Rimmel Lasting Radiance Primer Reviews

So the trial started with primer, sweet sweet primer. Using this to start the base of your makeup regime just takes your makeup to another level, I've never tried primer before but dam I will be from here onwards. It's so simple an makes the rest of the process so easy an longer lasting, I applied this after I washed my face an used my normal daily moisturizer. I have shared this product with my mum and sister they are both as hooked as I am, I would absolutely recommend this base product to others as it now has a place in my everyday process.

I prefer a dewy radiant primer so when the reviews came out on this one I just had to give it a go.

It is very easy to use just glides on like a moisturiser and very lightweight. It contains tiny sparkles which gives your skin a radiant appearance. Blends easily and doesn't streak. This primer sets my skin for a good base for my foundation and lasts throughout the day.

Thanks for the opportunity to try this brand I've never tried before i really enjoyed it. The tube is a good size and once i opened it i was greeted with a nice fresh scent. The colour of the primer is a pale yellowy colour and it has a nice consistency. It has a little glimmer to it so the first time i put it all over my face and I'm sure i sparkled all day! The next few days i wore it just on my cheeks and forehead and i also had a day where i just wore it on its own. I love it it definitely helps the staying power of whatever you put on next. I tried the Rimmel foundation and then i tried my Garnier Bb cream that ive been using for ages and both had better staying power with the primer underneath. Def a stable for me i reckon.

When this first arrived I thought this would just be another average primer, then I used it.. it was tinted and had glitter in it to make my skin glow! It was light on my skin and I could wear it alone or under foundation. I felt it really helped give my foundation that extra staying power and it stayed put on my face all night on a night out. Would definitely use again

The Rimmel Lasting Radiance primer is very good a making a smooth and even base for your foundation.

The packaging is nice, it's clear what it is, and it looks chic and simple.

It's a great primer for anyone that prefers a dewy finish to a matte finish.

I’m so excited about this primer as I’ve always stuck to mattifying primers because of my oily skin and believed I couldn’t get away with something a little more glowy. It feels almost like a lotion to the touch and blends beautifully into the skin. There’s a slight cucumber scent but it’s very subtle and I really liked it. I was initially shocked at how radiant it made my skin and kept its radiant finish even after I applied my foundation. I have tried this under 3 different foundations and it definitely gave me a lovely base and did help my foundation to go on evenly and keep it fresh. I love the simplicity of the tube as it’s easy to travel with and although it may be a little glowy for someone that experiences a lot of shine throughout the day I would say it’s suitable for most skin types. This has quickly become one of my favourite primers and I plan on using it this weekend on a friend when I do her makeup for her 40th. Well done Rimmel and thanks Beauty Review for introducing me to one of my favourite products of 2019.

The Rimmel brand hasn’t really been on my radar, quite embarrassed to say I assumed because of the pricing and packaging it seemed more suited to younger skins. The logo and feel of the brand gave me the impression that it’s aimed at the younger folk. WOW, I was wrong.

The primer is just a darling little product, tube is 30ml. Good value at $16.99 but wouldn’t mind paying a bit more, say $19.99 for a 50ml tube.

Texture is smooth with a light golden tinge. Seriously an amazing product to apply and smooth out, leaves my skin with a flexible and non-tightening clear layer, oddly enough doesn’t inhibit application of foundation.

Products used underneath combine well (no bobbling). Previous primers I have used don’t really work with some products applied first; this one hasn’t given me any trouble. Radiance is the perfect word to use, no oily finish, brightening & hydrating finish. The claims are not at all miss leading.

The packaging seems a bit boring, the white with the orange just not at all eye catching, but really appreciated the same colouring for the Primer, Foundation and Concealer in this Radiance line. Orange indicating products in that colour are “Radiance/Illuminating”.

I am surprised about how many products are available from Rimmel for everything makeup :-) Of course now won't overlook Rimmel as a brand. States online the product has SPF25 UV Shield but doesn’t say on tube at all. Its a preferred ingredient for anything “face” related, I probably wouldn’t have chosen this product over another with SPF if I was shopping.

Fragrance is fresh, bit hard to put my finger on it but reminds me a bit like that first smell of spring, refreshing, light and subtle. I am not at all going to pretend I am a “Primer” expert, I have tried them over the years and been left a little confused and disappointed but honestly can say this Rimmel one has left me surprised. The foundation (which is the Rimmel Radiance Foundation) has been a breeze to apply, especially impressed around the areas where foundation wears off quickly or cracking due to my “smile” lines.

A slightly cooling and refreshing effect, in the nicest way possible. Feel it will be a nice product to use over summer, perhaps with just some BB cream for casual days. Wearing alone is also an option.

Best described as a happy delightful product that I would recommend to others.

18 months from opening, know for sure won’t have this product in 18 months, well not the tube I have today :-)

My skin is dry, and has a tendency to look dull and flaky, so I prefer skin products that help me to look radiant. I was eager to try this product after I saw it come up for trial on BR. I have been using this everyday under my foundation since I purchased it. The bottle is white and stands on its head. The product name and description is written in orange, and it has an orange screw-on lid. The bottle is 30ml.

The product itself is easy to squeeze out of the bottle. It is yellowish-tan in colour, but blends colourlessly into the skin. It has a slight sparkling sheen when applied, which provides the radiance to the skin. The smell of the product is quite strong, a little reminiscent of sunscreen.

It is lightweight, as promised on the packaging, and blends into the skin weightlessly. It does not feel dry and combines well with my moisturiser. It does not irritate my sensitive skin either. You can see the radiant glow it leaves behind under foundation. My foundation sits well on top of this primer too. There is no separating or pilling. I cannot tell if it helps my foundation to adhere better to my skin, but it does not make it worse, and it provides a lovely glow.

Altogether I like this primer. I think it is a little expensive for only 30mls of product, but it does do the job, and gives me the radiant glow that I love. Recommended for those after a glowing look to their skin.

This lovely lotion-light primer gave me visibly radiant skin. With its powdery floral scent, this illuminating primer has a very highend smell and feel (creamy rather than the usual greasy gel formulas). This is a finer product than you might expect from a primer with such an affordable price-tag (around $17). The plastic tube is utilitarian- like a small sunscreen bottle- so there is zero shelf-appeal. I feel this lets it down as it is a really lovely product. I guess that the sporty orange and white theme gives off an idea of a sunburst and, hence, radiance. It lasted very well- with such a quality formula, it gave great grip to my foundation. I would definitely recommend this primer!

I was really excited to try this product as Rimmel is a brand I have liked and used in the past.

My initial impression of the product was that it was light, slightly runny and not greasy to the touch. The main minus was that even though I squeezed the tube gently, alot of product came out.

I squeezed the product onto the back of my hand and patted it onto the larger parts of my face first (cheeks and forehead), before applying the rest to my nose, chin and above my lips. It spread and absorbed easily, leaving no tacky residue.

I took a good look in the mirror after applying it, and although it didn't make my skin super glowy, there was a definite sheen.

As far as primers go, overall I thought this was pretty good, especially given it didn't leave a feel of silicone on my skin. It was nice and light and I would recommend it as a good daytime summer primer. I probably wouldn't use it at night as I need a primer with more staying power. The only real minus was that it was quite runny.
