Natural but not that nice

I bought this body wash as I'm currently trying to incorporate more natural products into my life. I tried it quite a few weeks but I'm not really liking it as much as I would have hoped. The smell is nice but it doesnt really foam enough for me and I felt it dried my skin out a little. I also didnt like the smell very much. This product is not for me but it might be what someone else is looking for. I dont think I can get myself to recommend it though.

Smells so good

I have been trying to use products with less chemicals in them and eco store products are great. I use the coconut and vanilla body wash and it has an amazing smell, although i can't comment on the other body washes as this is the only one i have tried, but would recommend coconut and vanilla!!!

Eco Store Body Wash

I had to try this Eco Store Body wash because I was curious about using a more natural type of Body wash. This body wash can be accessed in stores or online. This Body wash claims that it is plant based, with gentle cleansers leaving your skin soft and clean.

This body wash comes in a white bottle about 400 mls worth of product in a bottle. I like this scribble pattern featured on the front of this bottle. It has a normal lid that opens and closes. The scent that I chose was orange and patchouli. It has a herby kind of smell. The consistency of this body wash is like a clear gel.

On application this body wash lathered on my body really well. On the bottle it recommends that you use a cloth to get a good wash and use of your body wash. I tried this with my shower puff and it worked very well.

This body wash is about 8.95. I do think that its a bit pricey for a 400ml bottle. If it was a litre for 8.95 I would be happy to pay that. I got mine on special for about 6.99 at Pack and Save. I thought I would try it to get an idea of what its like. I thought it was ok.

Clear Conscience with Body Wash

I love ecostore products as I try my best to use products not tested on animals whenever I can. I find this body wash works great for me...it doesn't lather as much as other brands of body washes I have used so I tend to use a bit more soap each use than with other body washes. Other than that a great product :)

Tips: I would recommend using this if you have eczema as the natural ingredients should keep it at bay.

Coconut and Vanilla!

Firstly, the packaging is really simple - which supports its brands image of being natural. It's a simple white bottle with the lid on the top, but this can be annoying for the last bit which is more difficult to get out.

I have mine in Coconut and Vanilla. The body wash comes out a clear gel-like consistency and it smells really nice! It's not too overpowering in my opinion and really gives you the idea of paradise (because, hello, coconuts = sunshine and beaches).

I find that it lathers quite well, which was surprising as I didn't expect a gel to lather so well. I find that it does lather better when using a pouffe or exfoliator rather than just using hands. It doesn't strip your skin of it's natural moisture, and I feel like it does cleanse, nourish and condition the skin well. Even though I moisturise after (because my skin gets a bit dry in winter), I feel like it's moisturising enough that I wouldn't need to in summer.

While some people may like a shower gel which lathers a lot, and while this doesn't lather quite as well as though, I find it's enough for me. I also like the fact that this is shower gel is natural, so I can be reassured that I am using good things on my skin - which is important as your skin absorbs most of the things that you put on it!

I also find that while it's a bit pricier than other supermarket body washes, it's worth it and I would definitely repurchase.

Tips: Sometimes they go on special which is a bonus! Coconut & Vanilla is amazing - can't comment on other scents as I haven't tried them. Use a pouffe :)

Love love love

I love everything about this body wash. The packaging is the gorgeous simple clean design that is Ecostore. As soon as you flip the lid you can smell the gorgeous scent of coconut and vanilla. This definitely works best applied with a cloth, or shower puff, since it doesn't contain sulphates it doesn't lather as readily as other washes with them in. But if you use a puff then you still get an amazing lather with it. The body wash itself is lovely and silky, and leaves you feeling and smelling amazing. It is definitely a bit pricier than other bodywashes on the shelf, but this one probably lasts longer than the others, and you can feel better for going for the cleaner option with ecostore!

Gentle cleansing action with some lovely scents

I use this body wash all the time. It is gentle but effective - I find it removes excess oil, deodorant etc but without my skin feeling stripped. It has a nice thick consistency but don't expect the luscious foam of a product made with the usual detergents. I'd rather have less foam and know I'm having less of an impact on the environment anyway. I like all of the fragrances - coconut & vanilla, rose & cardamom and orange & patchouli. They even have a fragrance-free version though I haven't tried that one. I don't think that this product nourishes and conditions my skin, but then I wouldn't expect a wash off product to do that - that's what I use my moisturizer for!

Tips: If you wear Jo Malone's Velvet Rose & Oud, the Eco Store Rose & Cardamom body wash works well with this perfume for scent layering.

Wouldn't be my first pick but nice

I like that this is more of a natural plant-based product with no nasty chemicals. The packaging is simple but still attractive. I do wish it had a pump – I really prefer a pump body wash in the shower.

The coconut and vanilla scent is nice but subtle, not overpowering at all. I prefer a stronger scent but this would be great for those who find strong scents off-putting.

I found that because it didn’t later as well as other body washes I have used I tended to use more than I normally would to get a good lather. It cleansed my skin without striping or causing my skin to be drier than it usually is.

I personally find $8ish to be quite pricey for 400ml of product however… so I probably would choose something else over this product if it came down it. Good basic body wash however.

Great body wash for dry sensitive skin

I just happened to buy this when I was away on holiday and had forgotten body wash but it is something I will definitely repurchase. I used the ultra sensitive one as I am quite sensitive to smells and also don't like a lot of the strong scents therefore this is always the safest option. The product itself is quite slippery/silky feeling on the skin which I like and this means that a little product goes a long way. I have only just finished my bottle after having it for a year (but while using a couple other body washes as well). So I do believe it is good value for money.

I used to have eczema and I found switching to sensitive body washes and washing powders has made it disappear, which is great!

Tips: Use a little amount of product as this will go far. It is not a lathering product so don't make the mistake of using too much product just because you can't see it on your skin.

Smells very coconuty.

Firstly I love Eco store products.I love what they stand for and are great for sensitive skin. I decided to buy this as I have become more conscious about the types of products I am buying and I am opting where I can for more natural based ingrediates. Therefore I had high expectations of this product but it just wasn't for me.

The product is housed in the typical Eco Store packaging. It is a 400ml white bottle, a typical size for shower gel. It comes out quite runny and it is easy to pour too much out if you are not careful.

I found the smell very coconut, not really smelling much vanilla. The smell remained on the skin and I found it rather unpleasant. While I did feel clean it left my skin feeling a bit drier then if I had used my previous body wash (Body shop) and I couldn't get past the scent left on my skin.

Overall it cleans well I am just not a huge fan of the smell. No I would not repurchase this product.
