Dove Beauty Bar Review

I don't usually use bar soaps as I prefer liquid soap as I find they dry your skin out. But this wasn't the case with this dove bar soap. I found this soap moisturising and it doesn't dry your skin out. This soap is very delicate and gentle on your skin.

When lathered, the soap has a creamy and foamy texture that feels very soft against your skin. It cleans your skin well and removes all the dirt and bacteria for a fresh feeling. It doesn't strip the natural oil away from your skin like other bar soaps do. The smell of this soap reminds me of body lotion. It has a subtle fresh and delicate smell

This bar soap has a very simple look. The bar is a pure white oval shape with the word dove imprinted in the top. The bar is easy to hold and use while you are in the shower. I have small hands, so sometimes I find the bigger bars harder to hold and they tend to slip out of my hands in the shower.

Overall, I like the moisturising properties of this soap, and for this reason I would purchase this soap again.

In love I converted to dove soap about 6 months ago and I'm so glad I did. I bought mine from the warehouse 5 for $5 so very inexpensive. Dove soap lathers on in a creamy but bubbly consistency. It smells great not strong or overpowering and most importantly it doesn't dry out your skin like other soaps. I found when drying after I've showered my skin felt soft and moisturised not tight and dry. So this is what I will use for good no more gel washes

I usually use body lotion but I saw this on special and decided to give it a go. Soaps can be very dehydrating on my skin & cause issues with rashes etc due to perfumes but no such problems with Dove. It lathers fantastically, smells great but isn't too overpowering, didn't irritate my skin. It didn't dry out my skin, and left it feeling silky smooth. Loved that it comes in a cardboard box that can be recycled. It's cheaper than body washes but slightly more expensive than regular soap, but seems to last a lot longer than regular soap since it lathers so well, you don't need as much. I would definitely recommend, great for the whole family.

Well to be honest, I don't really notice the difference between soap. There's nothing wrong with it. It doesn't hurt or smell bad so there's that.

My husband and I have been using dove for years as we both have sensitive skin. I never have dry skin and I'm not a regular body moisturiser. It doesn't irritate and it has a neutral scent so it doesn't clash with any perfume/cologne or deodorant you put on after your shower. I'd definitely recommend to others.

I love solid soap bars and I buy this soap mainly for the fragrance and how it feels on the skin while in the shower. It's not a life-changing product but it always has a place in my bathroom. I buy the soap when they're on sale at The Warehouse for $NZD1.00 and I stock up on 10.

It comes in a simple cardboard box with the Dove logo which is also embossed on the soap. I only use the soap on my body; never on my face because I have sensitive skin and I have never liked the thought of putting soap on my face. It's the standard size and fits nicely into my hand.

It lathers up nicely and the fragrance it gives off under warm water is like clean fresh linen mixed with spring and bit of talcum powder - just delicious to my nose. I tend to get carried away and just stand there and keep lathering the soap because I can't get enough of the fragrance.

I feel the "moisturising properties" are more so limited to the shower. My skin feels moisturised and soft but afterwards I don't notice too much of a difference. This doesn't bother me because I moisturise my body a lot nowadays however for those hoping to avoid moisturising afterwards I don't think this is the soap you're after.

This soap is always in our shower, never leaves your skin feeling squeaky like some soaps do. Nice fragrance and doesn't react with my daughters sensitive skin. Always lathers up beautifully and the foam is lovely and creamy. Can't beat the price either!

I have been using this soap for ten year. Try different solid soap but I always come back to this soap. I love the soap shape and fragrance. Other soap after use your skin makes tight but never happen with this soap.

Okay before I even start this review, I'll tell you that I am a shower gel girl 95% of the time, and soap doesn't really have a place in my shower unless it's lush. The only other soap i consider using is this one.

This soap comes in a wee cardboard box, the soap is a smooth oval shape with dove printed onto the top of the soap.

This soap smells amazing, it just smells fresh and clean and that's a smell I love!! I know, who would think a soap would smell clean, but this just has the best clean linen type of fragrance mmmm.

I personally find this soap lathers really nicely. It creates a gentle lather which i really like and when your using it.. it smells even better if that were possible!

I find this soap doesn't dry my skin out, but it definitely doesn't make it feel more moisturized either so that's probably a side of this product that doesn't meet up to its claims. Other than that it is a nice basic soap to have in your home.

This is the only product from Dove that i make a conscious effort to repurchase.I buy it from the warehouse when they are $1 ... because that's a bargain. Overall, this soap does the job and smells amazing. Its not an amazing soap, but I would repurchase.

I have used this soap on and off over the years. I mainly use shower gels now. But it still sits pretty in my guest bathroom. Its a white oval shaped soap with an embossed dove on it. Looks really clean (if you know what I mean?) and pretty.

I used it with my gloves. Very creamy lather and smells divine. Leaves my skin feeling silky but I still have to moisturise it later. I guess it depends on skin types. This was a luxurious brand back home and I used it to wash my face (bad habit) but didnt notice a marked difference. Just an overall softness-which might have been down to my youthfulness :-p

Also leave a fresh scent on your skin for a little bit.
