasn't a fan.

my skin felt hydrated and smooth and soft all through to the next day, which is something i'd expect from a product that costs so much. i feel like there are less expensive products out there, that smell much better, that do just a good a job. so while i was excited to try it, the smell and price just have it sitting above a 'meh' in my list.

Everything you want in a body cream

This is the most luxurious body cream I have ever used. It smells great, keeps my legs moisturised for about a day and leaves my legs super soft with a nice moisturised but not greasy feel.

The only thing I am not loving about it is the price. $78 is not cheap. I do however think that 200ml would last quite a while and L'Occitan is not a 'cheap' brand. Also not loving that technically L'Occitane allow their products to be tested on animals (as the brand is sold in China). If they stopped selling in China or the rules around testing in China changed and there was no animal testing, I would pretty much have no reason to not buy this again!!

Ultra Rich Goodness

Shea Butter as an ingredient itself is well-known for its moisturizing & nourishing properties - this cream is proof of it! This is such a beautiful product which keeps your skin soft all day long, perfect for use in any type of weather

Tips: If you find this cream is too rich for you, try their Ultra Light Body Cream instead.

Rich and creamy

This is luxury in a tub and it leaves the skin looking amazing!!! This was a gift and when I saw that it was “Shea” I was really excited as I normally love this scent but the smell in this left me feeling sick. It is such a beautiful cream and my skin just drank it up but I just can’t get over the smell which really annoys me as I want to love this product so much. I definitely need to find a store and try out the other fragrances. If you don’t mind the scent then I would definitely recommend it even with its hefty price tag.

Nice enough

I received a sample size of this in the L'Occitane Christmas Advent calendar and although I'm not usually a body cream sort of person I thought I'd give this a go. This is in the 15% version so it is more of a lotion than a cream.

I'm not a lotion person as it is an extra step that I usually can't be bothered using. Also I absolutely hate waiting for things to sink in. So in some ways I'm letting you know to take my review with a grain of salt. This is a nice cream with a soft scent, as with most L'Occitane scents it is a wee bit old fashioned and powdery scented, but isn't over powering. This does sink in quite quickly and is beautiful to use.

Although I do like this lotion it is quite expensive for what it is and I would probably recommend just purchasing something from the supermarket that could do the same job for a lot less money.

The lotion of the product

The lotion has different levels of percentage in how rich it is. I have the lowest one with 15% that is in a pump form. Which is fine for me because I use it as a moisturizer for night time. So I don't want it to be too strong (mixed-sensitive skin)

I absolutely love it, its easy to spread because its not as thick. I can feel the softness of my face and neck. Its wonderful. Totally recommend.
