Thursday Plantation Tea Tree Deodorant

I've been looking for a natural deodorant for a long time and when I saw this on sale at my local supermarket, decided to bite the bullet and try it. Firstly, I adore the smell of this! The tea tree is very fresh smelling but not so overpowering that you can smell it a mile away.

But for me, that's where the love affair ends. This deodorant didn't help me with sweat at all. I feel like it would last a quarter of the day before I could smell myself, which made me very self conscious! This also unfortunately also stained several of my shirts, so for me it's back to square one for finding something natural that works!

Firstly, this is not ideal after shaving unless a nice stinging sensation is your thing.

Secondly, it is a deodorant, not an antiperspirant. Sweating is natural. I think once you are clear on the differences you can adjust your expectations accordingly.

I was after an aluminum free deodorant as I had come to the realisation my pores were blocked resulting in darkness on my armpits. This has helped a lot and I have noticed a huge difference in the colouring around both my armpits.

I have tried a few and I do prefer this one overall.

I really like the fragrance of tea tree oil and feel that this lasts well throughout the day if I am not doing too much activity. If I am moving around a lot, I will reapply once throughout the day.

Classic roll on applicator which is easy to use and does not spill out everywhere. I also feel the product is well sized as it does last a long time.

I brought this deodorant to try when making the switch to more natural options. I found it way too sticky and it took ages to dry. It also caused a burning sensation after shaving so was not ideal to use at that time. The scent was pleasant but didn't last long, only a few hours max. It did keep body odor away but didn't keep me dry at all.

I have sensitive underarms and when I couldn’t find my normal deodorant in my local supermarket I needed another option. So for me something like the plantation tea tree deodorant was a great option. It’s mildly scented and aluminium free. Rolls on well and absorbs fast. I have had no issues personally using this product. Packaging is simple and pricing is reasonable and available at supermarkets. Only reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 is the product doesn’t last all day I usually reapply if need be in the afternoon, which could be a concern for some.

I bought this product after having it recommended to me. I have quite sensitive skin that reacts badly to certain products, but glad to say that the Tea Tree Deodorant didn’t give me so much as a red patch.

For nearly $9 you could do a lot worse. It’s not a huge bottle either but it does come in nice packaging and is labelled clearly.

It’s got quite a strong smell, in my opinion, which I wouldn’t describe as unpleasant, but it’s not exactly Sweet Like Candy by Ari, y’know?

Overall it’s a good product, nice and natural, but I wouldn’t buy it again as it didn’t wow me.

The first time I used Thursday Plantation deodorant I wasn't sure if I liked the scent, but as I kept using it I started liking it. This deodorant being a roll-on is easy to apply where you want it, rolls on with just the the right amount coming out, and feels natural on the skin. I applied it in the morning after my shower and it lasted all day. I like that it is made from natural tea tree, a pity it isn't a New Zealand product. So apart from the initial acquired scent, I am very pleased with Thursday Plantation deodorant and have continued to buy it and use it for the last 6 months. I like that I can buy it at the supermarket with my groceries at an affordable cost.

I really liked using this Deodorant! It was really nice on my skin, it smelt okay! but it was at a great price I had to try it. I do use deodorants twice a day in summer which is when I trialed this product.

I guess it was very cheap because the deodorant is smaller compared to others because it didn't last me very long which surprised me, deodorants do usually last me longer than this one.. but I don't think I'd use this in the long run.

But worth a shot! You won't be disappointed, it did the job, kept my armpits dry and cool.

I was really hoping I'd like this product. Other products by Thursday Plantation are awesome, but I wish I had read the reviews for this one first.

The idea of a less harmful, aluminum free deodorant caught my eye. If I can find a more natural product that works, I'm all for it. But sadly, this just didn't work for me at all.

When using this, I could literally smell myself. Which I've never had happen before when wearing deodorant. I may aswell have worn nothing because I think that something in this deodorant actually amplified the smell of normal body odour. Even my husband asked if I wasn't wearing deodorant. A couple of times I actually applied it twice in 1 day to see if that would help, but it didn't.

Perhaps it may work better for other people, but there is no way I will use it again as I would be too self conscious.

Personally I don't recommend this product.
