Thanks BR for the opportunity to trial this cleanser. I have never used anything from CeraVe before but had heard amazing things about a few of their ranges. This product arrived at the right time as I was breaking out a lot. Like all CeraVe cleansers it comes in a plastic rectangular container with a pump. The shape works well as it doesn’t take up too much room on my shower shelf and the pump makes it easy to dispense without making a mess. The product itself is a white gel like texture and foams just enough to make your skin feel clean without drying it out. While I haven’t noticed a huge decrease in oil production it does leave my skin looking smooth and I have thoroughly enjoyed using this cleanser. It is definitely the best cleanser I have tried at this price point . I would definitely recommend this cleanser to anyone with oily , acne prone or combination skin.

I have been using the CeraVe Blemish Control Cleanser for a few weeks now. I really enjoy how clean and fresh the cleanser makes my skin feel after using it. It helped reduce the size of a couple of my acne spots, however it did not clear them up entirely. Overall it is a good product and I would use it again in the future.
This gel to foam cleanser has 2% salicylic acid, hectorite clay for blemish control, niacinamide to smooth and calm the skin, plus ceramides to balance the skins natural moisture barrier. It has a slight earthy scent which I didn’t at all mind (I figured it must be the clay). When I first used it I was impressed that it didn’t leave my skin dried out like most cleansers with actives in them. It actually felt balanced on my combination skin and I’ve been using it daily so far for the past couple of weeks.
I would say this is absolutely perfect to anyone who has oily to combination skin or even gentle enough for teenagers to start out.
Typically I get hormonal breakouts from time to time so don't have a great amount of blemishes and my skin is fairly normal mostly. I used this gel to foam on my damp skin with about a half pump from the handy dispenser. I love a product with salicylic acid and this contains 2%. It lathers up well and gives a great deep cleanse. I know this as it removed my daily make-up perfectly as when I toned afterwards, there was no residual make-up left on the cotton ball I used. My skin felt so clean afterwards and not dry at all. For around $25, dermatologist developed and made in France this is a very affordable top quality Cleanser.

The product is in a pump dispenser bottle which I really liked- as you can access without having to replace lids etc- I stored mine on a shower shelf to use morning and night. I liked that I could use it without any throwaway material- I personally don’t like the concept of cleansing wipes, as this contributes to landfill. It lathers up nicely, and cleans your face well, without making it feel dry- my face was definitively smoother. I noticed my pores were not as raised, and black heads reduced significantly. I feel that the look of my skin has improved- the small blemishes that I often get on my chin haven’t reappeared in the last few weeks of trialling this product. I will continue to use- and likely to purchase further in time.
Too be honest, I was nervous about trialling this product. In the past products aimed at clearing up spots have been really drying to my skin.
I was surprised and relieved to find this face wash wasn't drying at all, even before I'd moisturised.
The bottle was easy to use, with an easy to use open and close mechanism.
To be honest, if I'm conscious about washing my face twice a day almost any cleanser will keep my skin clear, so I decided to up the challenge and also use it on my arms - where I have Keratosis pilaris (those little bumps). Using this product does seem to have reduced the bumps, without drying out my skin, even though I haven't been moisturising my arms after.
This product is not beautiful or luxurious, but it has been doing a solid job of caring for my skin. I'm very happy with it and will probably continue buying it after I finish this bottle.
Tips: Remember to shake it before using it.
I have always used acne-control cleaners - I'm in my early 30s and battle hormonal acne on my chin. Prior to this I had been using the La Roche Posay Effaclar range. I found this cleanser fairly plain, which is good, but it did have a slightly off-putting 'pharmaceutical' smell (wasn't totally scent-free). However the main thing I have noticed is how soft my skin is, which I haven't found before with acne cleansers as they usually leave my skin quite dry and peeling. I did still get a giant spot on my forehead while using it, but didn't experience any chin acne. All in all I would use this again depending on the retail price.

The best thing about this was that it made my skin (and hands!) feel really soft. Slight decrease in shine during the day. But I noticed a lot of tiny clogged pores that I never get. So it's a 50/50 for me.
Tips: Suggest trying to see if it suits your skin.
I enjoyed using this product, I used it in mornings and night. I did not have any skin break out and my skin looks soft. Its very gentle to the skin and its not sticky when applied it creates a smooth foam as you wash your face.
The CeraVe Blemish Control Cleanser is a great product if you suffer from blemish prone skin.
The first thing I noticed about the CeraVe Blemish Control Cleanser, when I used it for the first time was that it was fragrance free, which is huge positive for me, as I personally prefer products that have a mild or no fragrance.
I have combination skin, so for me a product in my skincare route with salicylic acid is a must. I have been using this Cleanser for a couple of weeks now. This Cleanser has 2% Salicylic Acid, and I found it effective at both clearing up the small pimples I had on my face, and also preventing new ones from appearing. I found the formula to be gentle yet effective. I have sensitive skin and did not have any irritation. It also did not dry out my skin like other products can.
I love the packaging. It is aesthetically pleasing and has a luxurious look/shape to the bottle. I really enjoy that the Cleanser has a pump which is very convenient. I found that one pump was the perfect amount, so there isn’t any wastage. The Cleanser comes out as a liquid and foams up a bit as you rub it into your skin. I used this product in conjunction with the CeraVe Blemish Control Gel.
I was really impressed by the overall performance of the CeraVe Blemish Control Cleanser, and in particular how affordable it is. You get a decent amount of product for the price. I will be repurchasing once my bottle is finished. I highly recommend it to anyone dealing with blemish prone skin.
