Okay, not amazing.

A bit too powdery, not enough colour and not enough staying power. Description promises too much, and it doesn't quite live up. It is however very blendable.

Tips: Clean eyelids, and primer!

Quality is not consistent

Revlon should bring back the old 'wet/dry' shadow quads from the early 2000s they were incredibly pigmented, smooth and velvety and had true colour payoff, even the last edition of colorstay shadow quads were better than these and they weren't great. All of the revlon shadows as of late are chalky, really badly pigmented (even over primer) and wont even show up well on someone like me who is pale as pale without packing them on and having fallout everywhere. I have the same issue with their blushes - not impressed, I have owned these in Addictive, attitude, luscious, moonlit and delightful (which was the worst of the lot even the black shade doesnt show up) and they were all lacking serious pigmentation. For $30 I expect better quality the Luscious quad was just ok (greens but so much fallout) but I have to admit I love one of these which hasn't been a dud which is the Adventurous quad which is amazingly pigmented has some fallout/glitter but is overall a great palette for hazel eyes it consists of a beautiful bronze, creamy gold, auberine toned chocolate brown and a wonderful olive green the pigment of this one makes it worth the price but I do not recommend any of the other shades I have tried which is almost half of the shade selection on offer.

Tips: If you are going to get one and you have hazel eyes make it the Adventurous quad - pass up the rest just not worth the money/work you will have to put into making them look right. A primer is also must with this product!

Revlon eyes

I like this little set and the colours are good and they blend well, but they are rather powdery and certainly don't last 16 hours. I've always been a fan of Revlon eye colours but this isn't in my top favourites list. I agree with the reviewer who talked about the old wet and dry colours. Good for weekday makeup as long as you use the blending brushes for a best look.

Tips: Blend, blend blend!

Pretty darn good

I'm a bit of an eyeshadow snob, but the purple palette of this totally caught my eye. I like it. Good pigmentation, long lasting (not sure I'd ever get through a 16 hour day with it on, I must be a Nana!) - and they apply and blend well. I like that Revlon have a guide on the back for novices to suggest where to apply colours in certain places on the eye.

BUT.... For the price that we pay in NZ though - seriously? Can get higher end cosmetics online, shipped to NZ for cheaper than what Revlon sells their products for in NZ. This makes me really sad!

Great daytime look

I used the pallet featured in the image, and it is a great daytime look for my pale skin and blue eyes. It is not highly pigmented, so if you want more color, you'll have to press a bit. However, I like the subtlety. I would keep this in my purse for work as it is a great all-arounder; no other eyeshadow needed. The biggest downside is that it does crease quite easily, so primer is definitely needed.

It's OK

Definitely doesn't last 16 hours, maybe 5 if you're lucky. Quite crumbly/chalky. I like how it has the guide on the back for where to apply and it is a good mix of colours but its definitely not quality eye shadow.

My colours....

So I got this (a while ago) and although I do not wear eye shadow everyday (it is left for nights out....... whenever they are) but I used it last weekend which reminded how much I enjoy wearing eye shadow.

I enjoy the four colours (mine is as pictured on here with more earthy colours - these are always my colours of choice as they bring out the green in my eyes.... or the blue... whatever they bring out my eyes) and I LOVE that it is all on one easy to use pallet - this is my going out make up, less to carry if I am getting ready at a friends. I always fade darker on the outside of the eyes and lighter towards the nose. Like most people I use my own eye shadow brush because the one it came with is .... ummm terrible (yup I am going to use terrible) - it is just one of those foam eye shadow things that is hard to blend and never puts enough colour on. Just another reason why my brushes keep on paying for themselves lol (justification people)

It doesn't wear as well as my new fav which I will hopefully get to review at some point. But it is a good one for going out with. However you would need to touch it up if going out after work and wearing all day.

Tips: Use your own eye shadow brush to apply it will make the world of difference.

Good, but for the price...?

I have always liked Revlon products. But their prices are going sky high! This is the perfect example.

The eyeshadow quad is a cute little mix of colours that work well together - they suggest what can be used where on your eyelid (lid, crease etc) which is great for beginners. There are different blends, great choices for day or night wear. Mine is quite dark blues and greys, so best for night. They blend well, there was some fallout when using my brush. It creates a lovely look and wears well.

BUT - I just can't really recommend this based on the price. I have some amazing palettes that cost me less than the quad which have such an amazing array of colours. For a little more you can get some well known palettes. So while I do still like Revlon, I just think the price is getting a little crazy and your money would be better spent on a palette that is more versatile.

Its an OK product

The colours included on the nude Pallete are really nice and extremely versatile, allowing for the same pallet to be used either by day, or using the darker colours for a night time feel.

The eye shadow glides on easily enough, but the pigmentation is bad, and the colour almost disappears when out on the eye socket, particularly with the lighter colours. It takes quite a bit of effort to asppear like you are wearing the product. For the pricey RRP, this isnt a winner in my opinion, and there are cheaper better versions of a mainstream colour available.

Tips: use the guide on the back of the pallete to build a good eye base.

Just don't use it

I recieved one of these in a Revlon 'spend $65 get a free wee pack of makeup' deal. I have it in shade 500 Addictive Intoxiquant and I'm just not a fan. I've tried using it quite a few times but I just find the colours aren't very pigmented and don't build up very well. I just can't get t to work for me! They do blend pretty well and have a lovely shimmery sheen to them but it's just the pigmentation that lets them down! As a result I really never reach for this small palette, instead I have a number of bigger palettes I can create a many different looks with.

Revlon make some great products but I just find that this isn't one of them!

I totally agree with you on the lack of pigment!
