Xmas dud

No smell from this one unfortunately or very little. Not the best from Lush considering other bath items are usually great. Left a bit disappointed in this one. Cute enough, just very little essential oils I think.

More crash than dash

I bought this in a gift box during the Boxing Day sales and have only just gotten round to using it. I have a huge stash of bubble bars that have been hanging around awhile and need using but on this occasion I just felt like a bath bomb. It's not a big as some bath bombs and due to my over abundance of lush products, I used the whole thing.

The smell of this was lovely when I unwrapped. Citrusy but with some warmth to it. I dropped it in the bath and oh no! Another sinker! Like other reviewers, I expected it to whizz around the bath due to its name. But nope. Sunk to the bottom and very slowly fizzed. So slowly that I got into the bath whilst it was still doing its thing. I couldn't wait any longer.

It emitted a dark orange colour with a hint of red. Sadly I really couldn't smell any fragrance once it hit the water. It did however leave my skin lovely and soft. I didn't apply any body lotion afterwards and really I didn't need to. My skin still felt moisturised the next day.

This obviously was a limited addition for Xmas. I probably wouldn't repurchase anyway as I've come to expect a more spectacular show from Lush bath bombs.

Not a fan

I know Christmas is long gone but before Christmas I completed a haul of Christmas related bath goodies that I have only just gotten around to using. This one included.

The dashing santa is pretty cute, looks like a running santa claus. He smells really sweet and citrusy and promises to fizz and dash about your bath. He doesn't really dash around the bath at all and he does fizz a bit... but not much. In fact it took a long time for this to disolve. Leaves the bath a tinted red shade which is a bit weird.

As usual with a Lush bath I left the bath with lovely soft feeling skin. This one didn't stain my bath at all but I haven't had that problem with many Lush bath products lately. I don't think I'll buy this again if I had the opportunity as the scent didn't really do it for me and was very faint.

No oomph in this one!

Anyone that knows me, knows that Lush is my life. I need all the pretties and this of course would mean the limited edition stock, especially bath bombs. The Dashing Santa is uber cute and who wouldn't love a little running Santa.....I dooo! Soo in my order this one went, three times over.

As soon as I got them I needed to use one that night. It was bigger than I thought it would be and not as intense in colour as depicted. That was my first disappointment but it was nice to have size for value of money. It smelled amazing, sweet and candy like. I plopped it in my bath and waited for the magic to begin. I waited and waited. All that happened was a weird orangey red colour filling the bath. I couldn't even smell the sweetness of it while it was immersing itself in the the hot water. It was litrally just a orangey red bath. Where was the magic of santa? Where was the magic I was used to when it came to Lush bath bombs? I was left utterly disappointed.

The one positive I can give this bath bomb is that it left my skin ultra soft and smooth. I would never buy it again that's for sure. I would however buy it for my son. He loved the fact that it was red and it was Santa. I gave the others I had to him because seriously they are a waste of my time and don't impress me. One of the very few bath bombs from Lush that I dislike alot.

Tips: Scrub your bath or you will be left with a red ring afterwards

Not Quite As Dashing As I'd Hoped

The way Lush's Dashing Santa bath bomb is marketed, you expect a bath bomb that wizzes around your bath tub. Well let me tell you right now people, it does not. And while I didn't really expect it to, I did expect it to be a high energy fizzy bath bomb. Which it wasn't that either.

When you put the dashing santa bath bomb in the bath, you see streams of red and gold slowly coming out and floating around in the water nearly. To get the bath bomb to really mix into the whole bath, you have to wait ages and/or agitate the bath water.

What I did like was the citrus smell. It wasn't as strong as I'd hoped but still a lovely smell. I also loved that Lush used a traditional santa model and his golden boots were a pretty cool colour to add to the red bath water.

Overall however I was disappointed.

My hopes were dashed

I love Christmas, I love the different scents that come out i want all the pretty things.

When it arrived wrapped in its cellophane suit, it looked quite cute. It's about the size of your palm and an inch thick.

I pop it into the bath and watched as the red foam came bubbling to the surface, this turned the bath to a light shade of red, complete with lustre a bath bomb isn't a bath bomb without lustre. The scent is very mild I can only pick up a slight orange citrus scent but nothing I can really define. And because it was on the smaller side I didn't really notice any difference to how my skin felt afterwards or notice any scent linger.

I think this would be perfect for kids, especially if you have wee'uns that like to copy mummy, and feel a bit special. I wouldn't use it again myself because I prefer the more powerfully scented bath bombs.
