Schick is a favourite brand of mine for hair removal. After using the Schick Quattro for a long time I saw this advertised and wanted to try it, so in the shopping cart it went.
I love the idea of not needing shaving cream, as this has a lovely solid conditioning bar near the blades of the razors. Also, it's pomegranate -which is one of my all time favourite fragrances. It smells delish!
It's a great idea to have the solid conditioning, but in reality it makes it rather tricky to manouever over your legs, as the solid conditioner is rather bulky and gets in the way of a close shave- which is on of the most important aspects for a razor for me.
The actual razor looks lovely and feminine, but the conditioning part just doesn't work so well for me. I need a close shave, which I just couldn't obtain with this razor.
Overall, I have to say I much prefer my usual Schlick Quattro razor, which is far easier and more efficient to use. This was abit of a novelty to use, but I refer my old and faithful Schick Quattro.
I seem to be one of the few people that appreciate this product for what results it gives. Initially I was concerned about the price of the starter pack, but as soon as I used it, it was sweet relief from the budget razors I had been using before. This gave me smooth and moisturized legs without my having to lather my legs up in another product before shaving. My legs would be silky and and I felt like the took a lot of the stress out of shaving, I nearly never nicked myself either, perhaps only around my ankles, as the size could become an issue. There were unfortunately a few reasons why I gave it a 3/5 for 'would you use it again?'. 1. The price of the refills was the most expensive I had seen in the supermarket for a shaving razor refill, around $18 for two or three? 2. The moisturising bars on it would sometimes dissolve rather quickly when the razor was still sharp and good for use. On a few occasions the bars split and broke up mid-shave after I had used it a couple of times. Unfortunately these points have resulted in me changing back to a cheaper option.
Tips: Keep it out of the shower to prevent the moisturizing bar from dissolving during use of the shower from others.
