Smells like sulphur!

Like the other reviews have pointed out, this has a horrible and very strong smell (think: rotten eggs or sulphur). The worst part about it is the smell lingers even after a shower. I was positive I could still smell it on myself even after washing it off with a strongly scented body wash.

With the product effectiveness itself, I have always found depilatory creams to be not that effective. They get rid of a large amount of hair, though no matter how long you leave it on, there are a few hairs that still need to be removed using some other method such as shaving. This was no different in that respect.

I did find this wasn't overly drying or irritating to my skin unlike other creams. For that reason alone, if I do end up buying depilatory cream again, I would consider this.

Veet sensitive

Loved the fact it didn't stink! I can't use the regular hair removal cream because of skin irritation, but fantastically this stuff worked unexpectedly well! Had to use it twice to get desired result, but to be fair, I haven't shaved in aaages! Very happy with how well and EASILY it works

Tips: I found using it after a shower works best. I tried both ways but preferred after shower.

Neither Hair nor There

I used Veet consistently for nearly five years (before I got lazy, married and decided shaving was easier), and it mostly did an excellent job of getting rid of hair in my more .... sensitive .... areas.

Easy to apply, the texture was quite thick, so it didn't run into those ... sensitive .... areas. I used to read NW whilst waiting for it to do its thing, then using the spatula I'd whip off the product, the hair coming off easily, then I'd shower to get rid of any excess - and to try and remove the smell, because I didn't find it all that pleasant, quite chemically. Oh and that smell, it does stick around for a day or two - so ladies, if you're using this product for hair-removal in the hopes of surprising your significant other (IYKWIM *cough*), use it two days beforehand, otherwise peeeewhew!

Only had one bad experience and that was when I applied it on my armpits - I ended up in all sorts of agony and had to sleep with ice-filled flannels under them overnight just to ease the pain.

So does it work on sensitive skin? Mostly. Would I use it again? If I wasn't a lazy old married woman, definitely. Do I recommend it? Yes, but not on your armpits.

Holy Grail Monthly Use

Lets have a TMI spoiler here. I don't use this on my legs. I used to wax my legs so my growth is minimal - my nether regions however, need to be looked after. Noone is going to want to visit if the front lawn isn't looked after (amiright?!) Anyway, I use this all the time and I LOVE it, admitedly, the smell is kinda weird and lingers for about a day. I'm used to it now, so it doesn't bother me, however I can see how it would put people off. Still, it does what it says it will, I always repurchase, I have tried other brands & didn't like them as much, so I will continue to repurchase this until I die or win the lotto to get laser.

Even sensitive can be too harsh

I used to use this as my only method of getting rid of unwanted hair about 10 years ago, but not sure if they changed the formula or if my body changed against it but I only ever use it now if I donā€™t have a blade left for my razor.

The cream is fine to apply albeit a little on the messy side as the texture is extra thick and it has an odour to it that is a little off putting, the only way I can describe it is it smells warm and acidy. So you lather this all over you legs then you need to give the cream time to essentially burn off the hair, which takes 10-15 minutes depending on how thick your hair is, Iā€™ve got thick hair so I always leave on for the full time allowed, although it pays to keep checking with the supplied spatula every few minutes after the 10 minute period you donā€™t want this cream on longer than it needs to be. Then you rinse it off using the spatula to mimic a razor by scraping against the grain of the hair. Voila! Hair free legs, well kind of, they look tidy but as soon as you run your hands over them you can feel the prickly reside of hairs, that a razor would have gotten rid off leaving you silky smooth.

Also I find that even with this sensitive version of Veet that I developed a rash/itchy burn sensation across my legs within 24 hours, especially after showering (doesnā€™t help I guess that I have my shower so hot even Satan would wince getting into it ā€“ but that is besides the point I like it hot and shall do so) itā€™s not worryingly bad, as soon as Iā€™ve showered and dried I apply cream it dies down, it just seems harsh even in this formula.

Veet Hair Removal Cream for Sensitive Skin

Personally, although this product removed the hair effectively, I did not enjoy the days after as the hair began to grow back. I had trouble with ingrown hairs and it grew back too quickly for my liking. Wax all the way for me now.

Smelly but effective

Ok, it smells pretty bad and waxing (or laser hair removal) is probably a longer lasting, smoother more pleasant (?) way to remove unwanted hair from sensitive regions. But for some people waxing, laser or shaving sensitive skin can cause nasty painful ingrown hairs so a cream is the only solution. And Veet is a pioneer and well respected hair removal brand.

The cream does what it says on the box - use a THICK layer, this is no time to skimp - but know that that distinctive smell is going to follow you around for hours afterward.

Tips: DONT use this the same day you've got a special occasion - use it the day or night before and wash the area thoroughly a few times before going out. Otherwise the unpleasant smell will still be lingering on your skin.

Not a good hair removal method for me...

When wanting to experiment with other hair removal products other than shaving I went to my local supermarket to see the different options.

Firstly, Veet is a well known brand and it attracted me that this was specifically for sensitive skin. The packaging is simplistic and stylish, in a blue box with a modern design.

The first thing that I noticed was the smell, it was rather unpleasant like most hair removal creams I have tried. It really made me think again why I was using this method, maybe I should go back to shaving already! The smell remained in my bathroom for a while, not nice.

It did take a while to apply the cream with the spatula, not the funnest job when its rather cold in your bathroom. It was a challenge to get the cream evenly spread over my legs with the spatula provided in the pack.

The positive thing though is it didn't sting and make my skin red like other hair removal products have done in the past.

After five minutes of waiting rather impatiently I removed the cream and saw the results. It removed most of the hair on my legs, but not all. I ended up having to shave afterwards anyway.

Overall, I'm not a fan of hair removal creams. They are rather messy, unpleasant smelling and require to much waiting for me. I want my hair removal methods to be quick, convenient and no- fuss. So, I think shaving is the way to go for me!

Veet Hair Removal Cream for Sensitive Skin

I decided to purchase this hair removal cream due to having quite dark hairs on my arm and was not interested in having to get them waxed and though this would be perfect. I use this once a month and have found that this works great at removing my dark arm hairs. It is quick and painless. It doesn't smell amazing but I am not to fussed as it only takes five minutes to remove all your unwanted hair. I have found that I haven't had any reactions to this removal cream. I have also found that my unwanted dark arm hairs done grow back all that fast. I have already repurchased this as I love these products.
