I was super excited to be chosen for this trial because, 1. I'm always on the look out for the newest and greatest beauty products and; 2. Being that I have hair extensions, I thought my review would be helpful for others out there who also have hair extensions,
First off, being that this shampoo contains no silicone, parabens, and artificial colouring, it means for those who have hair extensions like myself, won't be damaging them as it is all natural products.
My own natural hair is quite dry and typically shampoos will strip A LOT of the natural oils (more than a shampoo should, especially on the extensions), which mean I have to use quite a bit of conditioner to get the moisture back). Not with this stuff. As soon as I had washed the shampoo out of my hair, it was already feeling soft and I felt that I didn't need to use much conditioner at all.
As for the scent, strangely enough to me it had a slightly minty/peppermint smell to it, even though none of the ingredients listed had anything that would relate the product having this scent. Perhaps it was the Safflower. Wherever the smell came from, it gave me a sense that my hair was clean, and it definitely gave me the assurance that it was a natural product as it just smelt, well, natural.
Size and pricewise, 400 mls is pretty decent for $17.99 (Loreal is somewhat expensive in NZ so I think this is a pretty good price). 400mls should last you a decent amount of time.
In short, if you have hair extensions, I highly recommend this shampoo as it doesn't contain any of those nasties that can shorten the lifespan of your hair. For those without hair extensions but who have dry hair, you will love this as well!
Yes, the packaging looks good, so the bottle looks good sitting in my shower!
I have been using this shampoo for just over a week now, and wash my hair on a daily basis. I have long hair, which has been chemically treated and not in the best condition, so please keep this in mind!
The first time I used the shampoo, my hair felt great, even before I applied conditioner.
you don't need a lot of this shampoo, and it does not produce a huge amount of lather - and it smells devine!!
As the days went on I found that the shampoo did not make my hair feel as soft and tangle free as it did after the first wash.
After each shampoo, I used the matching conditioner and on some days the treatment.
A younger family member with natural (non-chemically treated long hair) also has been using the shampoo and had great tangle free hair on every wash.
