This product did not give me the effect that I wanted. It did not really help cover the redness/pink of my cheeks. I do like the formula though and it felt really nice when I put it on.

Reviews
I bought this primer at the same time I bought the clear version of this. I have quite a lot of redness on and around my nose and was hoping this primer would help correct this. I find it works great as a primer (See my review for the clear version as I find it exactly the same) however personally I don't think it does anything to combat redness because this product is far too sheer to correct any red tones.
I have tried using this primer on one half of my face and the clear version on the other side of my face after using just the green one and seeing no obvious difference. With the two side by side I could still see no difference and neither could my family. Although this product is scarily green in the packaging, they weren't lying when they said it was sheer!
So basically this is a great cheap silicone based primer but it doesn't do anything to correct the redness on my face (maybe i'm just too red!). I wouldn't recommend it to someone looking to cover redness as I don't believe it works for that however I will finish the product and would use it again (if the clear version wasn't available) as a regular face primer. Hope this helps!
This stuff is awesome. Easy to apply and leaves skin feeling sily smoothe... its consistency is gel like, which is different to other primers Ive used before. This primer helped my foundation/ concealer go on well and I found I needed less product to get the coverage I was after...compared to what I usually use when i use other primers.. I love this elf primer! Highly recommend!
Heard everyone raving about the elf primers so I ordered one from iherb and I love it. Makes my face feel soo good and makes my makeup go on so much better. The only thing I've noticed since using it is that I'm more oily at the end of the day but I'm not sure if its the primer contributing to that.. For the price its amazing!
I brought this after hearing many people rave about it, and because I do tend to have red toned skin.
The formula is very silicone feeling, but glides on nicely, and one pump does your whole face.
I found that it didn't really conceal any of my redness on my face at all, but a primer, it does make my makeup go on nicely, and last longer.
I did need to touch up during the day, but for a $6 primer it's pretty good.
I like e.l.f primers. They're the first primers I ever brought, and I got them off of iHerb which opened up a can of worms on it's own ;-). After using the normal mineral infused one, I decided to try the green one, as I have a bit of redness in my cheeks which drives me crazy and often isn't covered by foundation.
The color of the actual product is gorgeous, it reminds me of lush forests. It feels very silicone like, but it's not a bad feeling? I rub it all over my face and my face becomes so super smooth. I like to touch it a lot after haha! It holds my make up all day, except for parts like around my nose, but I don't expect miracles!
Upon application of this silky product I don't really notice that it covers the red. I apply it over top of moisturizer and let it sit for a few minutes before I apply any foundation or BB cream. Once the brown goo has been applied though, I do see less of the red coming through, so I suppose it works a little. I just wish it was instant action rather than covering it up! But never mind.
You really don't need more than a pump of this stuff. I put the little pea sized (and colored!) ball on my middle finger and rub it with my other hand, and away I go. One pump is more than enough to cover your whole face! So while I have something else that I use now, I would definitely repurchase this primer. For the price it works better than expected!
I saw everyone going on about how amazing this was and how it really helped their redness, and I have redness in my cheeks so I thought I might as well give it a go. For the price, I am incredibly impressed, but I don't think it does a huge amount for my redness. It decreases it slightly once I've put foundation/BB cream on, but not a huge amount. But I like this primer for the fact of how smooth and silky it makes your face feel, because it really does feel gorgeous. I find it also makes your foundation last quite a bit longer than any other cheap primer does, but it doesn't quite last all day. FOr anyone who has never used a green primer before, it can be quite disconcerting and you think it will make your face appear green, but it just blends out to be invisible on your skin.
I purchased this off iherb a while ago and before purchasing was not a loyal primer user. The two elf primers I have tried have converted me to using primer on an everyday basis. I have visible pores around my nose and cheek area and find foundation often seems to make my pores even more visible by sitting on the skin or sinking into the pores and making my skin look the opposite of the smoothness I desire. I also have redness around my nose which I really don't like. I have very sensitive dry skin so have avoided primers in the past as it is just another product piled onto my sensitive skin that could reek havoc and cause more dryness, irritation or breakouts. I am happy to say this primer has done none of the above and nothing but good things for my skin.
I find one pump of this product is the perfect amount to cover my entire face and comes cleanly and evenly out of the pump. I concentrate the product most on my nose/cheek area where I have issues with my pores and redness and also my nose, chin and forehead for any oiliness that may developed during the day (although for me this is usually only necessary in summer as my skin does not get particularly oily). The vibrant green colour of this primer is a tad concerning the first time you use it, but, I assure you it is transparent in colour when applied to the skin (So no need to worry about looking like the hulk).
The texture of this primer is similar to most silicone based primers and leaves your skin feeling silky smooth and soft. I find it helps smooth over dry patches, definitely reduces the size of my pores and their visibility under foundation and prolongs the wear time of my foundation or bb cream. I find it doesn't completely eliminate redness but most definitely reduces it and when I apply foundation over this my redness is gone baby gone! I am extremely impressed! I like to leave the primer for a few minutes to let it truly sink into the skin and just leave a gorgeously smooth canvas for my following makeup.
The packaging of this is plain, simple and sleek with a super handy pump disperser. Other primers I have used, just come in a squeeze tube and I find getting the perfect amount of product a bit of a battle. With this I don't even have to think about it as one pump is perfect and mess free.
In my opinion this is a fantastic primer irrelevant of the price. The super cheap price just makes it all the more amazing. For $6 I think this is a must have for everyone. I will definitely be repurchasing this and continuing to use it on a daily basis.
Tips: One pump is the perfect amount with this product. Once you have spread it evenly over the face, allow it to sink in for a few minutes before you continue to apply your makeup to get the best results. If you have visible pores, dryness which causes your foundation to look flaky, redness or just want your foundation to last longer give this a go. If you don't like it (which I doubt will happen) it only cost you $6!!
I brought this on iherb for $4. I didn't think it would be that great but thought I may as we'll buy it because it's so cheap.
I have redness around my nose and cheek area and enlarged pores on my cheeks. When I put this primer on I definitely noticed a difference to my skin tone. My redness was nicely covered. It was so soft and silky. It wasn't greasy or made my skin feel wet (which I have experienced with some other primers).
When I put my make up on it look really good and lasted all day. I didn't need to do any touch ups and my pores were definitely covered. It's fair to say that I am now a convert to elf products. It's definitely a great but. Great value for money.
Tips: Let it dry on your skin before applying make up and use the elf kabuki brush for a beautiful finish!
Primers. I have never been a fan, of any!
I purchased this primer from iherb.com after hearing great things about e.l.f primers. I wanted the original however they were out of stock so I purchased this instead.
Lovely packaging for how cheap the product is. Frosted bottle which shows off the green tinted product, I love how this product has a pump. One pump is all you need as this product goes a long way!!
This is green tinged silicone based Primer. I do not feel the green does anything for the appearance of redness, as you rub it out the green seems to just dissipate. I really HATE the feeling of the silicone on my skin... it actually makes me cringe! It does make foundation application easier however I feel like it makes your foundation slip throughout the day and you end up looking quite shiny and patchy.
If you love Primers and Silicone based and feel they work for you and your skin/foundation then I would totally recommend giving this a go as it really is so cheap. I do not love it but will continue to try it on and off with different foundations. I don't think there would be much difference between this and the original Primer so if you are unable to get original then give this one a go.
