The instructions are very easy to follow, however, the device takes longer than the 20 minutes to warm up to the desired heat, took 40 minutes and when I was applying the wax, I had to push down very hard, which was sore to do. The wax came out in thick or thin patches. After I had waxed my legs there were still hairs left so had to re-do it to get the hairs out which left my skin red and stinging so is abit painful. Also was hard to do the back of my legs by myself. There isn't many wax strips in the package, but the finishing wipes do take the leftover wax off.

Tips: allow plenty of time to do this as the device takes more than 20mins to heat. make sure to hold your skin taut when your pulling of the wax strips.
To start my review, I just want to say this device SUCKS!
It takes a really long time to heat up, the wax does not just "roll on" as advertised and is really hard to apply. It feels as though it's tugging on your skin/hairs as its being applied and does not go on even. Also the wax did not stick to the strip, and was a total nightmare. I will never use this thing again.
I am not sure if it was me doing something wrong? But I followed the instructions. Perhaps I should have waited longer for it to heat up..
It is a very cool concept though.. too bad it doesn't work :(
I was very excited to try this product since it came out but waited for a sale as it was a bit pricey for my liking, compared to my usual wax products. The wax rolled on nice and evenly and the pink colour was a nice added touch. The waxing strips were a lot thinner than usual strips and I feel this made them weaker. When pulling the strips off, parts of it remained attached to the wax, leaving my legs and waxy, fibrous mess. The cleansing wipes provided, also didn't stand up to par as I was left with a lot of residue still stuck to me after going through all four wipes.
All in all, this product is safe and handy, however not the product for me.
Tips: Use waxing strips from other waxing products as they are much thicker and stronger and will not tear during use.
Nope nope nope and nope. The device itself took well over an hour to heat up, then one I applied it to my arm and used the removal strip (as per instructions) not only did it leave almost all the hair still there or mostly snapped off at the shaft of the hair but it turned my arm bright red too :( then I tried on my bikini area and it caused ingrown hairs and hardly removed a thing.
Tips: Use this on extremely fine hair perhaps and only when you have a lot of time. I dont have many tips as I was so disapointed with the result.
To start with this seemed like a really good idea. No overheated wax, easy to apply, not too thick. It takes a while to heat up to a spreadable consistency but once it does it smooths on nicely.
The strips are a lot softer than most other wax kits. Unfortunately I found that this meant they were weak and instead of pulling off cleanly they ripped. On the upside it doesn't cause skin irritation. Even the few times the strips didn't rip it left a noticable amount of hair behind, not heaps, but enough to be annoying.
This kit comes with finishing wipes. Disappointingly these didn't work to remove any wax residues. Said residues were difficult to remove and as a result even months later my little nail scrubber brush is tacky with it and it still won't come out of one of my big fluffy towels.
I've given this a few goes and continue to get the same results. For what could've been an amazing product it's sadly relegated to a dark corner of the closet. Like I said at the beginning, the concept is brilliant. Maybe it just needs a little refinement.
Tips: Maybe buy some stronger wax strips for this to work properly.
I was so excited when I bought this product. I thought, yes! This is the end of my shaving days and going for a salon wax for good! I must say that after spending the money to purchase this product I was very disappointed. In theory this product works, but for someone who has thick and a lot of leg hair, it was a very long and timely process. It took me almost all of the sheets to do just one leg and it took me almost an hour to do one leg. I have up after I finished my one leg and went to the salon to get the other one done. For the extra money I pay I prefer to get it done professionally which is quick and effortless.
I used this on both legs, but really wish I hadn't. For purposes of the trial I did both and have welts and abrasions from the product being so full of chemicals! I don't have sensitive skin so I am sure they need to reconsider their ingredients. It also took a full hour to heat and still rolled on unevenly. Decent hair removing product, but strips can only be used twice before they don't stick to the wax leaving a horrible residue.
I found it took ages to heat up, and once it did was still very hard to roll on evenly and didn't come off well, or remove all the hair. I was hoping it would work better than the wax strips you buy packs of but found that it didn't unfortunately.
I used this product on my bikini line and I do realize that it might have been better if I had the smaller roll on adapter. However, I found that this product took ages to warm up, way longer than it states (40 minutes). I waited over 40 minutes and when I went to use it, it felt like the wax wasn't warm enough and was pulling on the skin. Sometimes in between the waxes I found it might have cooled down so I would wait another 5 minutes or so during the waxing session just to get it to roll on smoothly. It felt very sticky and would pull on the hairs and hurt. I have used the veet wax strips and I find these in comparison much easier and less messy. While I do really like the "idea" of the product. It didn't really work for me.
Tips: Wait at least an hour before using
This Veet at home waxing kit has not impressed me at all. I purchased this around a year ago when it was on sale due it saying you can get salon results at home and have just reused it. I wanted to try out this system as I was/am over shaving my legs and honestly love the results that waxing gives you. I loved how it included all the essentials in the kit and I looked through the instructions which seemed simple enough. The instructions state that the unit takes approximately 20 minutes to heat up, however I had it on for approximately 40-45 and found that the wax still wasn't heated properly as it seemed to dry on my skin quickly. I quickly placed the strips on top of the wax and I found that the wax settled on my skin. I found trying to get off this wax was really hard and have given up with trying to wax at home. I did find however that the unit sits comfortably in your hands and is also gorgeous because it is pink and white. I wouldn't repurchase this product due to it not working for me.
Tips: I would recommend not wasting your money or time and go to a salon to get your legs waxed if that is the method you prefer.
