NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils.

I own 5 of these. I purchased them off BeautyJoint over to separate orders. Five shade I own are Cottage Cheese,Milk,Black Bean,Sparkle Nude and Cashmere.

COTTAGE CHEESE: This is a sparkly white colour similar to Milk but I don't think as strong and pigmented as Milk. I use this mostly and a base for a make up look if I was going to do an intense look and wanted a little sparkle to my eye shadow I think this one provides a not too over the top simmer. I also think it makes an amazing brow bone highlight.

MILK: Milk would be the one colour most talked about on Youtube and anywhere else. Its a strong pastel white. It's crazy pigmented and super blend able. It's my most used colour out of them all. It makes an amazing primer. Putting this on before using eye shadow makes the colour I am using pop and look so much more intense. I also find that this doesn't crease on me.

BLACK BEAN:This is their black they have. I mostly use this as an eyeliner but this could be used as a dark crease colour as its super blend able aswell. This one is so soft and glides on really nicely on the lid.

SPARKLE NUDE: This is a shimmery bronze colour. This looks amazing over top of "milk" I really like this one its works really well blended it the crease with other colours.

CASHMERE: I would say this colour is similar to Sparkle Nude but it's alot more towards a gold colour i use it pretty much the same as Sparkle nude as well. If I'm going to be working with gold eye shadow colours then I will also use this as a base as it starts the look off really well.

These are awesome pencils and are so handy with so many eye shadow looks. Would highly recommend.

This is an awesome review, thank you! :) I only have the black one and have only used it as an eyeliner. I think I'll be investing in some more colours as they all sound so versatile.

I always thought these were overrated and never bothered to buy any. But now I think I should give them a go. Specially the milk and cashmere colours :) Thanx for the awesome review

Milky Holy Grail.

I had heard about 4858545 amazing things about these pencils - the pencil 'Milk' in particular. I decided to bite the bullet and one 'fell' into my cart when I did an order from NYX when they had 40% off their site a while ago. In all honesty, I wasn't expecting that much... a white pencil? Not very exciting.

However, I now see exactly why this is a cult fave. It is super, super creamy and pigmented and can be used for many purposes. I have used it solely as an eyeshadow base.

Even though I always apply primer to my eyelids, I wanted to see if this would help make my shadows more vibrant. Absolutely, yes, this does. This is perfect for any colour shadow - I have worn it with a neutral eye, a smokey eye and a more colourful eye - and it truly makes your shadows pop.

Another cool thing about this is that once applied and blended out, it is slightly tacky so your shadows truly stay put. This is also really great for shadows with shimmer or glitter in them; as it gives the glitter something to adhere to - which means less fallout and more pigmentation (yay).

I am absolutely in love with this. It is easily a new holy grail and something I will definitely keep repurchasing. I highly, highly recommend grabbing this and seeing for yourself how amazing it is.

Tips: Apply this directly from the stick onto your lid and use your ring finger to blend it out.

My holy grail eye pencil

I have struggled to find a holy grail eye pencil. I have tried heaps (and I mean heaps) and not one of them have really stood out and made me go WOW. Until my lovely friend gave me this one. She gave it to me in the purple colour and can I just say WOW lol. Why do I like this so much, well read on.....

Size - its a great size, not too big but not too little either. Its comfortable and not bulky to hold, so its pretty easy to use.

Formula - can I just give a hands up for this formula please. Its so creamy and it glides on just beautifully. I like my eye pencils to be dark and thick and to go on straight away, without me having to apply over and over to get the colour to show up on my eyes. This is instant, maybe twice at the most and thats because I like it to be really dark. You could get away with just one application.

This is my ultimate favourite eye liner and I'm super fussy. Only problem for me is getting my hands on more of them. I wear the purple one because if you have hazel eyes, it really makes your eyes pop.

So if you have hazel eyes, or you're just looking for a really easy to use eye pencil that gives results, then you need to try this one by NYX :-)

Tips: Try it believe me you won't be disappointed x

I have hazel eyes too and love purple (and green) liners. Have been looking for a decent coloured liner since my fave Napoleon green was discontinued.

Love Love Love

I purchased two of these. One in milk a opaque matte white which is perfect for an eyeshadow base for coloured eyeshadows to enhance the vibrancy of the look and another one in french fries which is a gorgeous shimmery bronze shade.

I love how creamy these are, it makes them super easy and comfortable to apply to the lid. They have good pigmentation and are great for a nice smudged eyeliner. I use these both as eyeshadow bases, as cream eyeshadows by themselves and as eyeliner. I have never had issues with these creasing and I find they wear really well. I would definitely recommend these to others and will be buying more shades in the future. They are super affordable too as most of NYX products are which makes them all the better.

Thank goodness for Milk

NYX Jumbo pencils are a cult favourite and for good reason, they're smooth in texture - even the shimmery shades, they're creamy and go on without any tugging of the skin, they're extremely pigmented and they're multi purpose! I think a lot of people hope to use this as an eyeshadow primer and that's why it doesn't work out for them. You must always use this over a good primer because it WILL crease. This is meant to be used over a primer, under a shadow to get the best out of it. I have oily lids and this lasts, doesn't crease or fade when I wear it over a primer. I have 3 of these, Milk (obviously), Black Bean and Oyster. Milk and Black Bean are classic, must have shades. Oyster is a gorgeous shimmery purple shade and it's super beautiful. Milk is my most used and I love it for getting an intense inner corner/brow highlight, for making bright shadows pop and also for blanking out my eyebrows so I can colour them any shade I want. These will always be a beauty staple and everyone should own them.

Tips: Remember to primer first and set with a powder other wise you will experience creasing and fading.

Cheapies!

I personally own three of these wee guys, in Yogurt, Rust and Cashmere, and I Love them on my bottom lash line (LOVE) however I find they transfer so easily due to the very soft texture of the pencil if I try to use them on my top last line. But As an eye shadow they totally work! At work the other day I had limited supplies to jazz up the old face before heading straight out to dinner (so unorganised) and I whipped Rust all over my lid and blended it out and Voila! Magic! I was very impressed with how it wore. So Yes as a lower lash liner and a massive yes as a shadow!

Really enjoy this product

I have about 5 of these colours now and absolutely love them, the only problem is that they would always crease (I use a pretty decent primer) until I tried putting them over eyeshadow, which makes the colour stick in place like glue and no creasing at all! I don't really use them as eyeliner though, as I tried that once too which resulted in it leaking onto my bottom eyelid.

Tips: If there is creasing, try putting it over the top of a similar coloured eyeshadow, which also makes the colour really stand out.

NYX Jumbo Pencil

I have 4 of these pencils. I find them to be a nice affordable product but not very long lasting. They are pigmented and apply nicely though. I think anyone who is interested in this product need to keep in mind that they don't claim to be a long lasting formula and state they are a pencil, not an eyeshadow. I have shades MILK, ICED MOCHA, PURPLE VELVET and COBALT.

Milk is probably the most popular shade. It's a very pigmented matte white. Ideal for the waterline, inner eye highlight or as a base to make your shadows colour more true to colour and popping. While it is great at all this, on my eye lids it just doesn't last. I tend to roughly apply over my lid and then blend it with my finger tip, it is easily blend-able. It isn't effective at prolonging my shadows unfortunately but my lids do need a strong primer which this product does not claim to be. It does crease on me.

Iced Mocha is a gorgeous bronze, super pigmented and creamy. Great blended all over the lid. Once again not long lasting on my lids and does crease.

Purple Velvet is a dark purple shade, while initially very pigmented it smudges away very easily once you start to blend. It's suited as a base when set with a shadow but like with all, you may want to keep it close to your lash line and away from any creases!

Cobalt is a bright blue with a shimmer to it. It's a lovely colour but it loses a lot of opacity if blended too much (which of course is expected)

All these depend on how you want to use them. I think their ideal use is slightly smudged on the lash line. Your not going to get a super tidy lined look as they are jumbo pencils and I find they wear off really quickly.

Of my 4 I only use Milk regularly.

Tips: Using a brush, like a small angled brush, is my favourite way to apply if I want more precision.

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil

These eye pencils are super useful and can be used in many different ways! For spfx, brightening the waterline, as an eyeliner, and as an eyeshadow base! The pigmentation is excellent and I find the shade 'Milk' especially awesome! You can use it under any eyeshadow to make the color twice as intense! A catch 22 of the product is that the pencil form is super easy to use, but when it gets blunt and it comes time to sharpen it can be such a pain/hassle! I couldn't find a pencil sharpener that would sharpen it so had to depot it and lost a bit of the product which was a bummer! The formula makes up for it though!

Tips: Use it as an eyeshadow base to make colors pop and last longer!

Undecided...

This is a product which I purchased because of all of the hype which came with it! I had such high expectations for this product but I feel as though it wasn't half as good as what people were saying it was.

I have three shades and I just find them really hard to work with unless I prime my eyelids before - which for me defeats the purpose of even using them.

Tips: I find they work best if you warm them up first - scribble them on the back of your hand until the pencil becomes smooth. This provides a better application in my opinion
