I won BR's competition for the huge Dedicated to Nature prize pack at the end of last year, which included Dedicated to Nature Grapefruit & Mint Body Scrub as well as their Grapefruit & Mint Body Butter.
After being horribly disappointed with their Strawberry & Chocolate Body Scrub, I was a little apprehensive to use this but when I opened the 100g round screw top tub expecting to be met with yet another visually unappealing scrub with absolutely no smell, I was rather pleasantly surprised. This one actually has a citrusy grapefruit aroma and looked exactly like I expected a body scrub to look - thick and grainy!
I scooped some of it out of the tub with my fingers and rubbed my hands together before applying it to my legs. It had a good texture but the exfoliating sugar particles "melted" really quickly on damp skin, there really isn't enough time to get in a good exfoliation before the sugar dissolves. It says to apply using circular motions, but once I've done one circular motion, the sugar is practically gone! I've tried drying my hands so that only the skin on my legs is damp but even that doesn't seem to help much.
There is a very subtle mint scent that comes through while attempting to exfoliate with the scrub and the product rinses off easily. Unlike the Strawberry & Chocolate one, there is no chunky residue left floating in the bathwater.
It's a lot more visually appealing than their Strawberry & Chocolate Body Scrub and definitely smells a lot better. It actually has a smell similar to the name on the tub!
Would I purchase it in future? No. I've used sugar-based body scrubs in the past that actually hold together a lot better and allow me to get in a decent exfoliation before dissolving.
Tips: Use as little water as possible on your body before applying the scrub!
