I got this face mask as a treat with some Airpoints dollars that hubby had collected. I'm glad I did because it is lovely. I use this once a week and apply a generous amount with a brush. I don't wet my face first. I leave it on for 10-15 mins and when I wash it off my skin is visibly moisturised and looks great. This mask smells great and has a lovely thick creme texture to it. It doesn't dry out so isn't uncomfortable after being left on for a while. I was surprised when I got it how big the tube was and it's lasted me for ages using it once a week. I will be repurchasing this when I run out that's for sure!

Tips: Applying this with a brush gives a nice even coverage.
This is a lovely, gentle and hydrating mask. It is a thick, cream-coloured cream that applies smoothly and doesn't dry and feel tight or itchy on the skin. It leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated but it doesn't seem to make a difference as a spot treatment (which is a suggested alternative use).
I was given a tube of this when I was researching natural skincare products that specifically used Manuka Honey as an ingredient.
You can't beat (medical grade) Manuka Honey as a skincare ingredient, so combining this in a completely natural skincare product offers all skin types a great, healing treatment.
The only big dislike I have about this product, is that it comes in a metal tube. The tube creases up easily (really not great to travel with), which not only looks awful, it also made it difficult to get the last of the product out. This put me off quite a bit.
The mask itself is a great product. It's a pale yellow/cream colour, and has a fresh, soft scent.
My skin is quite dry/sensitive, so the nourishing properties of this mask really appeal to me. It applies more like a moisturiser, and doesn't dry out on the skin over time (although I found I needed to apply quite a generous amount initially, as it my skin did soak it up quickly).
It's really soothing and hydrating, and left my skin feeling soft, calm and refreshed. As for using it as a spot treatment, I'm not sure it gives the immediate effects that you tend to expect from such claims.
I apply a generous layer after cleansing and exfoliating, and leave it on for about 20/30 minutes before rinsing off with a warm cloth.
I would recommend this to anyone, but in particular those with dry, sensitive and/or inflamed skin. It's a lovely at-home treatment.
Tips: Try leaving it on overnight for a really deep hydrating and healing treatment. Cleanse in the morning as normal.
I have acne prone skin which can be oily, but also very dry. The healing properties of the manuka in this mask really helped clear up my blemishes and my skin felt well moisturised afterwards without feeling oily. It doesn't dry up when you wear it, so I use it as my lazy face mask that can be left on to watch tv without having to wash it off. I found that with regular use the product was more effective.
Tips: Sometimes it can be hard to wash off afterwards, so I would advise using a face cloth to really get at it.
To begin, I was incredibly confused with applying this, as dumb as that makes me sound. As it said to apply a thick layer, but because the product is relatively thin, I was unsure if I was meant to layer it up or not. In the end I chose not to layer it, and it didn't take away from the results...
Now that that is out of the way.. I LOVE this mask. My skin feels amazingly supple and smooth afterwards, not to mention intensely hydrated! I wasn't familiar with masks like this, as I had only used clay masks before, so was not prepared for the amount of time you have to wait before removing, however, it's definitely worth the wait!
Not to mention, it smells heavenly! Made me fell like something sweet to eat!
I really felt like the manuka honey in it acted as a great natural "antiseptic" as I noticed that in the week following use of this mask, I never get any form of break outs.
Because you have to wait at least 15 minutes before washing off, I only tend you use it once a fortnight or so (as I don't have the patience) however this is all this mask needs to do its thing!
Tips: Don't be intimidated by the instructions of adding a thick layer, it works just fine with a thin layer!
I had my eye on this mask for quite a while but had not come around to purchasing it as I already have sooo many masks, but i caved in and got it anyways! And im so glad I did!
Some people say they use it as a night cream every day, but I prefer to use it as a mask. About twice a week I squeeze out about a teaspoon (maybe more...) amount onto my fingers and layer it up on my freshly cleaned face. Then I go about my stuff as usual and wash it off after about 20 minutes. Instantly your skin feels so refreshed and hydrated and sooo soft and smooth.
The mask itself has a sweet smell similar to the antipodes avocado pear night cream. It has a medium creamy white consistency, thicker than moisturisers.
I do not suffer from acne but do get pimples and blemishes from time to time. The mask hasn't done much for blemishes however it is nice and soothing on them.
Overall I am pleased with the product. It looks and feels amazing on your skin, however not entirely sure if it it worth the hefty price! Will only repurchase if its on special!
Tips: You can use it as a spot treatment as well, just apply a layer onto your blemishes and let the mask do the rest!
I'm onto my second tube of this delicious face mask, and can't say enough good things about it!
My (usually combination) skin has become incredibly dry and dehydrated over the winter time leaving it all flakey and miserable. I've found that this mask has not only helped to hydrate it and bring it back to life, but it has also become less red and blotchy.
As a spot treatment, it has been an absolute life saver to me - healing pimples practically overnight. We're talking those big beasts that would normally take forever to leave, too!!!
I'm currently using this once a week, but this mask is so gentle that it could certainly be used more often if needed. A true miracle worker!!!
Tips: Dab onto pimples and leave as an overnight mask to heal quickly.
I was introduced to this product by a friend who used it and now I'm converted! It has a mild sweet smell, and a thick creamy consistency. Easy to smooth onto your skin and doesn't go all tight as it dries. You can leave it on for 20 minutes or overnight, either way it leaves your skin feeling so soft, smooth and hydrated when you wash it off. I haven't tried using it on spots / blemishes when they have come up, but then I don't get a lot, Usually if I get one it's because I haven't used the mask in awhile.. oops! It is a little pricey but I find it lasts awhile & does a great job so worth the price! Best mask I have ever tried.
love this mask so much. wish i would use it more often... skin instantly feels refreshed - clean and glowing. So easy to apply, and drys off into a thin layer (almost feels like its absorbed into skin, like a moisturizer would) and super easy to take off after 12-15mins. If I am in a hurry i would wipe it off with a makeup removing cloth otherwise comes off easily when washed with water.
I have a tube of this lovely face mask, it's in a easy to use tube just squirt a bit out, quite hygienic to use as no sticking your fingers in it. It says it contains 100% avocado oil and pohutukawa bloom so it's loaded with antioxidants. I can smell the vanilla and honey (yum) quite a heavenly smell. It's a beautiful cream that is easy to apply to your face and neck. It's not greasy and it's a light cream that's quite soft to apply. I do put a reasonable amount on as my skin does soak it in quite a bit. So on the down side of that a tube doesn't last me long. It's not a mask that dries and tightens, it stays quite moist so it's quite pleasurable to leave on, no feeling uncomfortable and trying to wash it off in a hurry. It says it's the ultimate solution for spots and blemishes, in that department I haven't noticed anything, I have stuck some on the occasional spot but nothing overly noticeable happened, no amazing vanishing. But it's a delightful indulgence in a very moisturising face mask. It's lovely but I find it quite pricey as it doesn't go far.
Tips: Cleanse your face first and apply it to slightly damp skin.
