Good for the price

This powder does an okay job at evening texture and setting liquid foundation. It lasts a few hours if used with a setting spray, migrated/wore off pretty quickly especially around my mouth. I'll use it up while I have it but didn't like it enough to replace it.

For context though, I'm very picky about foundation and often am dissatisfied by these products, for someone that doesn't mind the look of foundation on the skin, this might be completely fine.

Matte Everyday Powder

Used this powder for years! I liked the fact it added extra coverage on top of wearing a liquid foundation for a more full glam makeup look.

The finish is matte but it's also not extremely drying on the skin like some other powders. Helps reduce and keep shine away while building extra coverage so it's great for areas such as the t-zone.

Very affordable pricing so it's always easy to grab without breaking the bank.

Tips: Use a fluffier brush for a more diffused look - minimal, not heavy looking on the coverage. Or try a powder puff/sponge to build up a fuller coverage look on the skin.

Rimmel Matte Powder

I have been unfortunately blessed with oily skin and have been looking for a product for awhile which would combat my oily t-zone whilst not having to reapply it through the day. Rimmel matte powder really does what it says it does, it adsorbs oil throughout the day keeping you looking fresh, and it is absolutely fantastic for the price. Although I do have a nit picks about it, i find it can come out looking quite powdery/cakey on the face. Also the colours are quite difficult to match correctly, seeing this I went for the transparent shade and it can make me end up looking super white and ghost-y

Tips: start light and build up, also if you are wearing it for a night where photos will be taken, take some selfies before leaving the house to check it's not showing up super white

The best of both worlds

I'm 'blessed' in a way to have normal-dry combination skin so I don't have to worry about my makeup slip and sliding unless I'm working/sweating - there are days that I want to change up my makeup routine and have a matte finish (although probably not the best for my skin type) and this is the perfect powder! I use it in the shade translucent to give me a matte finish with or without a liquid foundation underneath. Its affordable - especially on ASOS for under $10 - about $5 when its on sale with discount too.

Tips: Use a moisturiser and let it sink into your skin and lightly brush this on top for a sheer layer as a 'barely there/no makeup' look!

Alright powder

I used to like this powder until I've tried other better powders and realised this is just an 'okay' product. I have oily skin so I like mattifying products. This doesn't last a long time and I could never finish/hit pan because it forms a hard layer on top of the powder so I couldn't get any more product. I've repurchased it a few times and it always happened. I feel like it was a waste of product although it is quite inexpensive.

hmm

After using this product I have decided I don't like the matte finish as I find it looks cakey. However it does give the matte finish it claims to give so no complaints on that behalf.

Perfect Matte

I recently bought two shades of the Stay Matte pressed powder as they were on sale. I love that they can provide the perfect matte look and not be too thick or cake-like. I prefer pressed powders over loose as I seem to make the biggest mess with loose powder. I love that it creates the matte finish but doesn't dry out your makeup or skin, as a person with dry to combination skin this was a big plus for me! I did find that I wasn't able to get much powder on my brush in one go so did have to build the product up a bit to get a nice even coverage. I would still recommend this to my friends as it is a nice affordable product that lasts all day.

Affordable Product, but can be drying

I had heard a lot about this face powder and for a long time I didn’t see the point of even wearing a face powder so didn’t think about buying it. Once my foundation began to get patchy, and not wear as well I decided it was time to be a face powder and this was an affordable option so was something I really couldn’t lose on.

I have this face powder in 01 (translucent) although it comes in other shades as well. It comes in a flat pan shaped container with a see-through plastic lid. Really simple design, and easy to use. The packaging is not exactly pretty but it seems to do the job.

The powder is smooth, but maybe leaning towards slightly chalky. It looks white upon a swatch but once it is blended in it is invisible. I use this powder with a fluffy brush and use to it to set my makeup. Personally, I find this is a little drying around the eye area and so although i do use it to set my concealer, I make sure my eye area is really hydrated before I use it, otherwise it just looks terrible. However for all over face setting this is good (minus the colder months when my face is dry), and I do find it makes my makeup wear better and longer throughout the day.

I brought this for around $6 and for that price I would repurchase again. This product is affordable ad does the job. It can be a little drying so I opt to use it in the warmer months, and use another powder in the cooler months. I have been using this on and off all year, and I have hardly made a dent in the pan so really is value for money too.

Why am I so Shiny!?

This powder both does and doesn't work for me. Upon application it quite obviously improves the overall look of my skin and mattifies any shininess. The problem is that (and a fairly considerable one considering the name of the product), it doesn't make my skin STAY matte for long. I'm quite surprised by this considering how much others seem to love this product.

My skin is particuarly prone to getting a sheen on, and while this powder does initially mattify and aide considerably in making my skin look great, the effect seems to last only for a few hours. A touch up with this powder solves the problem for another few hours, and it doesn't appear to cake up with a few layers.

Despite it being a bit of shame that this powder doesn't provide a long lasting matte finish for me, I still really like how it improves the finish. It's also lovely to use, nice and light, and it's reasonably priced.

A good powder

I have this powder in the translucent shade, I really like this powder. It helps make up last all day without getting oily and it also does not look too cakey and does not go patchy either. The size of the powder is also a decent size and it lasts a very long time.

The only thing that I am not happy about it, is that Rimmel still test their products on animals and I would rather buy a different powder that is not tested on powder that works just as well.
