MORHandcream - Luxury Scent but Not That Hydrating

I scored a bargain on a lovely, brand new tube of this. I loved MOR products ever since I got the body scrub and soap but the hand creams really caught my eye. And since I've become a hand cream junkie I had to add this to my collection. The scent I got was Blood Orange. The scent of this is beautiful there's citrus orange notes at the top and then some floral and sweet ones. It's a bit sweet but the orange and mandarin keep it from becoming overpoweringly sugary. Can we discuss the tube? It's really classy, looks really high-end. Seriously I don't get sucked into packaging much but the tube would add a look of luxury and class to anyone's vanity, beside or dresser. It's this beautiful dark red with a gold cap and the company logo and writing in gold. I almost just bought it to sit on my beauty table next to my candles and look pretty and this says a lot since I've never bought a decorative hand cream before. Candles yes, but not beauty, skincare or body care products. The formula has some great ingredients like sesame seed oil, glycerin and vitamin E which help to make your hands soft. When I apply this my hands smell gorgeous. However this is where it goes from being a fantastic product to not being something I would buy much. I have really dry hands and this doesn't provide enough moisture to suit my needs and the fact that it's a fragranced product doesn't help improve my eczema. It's just a personal thing and I'm sure a lot of people wouldn't have a problem with this. But as pretty as it is I need a more functional hand cream on my table for use so I gave my tube away. It does make a gorgeous looking, luxurious gift and looks really high end and classy. Despite me not buying this again for myself I would buy this as a gift for someone else.

Tips: Makes a luxurious, high end looking prezzy for someone. It is a handy size for your purse but with a tube that pretty you probably want to put it on your dresser or class up your vanity. I wouldn't recommend this as hand cream to use overnight as I think a richer and more hydrating hand cream would be more beneficial but if you do like to use it overnight at least you'll have something nice to sniff as you fall asleep.

Lychee Flower

I'm a bit of a hand cream junkie and apply several times a day, especially in winter. I had never tried Mor hand cream before but had heard great things about it. When a 50ml tube was being given away with a magazine earlier this year I quickly snapped it up. Oh how I love a magazine freebie! I decided to op for this in the 'lychee flower' fragrance.

The packaging on this is gorgeous and worthy of being left on a desk or coffee table - bright pink with the Mor design and lettering in gold. The scent wasn't quite what I was expecting. I've never smelt a lychee flower so I guess I was expecting it to smell like the lychee fruit. It is a very fresh smell, that is very uplifting. There is quite a heady undertone to it though so I think this is a smell that might not agree with some.

You only need a small blob of the white opaque cream. It slips easily over your hands and absorbs instantly without stickiness. This is great if you need to get on with other jobs. However I feel like my hands aren't moisturised for long and that I need to reapply frequently. I prefer something heavier that takes a while to sink in but with long lasting effects. This is nice to use during the day when you have other jobs to get on with but I need a heavier cream to use at night.

I enjoyed using this but I'm unlikely to repurchase it. There are other creams that I prefer in this price range.

Undecided

A really lovely hand cream with a gorgeous smell (Snow Gardenia). It is a little pricey although a little did go a long way. But I think the likes of Vaseline does just as good a job. A bit mixed. I do love this product.... but not the price. I would buy again but only as a treat.

Marshmallow

I bought a tube of MOR Marshmallow Hand Cream after reading so many great reviews. Unfortunately, for me, it doesn't really smell like marshmallows (and I love marshmallows, especially toasted over the Weber!), it's more of a musk and rose scent.

Scent aside, the pale pink 50ml tube with gold writing and a gold screw top lid looks very elegant and lady-like and the pale pink (or off-white) cream inside is absorbed really quickly, leaves absolutely no greasy residue and nourishes my skin well.

It's really great for daytime use, as my fingers don't feel greasy after using it and they don't end up sliding across my keyboard (nothing worse than trying to type with greasy hand cream on) and it can be reapplied often during the day, to keep skin feeling soft and hydrated.

The effects of this cream don't last very long, so it does need to be reapplied throughout the day, especially after washing hands.

I'd definitely purchase another tube of MOR hand cream and I'd like to try one of the other variants, although I do quite like the musky floral scent of Marshmallow.

Tips: Keep a tube on your desk or next to your chair and apply it throughout the day, preferably after every time you wash your hands.

MOR Handcream

Firstly I love the packaging of MOR products. I have the Marshmallow MOR hand cream which comes in a pale pink and gold tube. I used to use MOR body butters about 10 years ago and so the smell of this hand cream always reminds me of my early 20's. The smell is quite strong so you would possibly want to think about what other fragrances you are also wearing. This hand cream does not contain any parabans, mineral oils and isn't tested on animals all a big plus to me. Only a small quantity is needed (I use about a pinky finger amount) and it goes on smooth and instantly makes your hands feel smooth.

Tips: Spend extra time massaging it into your cuticle area for a quick nail treatment.

So Yummy!!

I got given the Mor Lychee Flower hand creme for my birthday

First off the packaging is so pretty. Hot pink with gold writing and a gold lid. Mine is a 50ml so perfect for the hand bag

I do get worried about hand cremes as theres nothing worse than putting something on your hands and the smell is horrible or way to over whelming( gives me headaches) Not with Mor. The scent is like true Lychee Flower and very subtle. Not over powering at all.

It leaves my hands soft and and hydrated. Soaks in fast and doesn't leave a sticky residue. Must have for any purse

Smells delightful

I have used the marshmallow hand cream for a very long while, years in fact, and last Christmas I won a gift pack of 3 hand creams (in different scents and packaging- Argan oil hand creams the packaging said)from the Mor Facebook page just to mix it up a bit from old faithfull Marshmallow! The marshamallow handcream does come in lovely packaging, matte pastel pink with a gold screw lid, although that said- I have bought it from a factory outlet occasionally and the packaging is very minimum when purchased from there- it is really just a white tube, white lid no gold embellishments, but it smells the same and is cheap (like $12 cheap). When I apply it before bed my hands just feel normal in the morning, not super soft or anything like that. I find that it absorbs quite quickly into my skin and isn't greasy, but my hands only stay soft for a little while afterwards. I haven't noticed any benefit to my nails and cuticles and I don't feel that it is a rich and luxurious hand cream- the packaging is definitely rich and luxurious but not the cream. Overall I think I prefer the Mor body butter over the handcream.

Delicious smelling

I have this in Belladonna and does it smell good! It feels amazing on my hands... As long as I remember to keep them moisturised. My hands dry out very very quickly and this isn't the best cream for them at all though it might be a different story if I had oily skin like on my face. When I use this I often have to reapply in half an hour but the good thing about that is that this will be gone sooner!

The packaging is absolutely beautiful. I actually have a different one to the one shown and mine has a gold cap, white tube and gold on the front with some writing in French on it. It'd probably break my heart to throw out the packaging once it's gone!

Would I get this again? No but I'm keen on their argan oil range. I want to see if they hydrate my hands for hours like the L'Occitane shea butter one did!

Tips: If your hands are insanely dry, you may have to look for something else.

Pretty Packaging, Average Performance.

I picked this up for the packaging. It's pale pink and gold, with delicate detailing to create a luxurious, feminine product fit for a fancy bedside table or designer handbag. Yes, I paid $40 (the larger size) for fabulous packaging.

Now that the packaging is out of the way, what is inside? A pretty standard hand cream, with a not so standard scent. The scent is soft, sweet and girly. Candy floss, vanilla and floral, but actually quite subtle. Although it is sweet and girly, it is nothing like Lush Snow Fairy or other sickly sweet scents. The formula is thin and absorbs easily, however the hydration provided is minimal. The product is pretty but the performance is average.

Unfortunately, I am terrible at remembering to moisturise my hands. So when I do remember, I need it to pack some punch. Therefore, I prefer a more hydrating option. I have another hand cream that I prefer over this one, with a much softer price, so I will not be repurchasing the MOR Marshmallow hand cream. I may however, purchase it as a gift.

Tips: Make the most of this packaging - keep it somewhere that you will see it often.

Gimme gimme MOR, gimme gimme gimme MOR . . .

I had read the lovely Shazatron's raves about this product, and when I found it marked down to $29.95 at a store I had a $10 voucher for, I decided to try it. Note that this price was for the 125 ml version, which is normally about $40. This is definitely on the expensive side for hand cream, but it's so scented that it can double as a body lotion, so that helped to convince me it was really better value than it seems, especially at less than half price!

I have MOR Hand and Nail Cream in the scent 'Marshmallow'. This sweet name, coupled with the baby pink and rose tinged soft gold of the packaging misled me a little, as I was expecting a super sweet, super girly explosion of scent a la Lush Snow Fairy.

This is not subtle. It's not sweet. What it is is sassy, sexy, feminine and divine. It contains (among other scents) Carnation, Jasmine, Vanilla, Rose and Musk in the scent combo . . . getting the picture? Spicy, floral, with just enough sweetness to soften the edges and stop it from smelling like you just rolled around in a florists.

The cream itself is thick and white. It spreads well and absorbs readily. Because it absorbs quickly it feels a little dry immediately after absorption, somehow. But wait it out - eventually your handles settle to soft, with a gorgeous scent that you smell every time you move your hands around. Caution: this one is not for ladies who prefer their scents to be in the background!

I'm not sure I'd pay $40 for it, but $17 (then any form of special!) for the smaller one does seem way more reasonable. I could see myself taking this away as a hand cream/scent all in one for trips away etc.

Is it the best hand cream formula on the market? No. Not at all. But it's so hard to care when your hands feel nice and smell amazing :)

Tips: I like to swipe a little along my collarbones and upper arms to enhance how much scent comes through - I do this instead of perfume.

Sample it in store first if you can. It's very distinctive, and you'll either love it or not - and it's pricey for a gamble!
