Great results for such a small sponge

I love love love these Konjac sponges. They don't look like much when you first open the packet but I am in love with them. I have this in charcoal, red clay and pink clay I think it is called. I was lucky enough to get these for $10 each and I have been getting some really good results. If you do have bad breakouts, it probably won't get rid of them with just water but if you add your normal acne fighting cleanser to it, it will do the trick, this is what I do with mine. The texture is like a sea sponge, super soft and squishy, it feels heavenly and I love it so much I just end up massaging into my face for a long time and have to stop. Its small enough and compact enough if you want to take it with you if you go away anywhere. Simple to use, easy to dry, as you just rinse when finished using, and then air dry it. They last for about 3 months, but if you really look after it, it can last for a lot longer than that. So for the price and the results it gives you, definitely worth it.

Can you use it every day or would that be too much??

They are really good hun and if you purchase them from Hikosencara, they were only $10 at the time and the shipping is super cheap. As long as you look after them as directed on the packet, they will last you for ages. You can use with cleanser too

Ive seen these at shows and fairs and have been almost tempted to try - but a little sceptical! Cool to hear how good they are though :)

They're definitely worth it, but everyone reacts differently to a product so I guess its just trial and error. I love them :-)

I'd wondered what the hype with these was about but they sound amazing.

Uncertain

I bought the natural Konjac sponge after seeing ridiculously amazing reviews online and after using it for a while I have to say I think they may be a little over hyped.

In saying that, I did really love it when I first purchased it but only in combination with my regular cleanser. The sponge itself is actually hard like pumis, but softens up when you wet it. It offers a really gentle exfoliation but like I said, I had to combine it with my cleanser to get the results I was after.

If you have fairly normal skin, don't suffer many breakouts and aren't looking for a super thorough cleansing then this product would probably be amazing for you - particularly people who are concerned with natural skincare or maybe an older lady who doesn't want to be using anything that might age her skin.

I probably wouldn't repurchase this only because I found as it wore down I began to see less results, alongside the fact that it didn't really do what it said (cleansing without use of additional cleansing products)

I think you definitely need to find the one that matches your skin to get the best results (on the website it says the properties of each one) and I was told to never use it with any products, just water. Also don't use it to remove makeup.

Yeah, definitely. I found it still cleaned my skin without the cleanser but no where near as well. Just depends how thorough a cleansing you want!

I have always wondered if they are to be used with your normal cleanser. it sounds like I can use it without for a normal clean & then with for a full on deep clean. would that be right?

Konjac Sponge

I purchased this product after hearing that it does wonders for your skin - including dealing with breakouts, blackheads and whiteheads. I was told that you need to soak it in lukewarm water until it was soft and could be used without scratching the surface of your skin. It feels absolutely amazing after being soaked - and even better when you're massaging your face with it. After I had used it the first time, I was amazed at how soft and supple my skin felt. It had cleaned all the built up oil off my face but at the same time, my skin still felt hydrated and not dried out. I also love how they sell different ranges according to your skin type. If you are looking for a natural and effective way to cleanse your skin, definitely give this one a go!

Tips: Always leave this out to air dry in a well ventilated area after each use, otherwise it will ruin very quick

It really does make your skin feel really soft aye. And I love the squishy feeling when I'm massaging it. I thought I would get put off by that, but I actually love it and find it hard to stop using it, feels so good lol.

Konjac Charcoal Sponge

My oh my was I excited to try this sponge; I had read and heard such wonderful things about this innovative product I just had to give it a go. I purchased the charcoal sponge that was the best fit for my combination skin.

Firstly I found that using this product on its own with no cleanser did not work very well for me, I didn’t get that clean feeling that I am used too. When I used with a cleanser I found it worked very well at exfoliating my skin by removing dead skin cells and also leaving it clean and supple.

The sponge has an interesting texture, very squishy and collagen-like if that makes any sense! I really enjoyed the way it felt against my skin and found that I used the rounded side for cleansing all over my face and the corners for cleansing around my nose.

After a solid months use I noticed that my blackheads/whiteheads were slowly disappearing and that my pores were perhaps a tiny bit smaller and less noticeable. My T Zone was less oily than usual and my skin just generally felt heathier.

I think the biggest benefit with this product is that you tend to wash your face for longer and more thoroughly when you are using a product to aid in cleansing. When using my hands to cleanse my face it is easy to give your face a quick once over and rinse, when using a sponge I noticed that I definitely paid more attention to my face and particularly areas on my face where dead skin builds up.

Highly recommended, easy to use and an effective

Tips: For the first few weeks I completely stopped using my exfoliator which I usually use 3 times a week. I found although the sponge is exfoliating it did not replace my exfoliator so I used them in conjunction with one another and found this gave the best results.

Blown away by Konjac

I absolutely love my sponge. I have the small sponge in blueberry which has antioxidants and collagen. I was really skeptical when I first saw this product at an expo but I was offered $5 off so I figured why not. I have found that my skin is so much softer after using my sponge and it visibly reduces my blackheads. I've noticed that if I don't use it my skin is noticeably duller and my black heads return. I've now had mine for a month and apparently it should last 2-3 months if cared for properly. I will definitely be purchasing another one.

Tips: I have heard people have found theirs disintegrate after a few weeks, my trick is to make sure you squeeze (don't twist) the excess water out of it and then hang to dry.

Love it

After the first use my skin was GLOWING. I had recently done a nose strip for my blackheads, they usually come back after a couple of days but its been a week and i still don't have any! I bought the charcoal sponge and i love it. I use it with water alone after removing all of my make up.

An awesome product

I have been using the Charcoal grey sponge for 3 weeks now and I have to say, it is incredible! I have really oily skin and from the first week I noticed a decrease in oilyness on my T Zone. I shower at night and now wake up in the morning with normal skin (instead of a complete oil slick), and even during the day I think my face produces less oil. I have yet to see a massive reduction in pore size, but I am hopefuly this will happen with continued use. I use it 50/50 with my normal cleanser or on its own.

Tips: Make sure you sqeeze all the water out before hanging it up to dry - I leave mine in the shower and it tends to stay damp (it was damp when I took it out of the package) but the more water you can get out of it the better. Still not sure if there is a difference between the flat side and the round side?

Konjac Sponge

I purchased this a while ago after I heard all the hype like many of us did!! I have the charcoal one for acne and blackheads. Im not sure if it's all that its cracked up to be. To me it just felt like an every day sponge. Using it with my African black soap or just my facial cleanser it did the job of a gentle exfoliator without the use of harsh chemicals or rough beads so definitely good for that. I like that it is natural!! Anything to help the environment and reduce the use of plastic bead exfoliators so we can help save the little fishies. So its okay! Nothing incredible for me (I tend to prefer a harsher scrub.) But if you are looking for a gentle, natural, plant based substitute to your current exfoliator, the konjac sponge is your answer!

Tips: It is mentioned already but make sure to research all the different types to find the best one for your skin ie. Charcoal for acne.

little puff of magic.

I purchased too of these at the recent Women's Expo. The charcoal one for my youngest daughter who has been having acne flare ups, and a sensitive one for me. My girl looked very skeptical when I gave her the one for her, and I could see her thinking "really mum?", however she gave it a go and is really pleased with the results. Her skin has cleared up really well and is now looking freash and calm. The one I got for myself is lovely too. I can't remember the name of the active ingredient but it's a type of clay. I usually don't like to exfoliate too much as it tends to aggravate my skin, but this magic little ball seems to cleanse and exfoliate to just the right level. I usually clean my make up off with a cleanser, and then use this for my second cleanse at night. I use it on its own, but my gitl uses hers sometimes with and sometimes without a cleanser. My skin looks softer and younger and it hasn't aggravated any sensitivities.

Tips: Buy in bulk.

I emailed the company but no response. They are sold on ebay and things for $1, so just wanted to be aware of the difference between the two! Thanks for your reply :D

Miracle sponge.

Honestly. I didn't believe the whole water only konjac sponge. But you wet it and it goes super silky like no other sponge you would typically get for face washing. You don't need cleanser with this as the sponge has its own antimicrobial agents going on. The absolute beauty of it. I like to buy 3 at a time as I replace it every 8 weeks or so. It's a natural face washing sponge. What's more better than that?

Tips: ALWAYS ALWAYS dry completely after each use. Hang it up, don't let it sit and drip. Make sure to squeeze out all the excess water and then hang in a well ventilated area to dry COMPLETELY before putting it away. I recommend a little soap container if you can't hang it up and leave it on the windowsill to air dry without excess moisture getting to it.
