Rimmel Lasting Finish 25hr Foundation is party-proof, transfer-proof and leaves you with flawless looking skin around the clock (or so they claim on their website).
I bought Rimmel Lasting Finish 25hr Foundation in Soft Beige (#200). The foundation comes in a clear 30ml glass bottle with a red plastic lid and red plastic pump dispenser. The dispenser is really easy to use, it eliminates waste and the clear glass bottle means that you can see if you're starting to run low.
Unfortunately, the foundation is definitely not transfer-proof (a small amount still rubs off) but it does give me instant, perfect medium to full coverage that leaves me with flawless looking skin and that feels comfortable.
I prefer to use a flat topped foundation brush to almost buff the foundation onto my skin, using a small circular motion. I find that this gives me an almost airbrushed look and minimises the appearance of large pores around my nose and on my cheeks.
The best thing about this foundation is that it doesn't settle into fine lines, doesn't look caked on when built up to full coverage or when powder is applied on top and its affordable. It really does look and feel like a high end foundation but is affordable enough to be replaced as often as needed.
Would I repurchase this foundation? Definitely. I prefer Rimmel Lasting Finish 25hr Foundation to Revlon Colorstay 24hr foundation! Would I recommend it? Yes. I have naturally oily skin and it works wonderfully for me.
I brought this foundation as I had run out and wanted to replace my then current foundation with something that had more lasting power. I picked this one because it was 25% off a The Warehouse so I ended up getting it for around $15.
Unlike the above picture, mine came in a glass pump bottle with a red lid, which is a much better design. The lid is strong and the pump is good.
In terms of the foundation itself, I've really enjoyed using it. It doesn't last 25 hours, but it does usually last about 10 hours which is the most needed hours. The coverage is a mid to full coverage. The consistancy of the product is fairly standard liquid foundation consistancy; neither thick nor thin.
Another thing that stood out about this product is that it had paler shades, which is something that I find hard to get in some brands.
I would repurchase this product and the postive results I've got from it have made me want to buy more from the Rimmel London range :)
